New to DealDash? Five Things You Need to Know to Get Winning

DealDash is becoming more and more known—and more and more popular! More than ever before, the number of new bidders in increasing on a regular basis and with that comes a welcome introduction of five things you need to know as a new bidder.

  1. Discover the Tools

DealDash makes it easy for new bidders to learn what they need to know through their How it Works tab. Within this section you will find many sections on how to get started, a fantastic tutorial and tips and tricks. Work through each tab to educate yourself before you get started. And don’t forget to check in regularly for customer-written blogs like this one!

  1. Bid Buddy is Your Best Friend

It’s true! Never miss out on the auction you want to win or get distracted by a doorbell and lose an auction again! Just pre-set the number of bids you want to place in an auction and Bid Buddy will do all the work for you, placing your bids, one at a time, at just the right second.

  1. Don’t be a Stomper or a Jumper

Nothing is more annoying than a “stomper.” This is someone who places one bid directly after each person on the bidding board. Doing so prevents the ten-second time from counting down for that person and prevents them from getting the “time as highest bidder” they could earn toward free bids. Use Bid Buddy instead. It’s a safer bet, you’ll use less bids and be more likely to win in the long run. Being a “jumper” is when you wait until there are just a few people in the auction remaining and “jump” in to start your bidding. Oftentimes other bidders who have been in the auction a while will just see this as a reason to raise their bidding stakes and outbid you because they’re in it for the long haul.

  1. Set Your Sights on Items You Want to Win

This is the No. 1 rule of DealDash, by the way. Bid only on the items you want to win. This is a tough one but it makes so much sense. Not only will you invest in what you want, but you’ll also not feel so deflated if you happen to lose. The best part of adhering to this rule of thumb is that you will be more likely to use the Buy it Now feature and get all your bids on that item returned to your account. It’s a win-win!

  1. Try Different Days and Different Times

Always ask yourself if you are bidding during a day or time when most other people you know have “down time” to do so also (is it evening, holiday or a weekend?) and if the answer is yes, then chances are the competition may be higher during these times. Try bidding during an uncommon day or time and you may just score the big win!

I hope these tips will be helpful and I hope that before you know it you will be winning big on DealDash! Happy bidding!
