Favorite Special Events by Barbara
DealDash.com offers many different special events on a regular basis. This helps to keep the shopping site interesting so customers return on a regular basis, too.
Three of my favorite special events are:
- Free to the winner—Whenever DealDash.com makes all of its auctions “free to the winner” customers only pay for the cost of the bids it takes to win it, plus only a one penny transaction fee. During this feature, shoppers do not have to pay a closing cost; however, it usually takes more bids to win. Customers tend to bid more because they can afford to bid more. If shoppers get into the right auction at the right time, however, they can really save a lot of money during this “free-to-the-winner” event.
- Fifty-percent off to the winner—When DealDash.com offers this event, the winning customer pays only half of the closing cost and DealDash.com pays the other half. For example, if the closing cost is $100 the customer only has to pay $50 and DealDash pays the other $50.00. I believe it might be easier to win this feature because there does not appear to be as much competition as the “free-to-the-winner” features. At the same time, shoppers can still win some awesome deals.
- 3X on the timer—this means shoppers will earn free bids on the clock three times faster. Instead of getting only 10 seconds on the clock for each bid, shoppers receive 30 seconds on the clock for each bid instead. That means the green line that appears at the bottom right of the computer screen will move three times faster. Once it reaches the end, customers can collect more free bids.
