If you’ve been bidding for some time at DealDash you have a “style” of bidding, you like to bid that way and it’s worked for you.  But I like to try new things all the time.  I especially love when DealDash gives us new features to help us win. It will spark an idea forcing me to adjust my bidding style.  Recently, after launching their newest feature, Win Limits Lifted, there is a lot to get excited about.

When I first came to DealDash their win limits included 6 prizes under $200, and 3 prizes over $200 per week, then they changed that to 9 prizes of any value and I started winning more high retail items, with this new feature, you can just keep winning and winning.  There is only one exception, you may only win each item once a week.  So if you won the Ladies Timex Watch today, you may not win it again until next week at the same time, but you can win any other watch you wish.

Once someone has won an item you will see they can’t enter the auction, so that frees up the field for you to win.  I used to love the limit list, but I don’t need that anymore and have traded up to the Winner’s List where I can see who’s won and what they paid for their prize.  I started a new list to keep track of my competitors wins, so I’ll let you know soon how those winners are doing compared to me. If you aren’t using the Winner’s List as a tool, that is a great thing to try new.  It’s a lot more than just some fun information, you can really learn from the numbers and players wins.

Along with the new limits there are some good old features that will help you win more auctions.  I love the  Bookmark Feature, it really helps me stay organized when I am bidding in multiple auctions.  If I’m only in one or two it may not be necessary, but it does help to keep you active auction at the top of your page.  You click the little white star in the upper right hand corner of the auction on the main page, it will turn yellow and there it is atop your page.

I used to love the Free Auctions, but I’ve found now I prefer the 50% and full price auctions because less players will overbid, and that will help the auction end sooner.  The Free Auction is really cool because you win an item for one penny, but really it is harder to win really popular or trendy items during these events, so you have to have patience!

It might be time for a new comment on your profile.  This is a great place to express yourself, but better than that as a strategy to make other players change their actions.  I love the comment where the player claims to “stay to the end” and they always leave early because the never stay in an auction more than 20 bids, it’s a strategy and it works for them.  It would be nice to see this person really in it for the long haul and win something more substantial, that would be trying something new and perplex players who pay attention to how long others stay in auctions.

You don’t have to get stuck in a rut when you are bidding at DealDash, they always put out new prizes,  new features and new sales for us to enjoy.  The prices for bids are the best on the web for the value of prizes and level of competition.  DealDash has such an easy-to-use platform and the features work well and you can win a lot of prizes bidding here.  To top that off all items are delivered FREE!

If you just signed up for DealDash you may not have noticed all the information on the DealDash Dashboard.  It’s where you’ll find useful information to help you win.  If you’ve been around and you’re not using the Dashboard, you may be missing out on some wins!

After the initial joy you get from bidding and winning at DealDash there often comes a time of fear.  I had this fear and have heard of others having it as well.  It comes from being smart enough to know you can’t win them all and not quite experienced enough to win more often.

So where you can gain some bidding power is in your Dashboard.  My favorite feature of the Dashboard is the “Bidding History“, it’s so much more than numbers.  All of the tabs are found in your Dashboard are on the left side of the page. Click on Bidding History and see how many bids you’ve used on an auction and if it’s ongoing.  This comes in handy if you backed out of the auction for awhile because it’s the quickest way to see if the auction is still ongoing.

I also use the Bidding History to remind myself who I beat or who beat me.  You can click on any one of the auctions you were active in and find out who placed the last 9 bids.  This is just enough to remind you if you are willing to get into another auction with this person right now.  Most importantly, it tells you how many bids you used on an item,  this will give you an idea if you bid too low.  Keep in mind no two auctions are the same, they all have personalities of their own, but you can use this a gauge to decide how many bids to use next time.

If this is an item you must have use this simple formula to figure out how many bids to use to BIN, (buy it now; when you buy an item you’ve tried to win and don’t win it you will get your bids back.) Use the value of the item and divide by the cost of the bids and you are left with the number of bids not to exceed to BIN, once you reach the BIN level it doesn’t pay to continue, what does make sense is buying it and getting your bids back.  For example, if an item is $15 and bids are .13 cents it would be 15./.13=115  bids.

The Bookmarked Auction Tab is also useful.  If you are in the habit of bidding on more than one item at a time, this could be very useful.  It helps you keep an eye on the activity of an auction that you have bookmarked, either to come back to later, or to know where the auction ended for research purposes. You can bookmark auctions a couple of way, one way is to just place a bid, it will be automatically bookmarked for you.  You can shop ahead of time and when you find an item you wish to bid on, click the little white star in the upper right-hand corner of the auction, this will also bookmark it, you can “un-bookmark” the same way.

When you are bidding at DealDash, use the tools they gave us, DealDash genuinely want us to win and they put a lot of effort and opportunity into making that happen. So, buy some bids, bookmark your choices, set an alarm if you have to come back to the auction.  Know how many bids you used on an item in the past and if you lost, plan to exceed that number next time.  Don’t have fear to BIN, it’s the best way to recoup your investment.  There are Buy It Now buttons on your Dashboard and in the individual auctions.

When I realized I was going to need a pressure washer to clean my deck, the first place I thought go to find one was DealDash!  I was pleasantly surprised to see they had a wide variety of pressure washers and then I realized I had to sort through all the options.

Everyday there are people on DealDash who you might want to “stay away from” but who knows who they are?  Well, you will get to know them over time, but in the meantime you could make an “un”-educated guess.  Here are a few things to look for to do that.

You’ve been in this auction for a couple hundred bids, and suddenly you realize you might not beat them, this is the first of your gut feelings that you should walk away, at least until later.  Often on big ticket items there are people who have planned on winning this for some time, they’ve done their homework, bookmarked the item and showed up on time.  This is the sure sign of a motivated player.  Secondly, this could be you so pay attention, that’s some of the best advice, it’s when you aren’t paying attention that you could make a fatal mistake.

Third, come prepared, if you are going to win an item worth more than $500, show up with some bids, the chances of winning a high ticket item with just 50 bids, although it does happen, are slim.  Just decide to buy the bids, it’s that simple, I used to buy 200 at a time, I’ve found it’s much better to have 2000 bids in your account, you’ll win more  because you aren’t tentative about bidding.  You go for it and win. This will backfire if you “spread yourself too thin”.  By doing that you have placed bids in several to many auction, you aren’t really paying attention to any of them, just don’t do that, by spreading yourself too thin you will go through your bids and unless you are a very experienced bidder, you could lose. If you only have 200 bids, just stay true to one auction, come and go if you have to, but pay attention and learn from the experience.

There are those players who just won’t lose, these are the ones you want to stay away from.  Get to know them as soon as possible. Bid and stay active in your auction.  Again, if you’re bidding in too many auctions at once you will not only learn nothing, you will go through your bids far too fast.  The next best advice I can give you is this, it’s simple and I’ve found it to be very valuable….don’t bid on bids.  If you do, don’t waste more than 25 bids, if you don’t win it right away, back away!  Some players are extremely hard core about winning bids, I used to be addicted to winning bids and found I always had bids, but not prizes, now I have prizes, a lot of them!

Don’t get discouraged, DealDash is actually a really, really easy format to win prizes, I have won well over 600, and you can too!
