Plan to win at DealDash, if you don’t plan your wins, you might not win.  The easiest way to plan a win is to go shopping first.  Find an object you want to win and bookmark it or click the “Alert Me” tab.  Both of these features help you show up on time for the auction.

Once you are scheduled and you’ve shown up for the event, place your bids in Bid Buddy, and then go do something else.  Make sure you put plenty of bids in the Bid Buddy, you could use the Buy It Now value of bids as a guide.  That’s the retail value divided by the cost of bids, the sum is they number of bids to place in the Bid Buddy.

If you don’t put that many bids in the auction and you stay in front of the computer, that’s fun, but it’s not planning to win.  The best way to win an auction is to stay focused on one auction at a time.  At times it’s difficult to do this, you’re bored you want to play, and all that is good, if you don’t plan on winning.  You have to keep in mind that because you play, does not mean you will win.

You will win many, many auctions by chance, but this strategy is about the plan and not about bidding randomly.  Let’s say there is that specific item you want from DealDash, like a camera.  You buy 2000 bids and place only 1000 on the camera.  Then you take the other and try to win a bunch of random items, you win one or two items you weren’t planning on winning and it was fun.  But now, you don’t have the other 1000 bids and the camera sold to the other player and they used 1500 bids.

To figure the number of bids another player has used, and it’s only and estimate, you would check their start time and average the number of active players then divide the current retail price by the number of active players.  This leaves you with the average each player used.  It’s not fool proof, but it helps.  If they just started, you know they don’t have the bids invested, but if they’ve been in the auction from the beginning, this more accurate.  Also, if you and another player started at the same time, you can estimate they have used the same number of bids you have if they 1. never left, 2. don’t stomp and 3. Uses Bid Buddy.

So, I hope I’ve demonstrated the importance of planning to win.  First seek out your item and then bid on only that item, leave the computer or your phone aside and find a chore, check it often to see how many players there are, and don’t fall asleep on the couch… ummm, yes, that happens, it’s how others win, we all make mistakes.  Don’t be too hard on yourself, get over it, move on and plan to win another auction.

If you want to win that one special item, make it special, and then treat it like an only child, your chances of winning increase because you aren’t spreading yourself too thin or using up your bids on items you don’t want or need.  Hey, you never know, it might close for a couple of dollars, you won it and you’re off the another auction for more goodies!

When thinking strategy for winning prizes, gift cards from DealDash have everything you need.  You can win the gift card to give as a gift, or you can win the gift card to go out and buy the exact item you need.  DealDash has a great selection of just about everything, but there are certain items you can only get a a particular store.

Gift Card are the best item to plan on “Buy It Now”, also known as “Binning” or “BIN”, you will see other players talking about it in their comment. That’s because it’s a great plan that works well when you’re bidding on an item, especially gift cards.

You can get gift cards for your gasoline.  Everyone needs to buy gas, so why not go for the gas card, you could win it for a fraction of the cost and that’s money in the bank!  If you don’t win the card by the time you get to the BIN price in your cost of bids, you can purchase it and DealDash will refund all the bids, as a thank you for buying the item, and to go try and win another prize.  They love when we win!

The formula to decide how many bids to use is simply the retail value of the item decided by the cost of bids the sum is the number of bids to use.  For example if your gift card is $25 and the bids are .15 cents, it would go, 25./.15=167.  That would be the number of bids to put on your item using the Bid Buddy.  Bid Buddy will bid exactly when it’s your turn and you hope to be the last bid placed!

Players win gift cards for pennies on the dollar all the time.  There is a culture of players in the gift card category who only win/bin gift cards or rarely go outside of the category.  They know the BIN strategy works and probably have a pocket full of gift cards!

Gas isn’t the only convenience you will find at DealDash, they also carry restaurants, big box store, convenience stores, toy stores, coffee shops and fast food.  Visit the DealDash page and search using the gift card category, bookmark your favorites and bid to BIN.  When binning stay very true to the cards you really want and need. Tip: During “Free Wins” events, gift cards will go long.  come prepared with bids and be prepared to BIN……you need it either way, and buying it makes sense.

DealDash puts out new items every day, but some items do not list every day.  For example, you can usually find a new design of a tie, or a new watch design nearly every week.  But, items like a Cappuccino Maker, a Microwave Oven or an Iron are special items that don’t come on the market every day, that makes them special and worth waiting for.

You can figure an everyday item is going to fall into this category.  Most coffee makers, toasters, and mixers are very popular and are usually scheduled weekly.  You can find them in the items listed on the “New Items” tab to see if it’s scheduled or it has an “Alert Me” tab.

If it’s scheduled, you will see the start time, and you can hit the bookmark star.  This will keep the item at the top of your auction page and it will be in your list of bookmarked auctions in your Dashboard. If it’s not scheduled, you will see the “Alert Me” tab on the item and if you click this, DealDash will send you a notice via email when it is about to come on the market.

This is the best way to “wait” for an item.  DealDash sends you an email three days prior, and the day before, and one more when it’s about to go live. You can’t miss it. Having 3 days to plan will give you a chance to buy your bids at the best price.  Check the DealDash Facebook Page to see what the latest sale is.

Popular items are often offered during a Free Wins Event, so someone will walk away with a fantastic prize for one penny!  Keep your favorite items bookmarked and Alerted, you never know when it’s going to come on the market.  You can figure at least once a week for most items, but some are every three days, and big, big prizes like a swimming pool or a hot tub are offered less frequently.

All of those estimates are just that, estimates.  It’s something I’ve observed in the several years I’ve been playing at DealDash.  There are other new items that will be offered every day, they don’t necessarily fall into the “everyday item” category, like art and clocks.  These types of items can be found daily and you can win them with fewer bids than the more rare popular items.

Of course, that’s not average either because people will bid endlessly on all items, if you don’t get your prize for the price you want, buy it!  Get the bids back and start over with another item.  That’s Entertainment Shopping, and at DealDash, they give you your bids used back if you buy it using their “Buy It Now” option.

So, go shopping, find your favorite items, bookmark and alert them, then wait for the announcement, check the Facebook page for sales, bid and repeat!  It’s so much fun to shop, plan and win with these few bookmarking tips.
