A brief history of camera phones

According to my research from information gathered in 2022, the camera phone is said to be 20 years old. However, it might depend on how you define a “true” camera phone.

On June 11, 1997, Philippe Kahn created the first camera phone solution to share pictures instantly on public networks upon the birth of his daughter. He jerry-rigged a mobile phone with a digital camera and sent photos in real time.

The first commercially available camera-enabled phone was either the Samsung SCH-V200, which was introduced in June 2000, or Sharp Electronics J-SH04 J-Phone, which was introduced 5 months later in November of 2000. The first smartphone to have multiple cameras was the HTC One M8 that really introduced dual lens cameras to the world and saw HTC trying to do something different. The HTC One M8 was launched in April 2014 and used two sensors in the same way that modern smartphone cameras do.

A brief history of sheds

The small, simple building in our yard where we keep tools or gardening equipment is a shed. As a noun, shed means “hut,” and probably comes from the word shade. But Shed is also a verb meaning “to cast off.”

Some items we should not store in an unheated shed are:

• Canned food, because canned food should not be exposed to excessive temperatures
• Leather furniture
• Paint,
• Electronics,
• Fabrics and paper products.

Resin sheds are the most durable because it’s weather-resistant to fading, rusting, warping, rotting, insects, and fire. Metal sheds are durable, too, but they can rust. However, metal sheds are more durable to the elements than wood. Vinyl sheds have a lifespan of 25 to 30 years.

Perhaps you noticed something new on DealDash.com referred to as offload auctions.

How are offload auctions different from regular auctions?

Let’s take a look at some of the main differences.

Price

Perhaps the first thing we might notice is that the BIN of offload auctions appears to be extremely high. At first sight, we might even think it has to be a mistake, but it’s not. Here’s why. Offload auctions includes a huge number of a particular product in bulk.

If we win an offload auction, we are not winning only one item, but we might actually be bidding on several hundred products. Let me give you an example.

One offload auction at the time of this writing is for sonic facial cleansers, but not just for one sonic facial cleanser, but for a grand total of 728 of them. The BIN of $109,200 might appear to be rather outrageous at first glance, but not if you do the math. If we divide the total number of units into the BIN, it would come out to be about $150.00 each.

If we were to look up the normal price per unit, this would actually be a reasonable price, and here’s the real kicker – the winner may very well win the entire offload auction for a lot less than the BIN.

In fact, the last winner of this auction paid a total of $4,731.99 counting the cost of the 22,213 bids placed. If we do the math again, in this case, that means the winner actually paid roughly $6.50 per unit and that could represent a huge profit even if each unit were resold for a huge discount of only $50.00 each. But, according to DealDash policy we cannot resell them, right? Wrong!

That, my fellow shoppers, is where another difference comes in.

An exception to resale policy

DealDash has made special arrangements and agreed with the brand partner that DealDash customers who win offload auctions do have the right to resell each of the units. While it’s true that in regular auctions we are still strictly forbidden to resell the products we win, DealDash has made an exception to this policy for the winners of offload auctions.

The bottom line

This means that offload auctions offers an outstanding opportunity for any DealDash shoppers who are already in the retail business and/or already operate their own stores.

If we keep our eyes open, we are bound to continue to see more exciting new auctions like this because DealDash is constantly looking for new ideas to keep its shoppers happy.

Did you see the foosball soccer table?  It has a BIN of $494 but it appears to be a brand new auction item so there are no statistics yet showing what bargain price it might sell. Actually, it looks like it is very competitive because 104 shoppers are competing in this auction at the time.

The dimensions of the table are 56-inches long by 28.75-inches high. This foosball soccer table weighs 102.60 pounds. This foosball game table set includes all accessories needed to play and has black, red and green colors. It has sturdy leg construction with additional apron and panel supports. The chips are 11 grams each with a 38 mm diameter and a 3.3 mm thickness.

This poker table has room for 6 people to play cards, and it folds for easy storage. When assembled, it is 46-inches long, 46-inches wide, and 30-inches high. It weighs 48 pounds. It has padded rails and cup holders

So far, it has no past winner statistics and no reviews by previous winners. However, this auction also appears to be fairly competitive because as of now 78 shoppers are competing in this auction.
