DealDash Tips – Make Wins Not Mistakes

DealDash Tips Snowflake

Are you making wins or mistakes? Here are some common mistakes and some tips from DealDash on how to correct them before they happen.

You’ve heard it before – everyone makes mistakes. And that’s definitely a true statement, however, how you react after your mistakes and learn from them is important. Every mistake is an opportunity to learn and become a better bidder. Let DealDash help you in your journey towards the next big win.

Mistake 1

The first mistake that we are going to look at today is not listening to advice. I know, I know, when you first find DealDash everything is so new and exciting that you want to jump right in and bid. However, reading up on all of the House Rules, the Tips & Tricks section, and blogs such as this one, DealDashReviewed.com and DealDashBlog.com will offer you a wealth of information that you can’t get anywhere else. Other people before you have made mistakes on DealDash and are willing to help you when you are a new bidder. Be smart, and don’t make the mistake of not reading, watching, and listening to their advice.

Mistake 2

The second mistake that we are going to look at is not taking advantage of DealDash’s great sales and promotions. DealDash offers discounted bids each and every day. Depending on the sale, you could be paying as little as .12 for bids! However, .12 is usually just for special occasions such as holidays, but you can regularly snag bids at .14, .15, or .16 per bid.

Did you know that DealDash also gives away free bids just for bidding? It’s true. For every second that someone is the highest bidder in an auction they earn “free time” that is shown at a bar on the bottom of the screen. When the bar is filled up then DealDash will give you the number of free bids that you are eligible to “claim.”

Pay attention to the blogs, especially here on DealDash Tips. DealDash Tips will occasionally tell you about sales and promotions before they happen. Wouldn’t you be sad if you missed a great sale because you didn’t know about it?

Mistake 3

The final mistake that we are going to look at today is not planning ahead. When you see an auction coming up in the near future that you are very interested in, you need to plan ahead. Planning ahead means that you need to calculate how many bids will equal the BIN price, and be sure that you have that amount of bids available in your bid bank. If you plan ahead you will be able to get the best prices on bids, and that means that you will have more bidding power than someone who bought their bids at a more expensive price. Don’t make such an easily avoided mistake! Plan ahead!

DealDash Tips: Become a Star Bidder

screenshot-11

Do you have what it takes to become a star bidder on DealDash? Star bidders rule the auctions on DealDash!

Star bidders are on the rise on DealDash! What’s a star bidder? A star bidder is someone who knows all the tips and tricks to win the most auctions on DealDash. Power bidders win by bidding until they win – no matter what the cost; Star bidders use the information that they have been given here on DealDash Tips and also over on DealDash Blog and win the auctions by outsmarting the other bidders. Don’t waste your bids by competing with the power bidders, use your knowledge and be a star bidder instead! Here are some guidelines to follow if you want to win more auctions on DealDash.

  • Do your research. When you see something on the front page of DealDash are you just randomly throwing bids at it? That’s not a smart idea – it’s much better to do your research on an item when you see it on the front page of DealDash, it’s very likely that the same item will come around again in the next few days or weeks.

  • Use the “Alert Me” feature that DealDash provides. If you took my advice and did your research on an item before bidding, but don’t see it coming up in the next day or so, then be sure to hit the “Alert Me” button. The “Alert Me” button should be right in front of you when you open up an auction’s page- it’s blue and in a black box that says “Coming soon.”

  • Only bid on items that you really want or need. Are you really going to buy that $14,000 massage chair if you don’t win? Probably not! However, if you bid on things that you actually need or were planning on buying anyway such as kitchen items, kid’s items, or maybe a new computer then you can feel safe and secure in “going all in” and bidding up to the BIN (Buy It Now) price. If you have bid up to the BIN price and haven’t won you can hit the “Buy It Now” button, and when you purchase the item you will receive all of your bids back as well as get free shipping on the item.

  • Make a DealDash budget for yourself. Speaking of “Buying It Now,” be sure that you have set up a budget for that particular item, or DealDash in general. Write down how much money per week, month, or paycheck that you can comfortably spend bidding on items at DealDash without hurting your wallet. When you stay within the budget that you have set for yourself, you will be much more confident and be able to BIN without fear of breaking your budget.

  • Keep an eye on your competition. Do you see the same few screen names over and over in the auctions that you enter? Try to keep track of their screen names, when they enter the auction, and when they leave the auction. That way you will be better prepared for future auctions when you see them again.

DealDash Tips for Buying Bids

screenshot-7If you’ve been waiting around for a great sale on bids on DealDash, then you’ll want to read on, because I have some information that you’re going to want to read.

Here it is, the middle of December, and you are ready to finally bite the bullet and jump in a DealDash auction for that new TV, laptop, or tablet that you think would make a perfect gift for your friend or family member. But wait! You only have a few hundred bids in your account; that’s just not going to cut it for a high-end electronic device that 50 other bidders are interested in winning. If you’re ready to “go all the way” and bid up to the BIN (Buy It Now) limit, then you’re going to need to buy some bids.

How many bids will you need to buy? Well, it’s up to you, of course, but a great thing to do when deciding how many bids to purchase is to do a little research on your product of choice. Click on the DealDash auction that you are interested in, and look to the left of the screen. Under the picture of the item will be a box that includes information about the previous auctions for the same item. The box will include the date of the previous auction, the amount that the item sold for, and the winning bidder. With this information in hand, you can get a rough estimate of how many bids you might need to spend to become the winning bidder or to BIN the item.

For example, if you are planning on entering a DealDash auction for a tablet, and you open up the auction’s page and see that it usually goes for around $25 at auction, and has a $300 BIN price, then you will need to do a few calculations. How many bids you will need to reach the BIN price depends on the price of bids that day. Say the bids are currently selling for .14 – You just need to take $300, divide it by .14, and you have your answer – 2142 bids! However, you will want to monitor this auction as it gets closer to the ending if this is a regular auction, because if you end up winning, then you will still have to pay the final auction price.

If you aren’t going to be able to watch the end of the auction, you might want to consider that if the average tablet auction is ending at $25, then you might only want to put in $275 worth of bids, which would be 1964 bids. If this is during a special promotion such as a “Free Auction Weekend,” then this doesn’t apply, of course.

I hope that you found this DealDash Tips article helpful. Remember, buy your bids in advance, so you get the best possible price instead of waiting until the last minute and having to pay whatever the bid price happens to be that particular day. Go check out the auctions on DealDash. Good luck and happy bidding, everyone!

Stay Organized when Bidding at DealDash

It’s so easy to get started at DealDash bidding that you might get a little carried away by all the fun and lose track of some important information.  It’s a good idea to keep a DealDash Journal.  I had one in the beginning, I used it for at least six months.  The information would help me make educated decisions when bidding in my auctions at DealDash.

At first, I didn’t even use Bid Buddy, that is not only disorganized, it’s a hot mess!  Using Bid Buddy will ensure you don’t overbid, something that is very important, especially if you are bidding on a budget.  Use Bid Buddy to help you stay organized.

Keep a list of the players who “won’t quit for anyone”  It helps to know who beat you by overbidding or power bidding.  After time, this information will become something you know, but at first there is so much to remember, you will do yourself a favor to keep track of some players with notes.  I like to remind myself which auction they beat me in or which was close.  Then you can make better decisions when bidding against them again.

Keep track of your wins, I like to keep a real time list going on my desk, this helps me stay organized when bidding, and I can glance over to see what I’ve won and if I exchanged it for bids, how many bids did I get for it.  This is an advantage to bidding at DealDash, if you win an item and then decided you don’t want it, they will let you exchange it for a number of bids, determined by the items popularity.  The more popular, the higher the number of bids.

Don’t forget to write down every time you make a purchase, it will give you a visual, and keep you on budget.  You can be bidding and not pay attention to how much you are spending.  So, keep a list of your expenses.

It’s fun to bid, but to win more, keep track of these few details, it will help you in the long run.  Also, after some time, you will remember most of this without notes, it’s just in the beginning.  Staying organized helps you win, and it makes you feel good too!

Good Luck and Happy Bidding!!!
