Play Fair, It Helps You Win at DealDash

There are plenty of bidding styles at DealDash, but the game players despise the most is when someone  doesn’t play fair.  It takes some time to get to know who does it, and new players join everyday, but you can figure out which players to simply stay away from.  They win a lot, but they spend a lot too.

You don’t wan to get into a boxing match with someone, by that I mean a stomper festival.  You stomp, the other guy stomps, and then you stomp again, he stomps again, and no one else is getting in any bids through Bid Buddy because of the stomper fest going on.  You and that other guy suddenly have over 50 bids used, and every one who wasn’t stomping only has 5 used.  It’s a waste of bids and just not fair.  The biggest travesty with Stomping is you are losing the opportunity to earn free bids for your Time As High Bidder.  Plus, you most likely won’t win, the player using the Bid Buddy will come out victorious.  So, this one is simple, if you don’t stomp, the other players probably won’t either.

Your Time As High Bidder (TAHB) is a huge gift from DealDash and it basically rewards good behavior with free bids, for example, if you use the Bid Buddy, you bid when it’s your turn, and if everyone else does it too, everyone gets 10 seconds toward the next level.  When you reach your next level you will receive the free bids, if you stomp, you don’t get the time and therefore, no free bids.  You also stomp other peoples free bids and that really hurts other players.  So, if you are known as a Stomper, you are winning less bids and losing more auctions,  If you let everyone have their free bids, they might let you win this time.

I let people who play fair win all the time, you have to.  It comes back to you.  You have to get to know the players to know who might back down eventually.  Then there is “backing down”,  if you do this for players, they will do it for you.  I’ve been able to win more auctions by letting others win.  You can’t do this with all players, but there are a good number of givers.

Some of the best players are the Seasoned Pros, they have been playing a long time, they have accumulated hundreds of prizes and thousands of free bids, they’ve been around, and they come in two forms, one is a never give up, a start from the beginning strategy that uses a lot of bids.  Others have the Jumper gene.  The Jumper will come in very late and use few bids to try to win.  This activity is not rewarded.  If you are a jumper, it’s plain and simple you will be jumped, and that won’t help you win any auctions.  If you don’t want to be jumped, don’t jump.  That’s fair!

These are a few suggestions to help you win more auctions, good behavior at DealDash is often rewarded, if you play the game too hard, you may not win as many auctions.  So, play fair, win more!

Good Luck and Happy Bidding!!!

DealDash Has the Best Gifts

comforter-120When you are making a list of gifts you’ll need for the holidays, always check DealDash first!  They have the best selection of gift items and you can fulfill your list in reverse!  Go to DealDash, find some items you would like to win and win it.  Then look at your list and assign it to someone!  It’s great, I don’t stress at all over what gift to give anyone, the right gift will show up.

One of the best and easy-to-win gift items at DealDash is my all time favorite the White Comforter and Sheet Sets, everyone needs blankets and sheets and they are relatively easy to win at the DealDash site, and they always have a nice selection of sizes and with the sheets, a nice variety of colors too.

timex-ladies-60Another “kind of” easy to win item are the huge selection of watches, you have to keep your eye open for your favorites, some watches are very popular items and are only out there occasionally, and there are other watches that are on the site all the time.  This is where the Entertainment Shopping comes into play.  You search the site for your desired item, bid on a few things along the way, and then when you find your item, if it’s not on the market yet, you can bookmark it.  DealDash will then send you a notification when the auction is about to start.  If it’KitchenAids scheduled and you bookmark it, it will be posted at the top of your DealDash Main Page.

There are some great housewares that make wonderful gifts, like stand mixers and blenders.  I love the small appliance category, DealDash rotates the items in the category, you might see a blue stand mixer today and a red one tomorrow.  Small appliances are generally very popular, but I’ve often seen fewer players as other times, so you could win them easier when the odds are better.

There is a handsome selection of Handmade Clocks with familiar shapes men love, like cars, planes and trains.  The clocks are popular, but I see them go for pennies all the time.  You could get real lucky, it helps to know the pool of players, but there are new players to DealDash everyday, so you will never totally know the field of players.  That’s part of the fun though, it keeps you on your toes.  Some players are very predictable too, that also helps, I’ve seen a lot in my two plus years, and predictable players are fun to volley with.

These are only a few of the thousands of items they carry at DealDash that would make wonderful gifts.  Keep shopping and bid on, DealDash has the gifts you need.

DealDash: Half a Dozen Prizes in Six Hours

It’s true!  It’s so easy to win at DealDash and with the No Limit on Wins, you can win as much as you want. Plus, DealDash features different sales throughout the week and this past week during a All Wins Free event, I won six prizes for only one penny each.   The way the free event works is you bid along with all the other players and the price of the item goes up one penny at a time until the last bid is placed, but no matter what the closing price, you pay only a one penny transaction fee, DealDash picks up the rest!

Bidding during the Free events can be a little tricky.  First, the site is definitely busier when all wins are free.  Everyone wants to win for one cent, let’s face it, it’s fun!  What I try to do is stay focused on the smaller items that are generally easier to win on any given day.  These are items similar to small jewelry, simple camping gear, like a lantern, small lamps, fashion items like a purse or some perfume.  These all make great gifts and I have won everything on that list with just a few bids.

During a free event you may encounter a lot of people who will come back into an auction after many players have 100’s of bids in….that is if they get a chance.  The risk involved with doing that is the auction may end while you are off bidding in another auction.  The following list of wins each cost me only one penny and a few bids, if I had dropped one bid and left, I wouldn’t have won them.  Basically, my strategy is to simply back out completely if I don’t win the item with the minimum number of bids, which I like to predetermine.  I make an estimate of how few bids I can win an item with and I try to stick to it. At times you may need to add more, especially if the auction is down to you and one other player, that’s when you hang on.

For a total of 318 bids I won these great prizes.

Small Table Clock $350- 49 bids

18K GP Crystal Ring $150- 6 bids

Hand Glazed Vase $225- 90 bids

Wool Ball Cap $85- 64 bids

Wool Beanie Hat $45- 5 bids

King Size Comforter $120- 104 bids

Nearly $1000 dollars worth of prizes won in less than six hours all during a free event and I paid about $45 for everything.  I do it by staying involved with an auction, sticking to one item at a time, and keeping to my limit on bids.  Most items on DealDash come up for sale several times during a day, so for that reason, always know, there is another on right around the corner.

Good Luck and Happy Bidding!!!

Jumpers and Stompers at DealDash

So, you’ve been bidding at DealDash for awhile and you’ve noticed two different bidding styles that may annoy you somewhat, Jumping and Stomping.  What I can tell you is, even though it may not be nice, it’s not illegal. There are a dozen or so players at DealDash who jump and more that stomp, but they can be beat!

First let’s define these acts, Jumping is pretty common, especially on the higher retail items.  As you may have noticed DealDash has a “No Jumper” limit of $5, this means that no new players can join the auction after the $5 mark.  A jumper will place one to a dozen bids very early in the auction and then disappear for the next 1000 bids or so.  Now the auction is at $10.00 and they come back and try to out bid you because you’ve used 300 bids or more and now they feel you’ve exhausted your quota for the item, so they’ve come in to steal the item.  This back fires so often it’s hilarious when a “jumper” gets his just rewards (losing) for jumping.

The first thing that goes wrong for the jumper is the auction ends under $5, this happens more than not, but the average jumper will continue to take that chance.  I’ve jumped the jumper, that’s how I handle it. By jumping the jumper, I too, run the risk of losing because I dropped out.  This activity is common among the seasoned pro or when price doesn’t matter and sometimes both.  Some players just have buckets of money, you have to outsmart them, and believe me, they make mistakes, I’ve beaten them all and you will too. The other problem for the jumper is they actually don’t have very many bids so they wait and wait and hope no one wins.  Then they come back and use only 50-100 bids, not the 1000 like others do. They can be beat as well.

The Stomper is another breed of player, usually a new player who doesn’t understand the value of the Bid Buddy.  Your Bid Buddy is the best way to win an auction, it’s an automatic bidding system provided by DealDash.  When you stomp, you generally don’t plan when the bids are being placed, many will bid after every single other bid, this uses bids up exponentially and doesn’t win more auctions.  Often, the problems the stomper will encounter is other players who will stomp them back.  I don’t like to waste bids doing it, but others will just to “teach them a lesson”.  Hey, it is a competition, and as I said, it’s not illegal. It’s just not nice.

The Stomper is easily beat, they usually run out of bids very early in an auction, they use them up so quickly that when their bids are gone….they are gone.  Stomping is not a sustainable system of bidding and most people will finally give in to use the Bid Buddy.  There are however, several players who have been around for a long time who stomp.  Their strategy is to frighten players away from the auction, because if they stomp, you may lose the free bids DealDash gives you for your Time As High Bidder (TAHB). Your  TAHB is time rewarded in the form of free buds by DealDash for bidding.  For every second you are the highest bidder of the auction, you earn free bids, these bids are given when you reach your next level.

So, now you know about Jumpers and Stompers, not illegal, but not nice. In turn, I hope I’ve encouraged you to use your Bid Buddy, it’s really the best way to win auctions and earn free bids.

Good Luck and Happy Bidding!!!
