Check Back Often

Perhaps one of the most important things DealDash.com customers can do to win more frequently is to check back often.

The DealDash shopping site changes and the only way to keep track of the latest auctions and the newest customers is to return to the site on a regular basis.

My previous list of power bidders to avoid needs to be updated on a regular basis because the customer base changes, too, and it’s a good idea to be familiar with who’s who. New customers come and old customers go.

If we look at the last seven winners of the auctions we want to win, we will see that some shoppers win a much better bargain than others. Why is that? Answer: Sometimes more than one power bidder competes in the same auctions and they knock heads.

I’ve been a loyal customer of DealDash since Feb. 8, 2012, and I’ve noticed that whenever two or more power bidders compete in the same auction, that auction will not close for a very long time and the final selling price will go a lot higher. Therefore, smart customers will return to the site often enough to recognize the screen names of the following kind of shoppers:

  • Those who consistently have a seemingly endless supply of bids
  • Those who have a habit of overbidding the value of the auction product
  • Those who have the habit of joining the auctions with a bunch of bids near the very end.

Any senior on a limited budget, like I am, must make wise decisions to get the most out of all of our bids. Some shoppers might actually enjoy getting into a bidding war, but some of us simply cannot afford it. Therefore, I return to DealDash often enough to keep my keep my list of power bidders updated.

Bidding on Bid Packs

While shopping on DealDash.com I noticed that several customers recently won some outstanding deals on bid packs.

I seldom bid on large bid packs because I assume too many other shoppers will go for it and the competition would be too stiff. However, I now see that is not always the case.

Check out some amazing bargains some shoppers got on bid packs just today (at the time of this writing):

  • 100 bid pack sold Nov. 11 for only 5 cents. The winner used only 2 bids and paid a total of 45 cents.
  • 400 bid pack sold Nov. 11 for only 7 cents. The winner used only 1 bid and paid a total of 27 cents.
  • 3,500 bid pack sold Nov. 11 for 48 cents. The winner used only 24 bids and paid a total of $5.28.

It only took a total of 27 bids to win all three of those bid packs. I wish I had bid in those auctions to get some of those deals, but the only way we can ever win such amazing deals is to try.

Bidding Options

Sometimes it’s just a matter of choosing the best shopping strategy to win such great bargains. For example, let’s say we have a total of 500 bids:

  • We could place 10 bids each in the next 50 bid pack auctions
  • We could place 25 bids each in the next 50 bid pack auctions
  • We could place 100 bids each in the next 5 bid pack auctions
  • We could place all 500 bids in only one bid pack auction

It is up to us to choose the bid pack we want to bid on. What we don’t know is when a bid pack auction will close early. The examples above, however, prove that some customers do, and still are, winning great deals on DealDash.

Start Small, Win Big!

Perhaps the best advice I could give to new customers on DealDash.com would be to start small to win big. Let me explain:

Looking at all of the items up for auction on the DealDash home page can be overwhelming. Our eyes might quickly go to some of the high-dollar products. The most experienced shoppers, however, might have an edge over you in these auctions. That’s why I suggest it is best for newcomers to start out by shopping for the easiest-to-win auctions.

We can quickly identify those auctions by:

  • Looking at the auctions with a buy it now price of $200 or less
  • Look at the “Winner’s List” to see what auctions have been selling for the fewest number of bids and the lowest sales price.

We will most likely find that jewelry, perfume and sheet sets will be a good place to start. However, this can change from week-to-week, so it’s a good idea to frequently check back and look for new trends. We might see different items sell at great prices during various times of the year. For example, water fountains might sell for less during winter months than they do during summer months. Shopping for off-season items often results in great bargains.

More New Cars Available

That’s right. At the time of writing this post, DealDash.com has nine new cars up for auction.

DealDash is the only online site that I know of where we can bid on and possibly win a brand new car. How exciting is that?

Three Winners Already

So far, three DealDash customers have already won a brand new vehicle at a bargain prices. The first three winners were:

  1. First winner – Oct. 2 the 2018 Ford Focus SE. A total of 3,107 bids were used and the final sale price was $194.87. Counting the cost of bids, it cost this winner only $816.27 for this $20,000 vehicle.
  2. Second winner – Oct. 9 the 2018 Chevrolete Cruze Sedan was won during a 50 percent off promotion. Winner used 8,407 bids and paid half of the sale price of $10,183.46. Counting the cost of bids, it cost this winner only $6,773.13 for this vehicle with a buy-it-now price of $19,000.
  3. Third winner – Nov. 2 the 2019 Nissan Sentra, which also started during a 50 percent off promotion. Winner used 10,558 bids and paid half the sale price of $841.15. Counting the cost of bids, it cost this winner only $2,532.17 for this $23,500 vehicle.

Vehicles Still Open to New Bidders

At time of writing (November 6th), the five vehicles that are still open to new bidders are:

  • 2019 Kia Soul, with a list price of $25,000
  • 2019 Corolla LE CVT, with a list price of $23,500
  • 2019 Hyundai Veloster 2.0, with a list price of $23,500
  • 2019 Toyota C-HR LE, with a list price of $25,000
  • 2019 Chevrolet Cruze Sedan LT, with a list price of $26,500.
