Yard Decorations

Did you see some of the yard decorations that DealDash.com has to help decorate and beautify our yards this spring?

For the first time in 41 years I recently hired a professional yard maintenance crew to come and clean up my entire yard, and now it looks better than it has in many years. I can still mow my big lawn with a motorized push mower, but at age 76 there’s a lot I just don’t feel like doing, anymore, especially when it comes to climbing ladders. It was expensive but well worth it because it gave me more time to shop on DealDash, which is a lot more fun. LOL!

When shopping on DealDash, I decided to look for some outdoor decorations that might put some finishing touches on my recent effort to have a better looking yard. Let’s look at some of the items I found.

Pink Flamingo

Have you ever wanted to have a pink flamingo in your yard but you don’t live in Florida? Well, thanks to DealDash now we can. All we have to do is shop for one.

For some reason, I have always had a love for pink flamingos. I’m just fascinated with them and think they are so beautiful. Therefore, I am happy to see the pink flamingo often comes up for auction on DealDash. This one has a BIN of $2,060.00. That might sound expensive but when we consider the artistic skill given to each detail and time it takes to hand-make them, it is definitely a very valuable product. Best of all many DealDash shoppers have already won this flamingo at unbelievable bargain prices. For example:

  • March 5, this flamingo sold at only 9 cents and the winner paid a total of 84 cents including the cost of the 4 bids placed;
  • March 7, this flamingo sold at only 8 cents and the winner paid a total of 42 cents including the cost of the 2 bids placed and
  • March 10, this flamingo sold at $2.23 and the winner paid a total of $5.23 including the 15 bids placed.

The vivid pink color would make an eye-catching decoration whether it were displayed indoors or outdoors. The solid iron construction ensures many years of use. The body of the flamingo consists of rolled metal pieces with lace-like cut outs, which makes it a masterpiece that anyone could proudly display.

The finished flamingo measures 23-inches by 8-inches by 5-inches, which is smaller than some previous flamingos that some DealDash shoppers won, but it still receives rave reviews.

For more details please read the auction description.

DealDash also has a similar, but bigger, hand-made tall standing Crane with a BIN of $2,430.00. It measures 35-inches by 14 inches by 7 inches.

The bottom line

Whether we are looking for a pink flamingo, Crane or water fountain, DealDash is a very good place to shop for any of these items. Who knows? We could be the next customer to win an outstanding bargain of a lifetime. Happy spring shopping everyone!

Inventory Liquidation Week

Did you know that DealDash.com is now having an inventory Liquidation Week to make room for some new products?

All of products designated for inventory clearance are marked with a round blue circle with box in the middle. We might want to check out all of the items that will soon be eliminated in case we want to shop for them before they are no longer available.

Let’s take a look at some of the products on DealDash that are part of the inventory clearance.

Two Special Lids with Cast Iron Skillet

Two special lids come with this cast iron skillet and the complete set has a BIN of $294.00.

This is one auction we might not want to miss, especially since previous winners love this set so much they gave it an overall rating of 5.0 out of a possible 5.0 and ratings never get any better than that.

One of the things former winners like most are the special lids is that they come with a filter in the top that takes the mess out of frying. The cover fits over 9.5-inch to 11-inch pans and (according to the DealDash description) “traps condensation, routing it down the glass dome to collect in the silicone drip-free rim. This keeps water from mixing with the frying oil, reducing spatter and keeps the oil clean longer.”

This sounds very good to me because I often have liquids over-flow onto my stove top. This set, however, keeps the trapped condensation from escaping onto our counter. Instead, the steam escapes through the activated charcoal filter, “which traps odors and releases clean steam.” Once the drip tray and filter holder are removed, it is dishwasher safe. Replacement filters are available, too.

For more detailed information, see the auction description.

Summer Shirt Dress

This summer shirt dress with a BIN of $240.00 is another popular item that has been designated as part of the inventory clearance. It has an overall rating of 4.96 out of 5.0.

This shirt dress is perfect to wear to a pool party or beach club and it is apparently a smashing hit when received as a gift. One former winner stated, “My girlfriend loves it” and another former winner wrote, “Wife loves it.” Still another former winner commented that it is so well packaged and comes in such a cute box that it makes an excellent gift.

A few of the former winners also received an awesome bargain:

  • March 29, this shirt dress sold at 55 cents and the winner paid a total of $5.75 including the cost of the 26 bids placed; and
  • March 27, this shirt dress sold at $1.15 and the winner paid a total of $8.29 including the cost of the 40 bids placed.

Since the “no jumper limit” was lowered from the usual $5.00 to only $1.50 it will most likely sell at another bargain price and make another girlfriend or wife very happy.

Handmade Canvas and Leather Messenger Bag

Did you see the handmade canvas and leather bag with a BIN of $300.00? This is another popular auction product that is now designated as one of the inventory clearance items.

This messenger bag with an “antique touch” measures 15.7-inches by 11.4-inches, so it is compact but well-made and durable. It could be ideal for daily commutes and comes with a detachable shoulder strap.

For more information about this product, please see the auction description.

The bottom line

If we want to win any of the inventory clearance items, we better shop now before they are all gone.

To Bid or Not to Bid

To bid or not to bid — that is the question!

It might be fairly easy to decide what we want to shop for and how much we can afford to spend, but that’s only a small part of the many other things we should consider when shopping on DealDash.com.  In fact, that is just part of the challenge and fun of shopping here.

I thought it would be a good idea to address some of the many things we might do to achieve more shopping success.

To bid or not to bid…this is an important question on DealDash!

Auction history

We can learn a lot from looking at the past history of an auction.

It’s a good idea to look at the lowest cost and the highest cost an auction sold at in the past, as well as the fewest bids and the most bids previous players used to win. That should give us a pretty good idea at what point we should seriously join the auction with the bulk of our bids and how many bids it might take to win.

It’s also a good idea to check the screen names of the previous winners to see if some of the strongest competitors have already been eliminated from joining the auction.

Experience

We not only need to be concerned about our own level of experience, but we should also look at the experience level of our other competitors. We can get a good idea of the experience level of our competitors a couple different ways:

  1. When our competitor’s screen name comes up we can look at the date they first started shopping on DealDash; and
  2. We can check the winner’s list to see if our competitors have recently won many other auctions.

That will give us a good idea how strong our competition might be.

If our strongest competitors joined DealDash several years before we did, we might not want to compete with them. If we see that our competitors are “Newbies” who just recently started shopping on DealDash we might feel like we have more experience.

Duplicate auctions

Sometimes we get some extra strong competitors. Whenever we see that an auction might have one or more extra strong competitors, it might be a good idea to see if DealDash has any duplicate auctions just like it that will soon come up. We could have a better opportunity to win the same product if we switch over to a different auction that might have fewer participants and less competition.

New Shopping Incentives and Products

Wow! DealDash.com has been coming up with several new shopping incentives and products.

Did you see the latest new incentive?  This is another way to earn a bunch of free bids!

Fireworks are always on display on DealDash!

Spoils Auctions

Did you see the new icon attached to some products called the “Spoils Auctions?”

A “Spoils Auction” is marked with a green circle icon with a white design inside. It offers a specific number of free bids to the winner of that auction.  It appears that the number of free bids offered is based on the BIN value of each auction.

At the time of this writing, some examples are:

  • A camera and bag auction with a BIN of $550.00 is designated as a “Spoils Auction” and it offers 550 free bids to the winner of this auction.
  • A couple of auctions of paintings each with a BIN of $1,750.00 are designated as a “Spoils Auctions” and both offer 1,750 free bids to the winner.
  • A pair of cow leather boots with a BIN of $690.00 that is also designated as a “Spoils Auction” offers the winner of the auction 690 free bids.

Therefore, it appears the number of free bids offered to the winner of these auctions is always based on the BIN.

I came close to winning one of these auctions but I got distracted and came in first-runner up instead. Sometimes that can happen to the best of us.

New Auctions

It’s a good idea to frequently check out the new items listed on DealDash.com. You can easily find them by going to the Home Page. On the bottom left of the main header you will see “Browse Categories.” Click on that and then click on the first item on the list that pops up that says “New Items.”

Here are some of the new “New Items” that caught my attention:

  • A couple new auctions offer different sizes (14-inch and 16-inch) round baking stones that can be used in an oven or on a grill. I’ve never used a baking stone but I have heard they are especially good for baking pizzas, so pizza-lovers might want to check them out.
  • A couple new auctions offer sets of 60 pairs of low-cut socks – one for girl’s socks and one for boy’s socks. When my sons were young it was difficult to ever have enough socks, so winning 60 pair sounds awesome to me.
  • A couple new auctions offer a set of three granite pans in green or gray. These pan sets would definitely add elegance to any kitchen.

The bottom line

Many exciting new developments are happening on DealDash.com. Never stay away too long or you might miss out on some exciting new shopping deals.
