Bad Shopping Habits

I wrote an article once about some of the most important life lessons I’ve learned in my 74 years. One of them was that we should try hard not to develop bad habits because once we develop some bad habits they are so very difficult to break.

That lesson could apply to bad shopping habits on DealDash.com too. Ask yourself. Are you developing any bad shopping habits?  Perhaps you are wondering what I mean by that.  Let’s take a close look at some of the worst shopping habits anyone can have:

Overbidding

When shoppers develop the bad habit of overbidding, they not only hurt themselves but they also hurt other shoppers who come to this shopping site to win some great bargains. When customers overbid they help DealDash make money but even that is a catch 22. If too many shoppers consistently overbid and prevented anyone from ever winning good deals, eventually DealDash would lose customers too. Therefore, too much overbidding is not really good for anyone.

Shopping When Busy

Shopping when busy might be my worst shopping habit. I tend to multi-task and that usually does not work out very well. It’s not a good idea to do the dishes, wash the clothes and cook a meal while shopping on DealDash at the same time.

It’s best to set aside a specific time to shop on DealDash when we do not have any other distractions.

Shopping When Tired

Shopping on DealDash when we are tired is another bad shopping habit. I don’t know about you but if I am the least bit tired I can easily fall fast asleep while sitting at my computer.

I have lost many auctions because of it. Therefore, it’s a good idea to get well rested before shopping on DealDash.

Not Using DealDash Tools

Not knowing how or when to used DealDash tools is another bad shopping habit.

Perhaps knowing how to use the “Winners’ List” to improve our own chances of winning might be the most important one.

Knowing how to use the DealDash tools that are available saves time and money.

Winning Products We Never Use

To bid on and win products that we don’t really need and never use is another bad shopping habit. Have you won products on DealDash one, two, three or four years ago that are still in the original box because you have never used them? I’m ashamed to say I do.

Before bidding in any auction we should really be sure that we will use the products we are shopping for. Otherwise, we will just end up with a house full of clutter.

If we see items we really want and will use then let’s bid, bid and bid to win. However, it makes no sense to bid on something we will never use.

Perhaps we all need to overcome some of our bad shopping habits.
