Beat the Heat Fun at DealDash

Ouch! It’s been a scorcher this summer.  DealDash offers relief for the heat by being an indoor sport!  Haha. First and foremost, you can sit in the air conditioning and play DealDash while you try to win all your Summertime Fun items like a swimming pool, some floaties, or maybe some yard art or a bird house.

POOL-FLOATDealDash has a nice variety of outdoor items for your yard that you will enjoy all Summer long.  Everywhere I look in my yard has a wonderful something that I won or Binned at DealDash.  “Binning” is buying the item if you don’t win it, and DealDash will give you all your bids back.  It’s a fair and kind thing that DealDash does to say, “Sorry you didn’t win, here’s your bids back, go for another item”!  You never have to leave empty-handed when Binning at DealDash, you get your item and your bids back.

led birdbathThere are quite a few items that are my personal favorites in this category called “Hobbies, Toys, Outdoors and Games” also “Home Garden and Tools”.  There you will find a great selection of items for your home and for gifts, I have won some items multiple times and I love to give away my extra wins.  I just keep everything in my “present closet” and when I need something, there is always a DealDash treat in there.

pool dolphin dealsThis Swim and Play 15 ft. Above Ground Pool retails for $519, but the average selling price at DealDash is only $69!  I’ve seen the pool go for less than $20 a couple of times.  Once you win your pool you’ll want to fill it with the fun accessories.  DealDash carries, lighting, flotation devices, games and more.

dd bocceI have won some great games for the yard for just a few pennies and I see them go low all the time.  Ive seen this Bocce Ball Set go as low as .19 cents and I paid less than a dollar for mine.  I’ve actually won it a couple of times.  I like the low priced items for a quick auction.  Really, if you don’t win an item valued under $50 with a few bids, just plan on Binning it.  This way you know you will have the Bocce Set and your bids back!

croquetThey also have a really well made Croquet Set which I also have.  That was a BIN.  You just can’t win them all, but you never have to go away with nothing at DealDash. They have many way for us to win in place and they really want us to win.

Whatever you Summer outdoor pleasure, you are sure to find something at DealDash that will fit.  If you can dream it, just type it in the search bar at DealDash, they probably have it.  It’s so much more than just shopping, so hop on in a win yourself some great Summertime fun & games.

DealDash: New Rules, New Strategy

DealDash has listened to the players and has introduced a new Winning Limit.  In the past you were able to win 9 prizes a week, nine wins and you were done until the next week.  This was a fair way to keep the playing field fair for everyone.  Lately, there has been some players who wish to have the winning limits lifted and DealDash listened.

Now you may win as many items as you can, but you may only win each item once in a week. So when you win an item, a little “trophy” will appear in the upper right hand corner of the  auction on the main page, this will indicate that you won it, and you will not be able to bid on it.  That’s ok, there are hundreds of other items to bid on. This system will make it easier for players to win, especially the big ticket items.

In the past “Power Bidders” dominated the upper value items, now once they win it, they too, must move on.  So, the new strategy for us “Regular Bidders” is to keep a close eye on the “Winners List”.  I’m going to keep a list of the winners.  I like lists.  You can go back about 24 hours on the Winner’s List provided by DealDash and this will be a good way to stay on top of who’s winning, but if you want to keep track of a longer list for a specific item, use the Winner’s List to compile your research.

Next, use the list of winners in the auction itself.  If you click on any auction and open it there is a list of who won it, what they paid and the date they won it.  It is a convenient and quick way to see who is out of the pool of players, the longer the list of “Power Bidders” on the list the better your chances of winning.

Who are the “Power Bidders?” Well, that is something that takes time on the site to figure out.  I can’t name names here, but it doesn’t take long to figure out who they are.  Tip: Go to the highest value items for sale on the site, most of the players in those auctions consider themselves power bidders.  Now, watch these auctions for a couple of day, (yes, some auctions take days to win) and keep track of the people who come and go, and come and go from these auction.  The ones who are most persistent are going to spend the BIN amount of bids to win.

What is BIN? Binning or “Buy It Now” is a policy DealDash offers to players who try to win an item, but are unsuccessful.  You may then purchase the item any time during the auction or for up to week after and DealDash will return the bids used to your account.  Once you purchase an item you will not be able to bid on it.  To “BIN” an item is to spend the value of the item in bids. For example, if the item is valued at $300.00, the BIN number of bids are as follows; price of the item, divided by the cost of bids (aprox. .15) equals bids to BIN. $300./.15 cents =2000 bids.

These are a few tips which can give you some insight into the new game at DealDash. It’s been a wild month here with the new rule, but as I master it, I will continue to write all my tips and secrets here.  If you play better, we all win more.

Know the DealDash Language

DealDash has a language all it’s own, and knowing what the difference between a jumper and a stomper is helpful, especially in understanding your fellow player. Here is a list of the basic lingo of DealDash.

Auctions- An auction is why you come to DealDash, there is a pay to shop/play system where you buy bids and play the auction to win great everyday items for very low prices. The home page at DealDash displays all the auctions available for bidding or purchase.

Auctions, Individual- Each auction has its own page where the stats of the auction are available. For example: how many players, who they are, and their comment.

Banner-The banner at the top of the home page is where you will find the current cost of bids and the details of the latest sale.  Often, 50% Off Final PriceFree Auction Wins, and  a Free Bid Multiplier. Check the banner daily, it changes very early in the morning.

Bidding- The act of placing bids in a auction for real, everyday items, like computers, housewares, clothing, jewelry and art.

Bids- Bids are the currency of the site, you need them to bid and win your prizes.  They range in price between .12 to .16 cents and you can see the cost on the banner.  Purchase bids to join auctions.

Bid Count Meter-This displays your available bids.  When you have bids on your Bid Buddy, the bids are subtracted from this total.  There are two bid count meters one on the top, right hand side of the page and one on the bottom left.

Buy Bid Tabs-There are three, one is on the top of the auctions page right next to your bid count meter, one is at the bottom on the left of the auctions page, it looks like a little credit card, and there is one in your dashboard list of tabs.

Buy It Now (BIN)- Also referred to as “Binning”. At any time during an auction you can opt out and purchase the item at the regular retail price.  When you do, the DealDash promise is to give you all the bids back that you used trying to win it. When you make your purchase from the “Buy It Now” tab, the used bids will be immediately deposited into your Bid Count Meter.

Bid Buddy- The most reliable tool at Deal Dash, it is the best way to set up a pre -determined amount of bids to be placed for you in the order you joined the auction.  If there are 7 players using Bid Buddy, it will place a bid for you every 7th turn, the only thing between you and the other players is the number of bids you place.  The one who places the last bid is the winner.

Dashboard-Your dashboard is essential to keeping track of all your plays, wins and purchases.  There is a comprehensive list of the items you are bidding on currently and how many bids you have placed.  This is where you find all your information, public profile, bids placed, account information. You will find your dashboard on the top and bottom of the page.

Deal Dasher- One who plays, shops and saves at Deal Dash.

Final Price- When an auction ends the number of bids placed by all players determines the final price.  If 4945 total bids are placed the final price is $49.45.

Free Bid Meter-“Time as highest bidder” is determined by the number of bids you place times about 9 seconds for each bid.  The meter ticks up your time and when you’ve reached the appropriate number of bids for your current level you are rewarded with free bids.  Each level increases the number of bids you claim, for example if you are at level 79 you will claim 1000 bids and it goes up with each level of play you achieve.

Jumping-A player who places a bid before the $5 cut off and then leaves the auction only to return later and jump in. Get to know who does this and wait until they jump in.  Jumper- One who jumps

Public Profile- You may have a comment displayed under your Avatar, which you can edit it from your Public Profile tab located on the left hand side of your Dashboard. All comments are approved by Deal Dash staff and have guidelines that include, among other things, not being threatening or misleading with your statement.  It’s meant to give some personality to your Avatar.  Auctions can be won and lost with these comments, pay close attention. Lately, there has been a trend to talk to each other through the comment by creating a continuous story.  Feel free to join in!

Stomping-Stomping  plain and simple is the worst offense of a Deal Dasher. It is a reckless and thoughtless storm of bids being throw into an auction.  This rapid-fire bidding is an attempt to scare everyone away and as a result win the auction. Stomper- One who stomps Stompers become obsolete because in the long run, this activity is unsustainable.

User Name-The name everyone sees when you are playing Deal Dash, you’ll want this to be creative and expressive.  Some people use their actual name or a combination of letters and numbers.

Winner’s list-A real-time list of all the wins, a picture of the item with a description, who won it and what they paid for it.  It also displays the winners Avatar. The winners list is a great place to do research.  You can see what final prices are trending to estimate where the next auction may end.

Adjust your Bidding Style at DealDash

If you’ve been bidding for some time at DealDash you have a “style” of bidding, you like to bid that way and it’s worked for you.  But I like to try new things all the time.  I especially love when DealDash gives us new features to help us win. It will spark an idea forcing me to adjust my bidding style.  Recently, after launching their newest feature, Win Limits Lifted, there is a lot to get excited about.

When I first came to DealDash their win limits included 6 prizes under $200, and 3 prizes over $200 per week, then they changed that to 9 prizes of any value and I started winning more high retail items, with this new feature, you can just keep winning and winning.  There is only one exception, you may only win each item once a week.  So if you won the Ladies Timex Watch today, you may not win it again until next week at the same time, but you can win any other watch you wish.

Once someone has won an item you will see they can’t enter the auction, so that frees up the field for you to win.  I used to love the limit list, but I don’t need that anymore and have traded up to the Winner’s List where I can see who’s won and what they paid for their prize.  I started a new list to keep track of my competitors wins, so I’ll let you know soon how those winners are doing compared to me. If you aren’t using the Winner’s List as a tool, that is a great thing to try new.  It’s a lot more than just some fun information, you can really learn from the numbers and players wins.

Along with the new limits there are some good old features that will help you win more auctions.  I love the  Bookmark Feature, it really helps me stay organized when I am bidding in multiple auctions.  If I’m only in one or two it may not be necessary, but it does help to keep you active auction at the top of your page.  You click the little white star in the upper right hand corner of the auction on the main page, it will turn yellow and there it is atop your page.

I used to love the Free Auctions, but I’ve found now I prefer the 50% and full price auctions because less players will overbid, and that will help the auction end sooner.  The Free Auction is really cool because you win an item for one penny, but really it is harder to win really popular or trendy items during these events, so you have to have patience!

It might be time for a new comment on your profile.  This is a great place to express yourself, but better than that as a strategy to make other players change their actions.  I love the comment where the player claims to “stay to the end” and they always leave early because the never stay in an auction more than 20 bids, it’s a strategy and it works for them.  It would be nice to see this person really in it for the long haul and win something more substantial, that would be trying something new and perplex players who pay attention to how long others stay in auctions.

You don’t have to get stuck in a rut when you are bidding at DealDash, they always put out new prizes,  new features and new sales for us to enjoy.  The prices for bids are the best on the web for the value of prizes and level of competition.  DealDash has such an easy-to-use platform and the features work well and you can win a lot of prizes bidding here.  To top that off all items are delivered FREE!

Good Luck and Happy Bidding!!!
