Know Before You Go to DealDash Do This

If you are thinking of  signing up for DealDash there are a few things you should know before you do.  It’s not essential, but it does help your game to have a clever username.  A clever username might suggest something about you that other would like to know.  Like “RetiredBlacksmith” or “FatherofTwo” , these are made up names and probably up for grabs!  You username defines you at DealDash, so make it clever, and make it work for you.

Now open an account, buy your first bid pack.  The first bid pack costs $36 and you get 60 bids, once in the site you can purchase the bids at the current sale price which varies between .12 and .16 cents.  TIP: 60 bids will get you a few $10 gift cards and some other small items, go for them and get your investment back to start.  Once you have your $36 in value back, purchase bids, the higher the value of the item you are trying to win, the more bids you will need to win it.

Next, you need a “comment”  this goes in your personal profile and it’s the caption under your Avatar which you will now also choose.  You may use one of their Avatars or upload a photo of your liking.  Both comments and uploaded photos will need approval from DealDash, they won’t allow anything rude or misleading, and you may not intimidate others.  Choose a comment like “this is fun” to get started and once you start bidding, you will see everyone else’s comment, that should spark some creativity for you, you  can change your comment any time you like, it will just need to be approved and usually takes a day to complete.

Your comment can be part of your strategy, start by thinking of something that will be kind to others and yet give you an edge.  One of my favorite comments is “They say money talks, mine just waves goodbye”  This would imply they are willing to spend any amount of money to win, and it’s funny and clever.  You can’t say anything mean so don’t even try.

There was an occasion where a group of players started a “story line” and everyone involved wrote another line to continue the story, but several players didn’t like it, so talking to other players is not permitted anymore.

That said, DealDash listens to the customer, they are very kind and thoughtful. They want everyone to have good experience.

So, think of a catchy username, create an awesome comment and choose our Avatar, you just bought your first bid bundle and you’re ready to bid.

Good Luck and Happy Bidding!!!

Let’s Get Physical with DealDash

If you’re like me you would rather shop on-line and my favorite place to shop is DealDash, it’s fun and entertaining and when I win, it’s usually at a huge discount.  I often save 99% on items I need.   They have a great selection of everyday items for my family and friends.  But today I am going to review some equipment to help you get into shape.  DealDash has a nice selection of Exercise Bikes and Ellipticals.

rit reality bike 183 The Fitness Reality 2-in-1 Air Elliptical and Exercise Bike has a 14″ stride, it’s fan driven and quiet.  There is dual-action arms and stationary arms.  This unit has heart monitor comfort grips.  It retails for $183. Exercise equipment is a very popular category, but it’s also not the most popular item.  These items have a great BIN price.  The BIN (Buy It Now) option is good when you are bidding in a really popular auction because DealDash will give you bids back if you don’t win it, so go ahead and buy it. At $183 you would figure your BIN price by dividing the cost of the item by the cost of bids which leaves you with the number of bids to BIN.  If you reach the Buy It Now price, it’s time to back out.  So, 183./.15=1220 bids.  This is an item that you really want and need, so the plan is to win it, but only one person will win, hopefully it’s you!

Marcy ex bike 183The Marcy Upright Exercise Bike is compact.  It features continuous magnetic resistance for maximum strength and cardio strength. It retails for $183.  It features stationary arms and a large comfortable seat.

The exercise bikes that get the most bidding action will be the ones with the most features and gadgets attached to it.  This is a basic bike, and I would estimate this unit to go for about 80% off.  That’s based on the popularity factor.  Now, if you are in this auction and you really want it set up your BIN amount of bids and go ahead and win.  Tip: If all auctions are Free Wins this item will go considerably higher because bidders will come late and stay long. Try to get involved in this at off hours, you will reduce the number of bidders looking to get in it.  Search the item at DealDash and then bookmark it by using the “Alert Me” button, DealDash will alert you when the bike is coming on the market.  Timing is a big part of it and if this were to come on the market at 3AM on a Wednesday, set an alarm!  You will have a better chance if everyone is asleep when it starts.

Sunny Health 255The Sunny Health & Fitness Indoor Cycling Bike retails for $255. This is the next level in quality and the bike features step through design and magnetic resistance.  Each one of these Exercise Bikes will come on the market once or twice a month, there are a lot of players who will be waiting for one.

The Exerpeutic 900XL Extended Capacity Recumbent Bike with Pulse is going to be very popular because it appeals to a broader pool of players.  None of these bikes are impossible to win, quite the contrary, you can do this!  Don’t let fear get in your way.  One suggestion I would have is to stay true to only one auction,  this one!  Don’t bid in multiple auctions when you really need something.  Especially if you can’t BIN, some players just use bids and don’t buy it.

Any one of these bikes would help you get into shape, you don’t even have to go out in the heat, just turn on the A/C and get physical!

Good Luck and Happy Bidding!!!

Buy It Now, Binning and BIN at DealDash

DealDash is a fantastic place to bid and win, but not every auction ends with a win, it is a game of chance.  Fortunately, for us, as players we have an out if we don’t win.  Only DealDash offers a chance for us to buy the item (BIN) and get our bids back.

What is BIN? BIN stands for “Buy It Now” and at DealDash when you buy an item you’ve tried to win in an auction you will get your bids back as long as you haven’t won that auction.  Once you BIN an item you can not longer bid on it in that active auction.   This action is also known as “Binning”.  You’ve heard it all in the comments on the site, and if you’re wondering what it is, it’s simple, it’s a gift from DealDash.

I have been involved in many auction where I fought the good fight trying to win an item, but to no avail, alas, I did not win.  So, in the beginning I didn’t buy it, I bought more bids, after all, I wanted to win it! I had to WIN! I didn’t understand BIN.

So, I want to explain to you that if you bid on items that you actually need or want, Binning makes sense.  Let’s say you have an occasion where you need a gift like a bridal shower gift.  You flip through the pages of DealDash and find a nice item you wish to get for your bride and groom. Once you’ve identified this gift, figure out the cost of Binning.

The cost of Binning is calculated by taking the price of the item and dividing it by the current price of bids (aprox. .15 cents).  I’ll use one of my favorite Bridal Shower gift items  from DealDash and that’s a Luxury Linens King Size Down Alternative Comforter, it retails for $120, so let’s do the math.  $120./.15 cents=800 bids.  So, you plan on Binning the item because you need it anyway, you have purchased 800 bids. Now take the 800 bids and place it on the comforter.  Chances are very good that you will win because most players want to win it, and will leave early after 25 bids or so.  Personal Experience: I have won a half dozen or more of these comforters and I never paid more than $10.00 or used more than 200 bids. The comforter is much easier to win than, say, a KitchenAid Stand Mixer, so plan to BIN with the actual BIN number of bids.

Now, you wait.  While you are bidding you are earning free bids every second you are high bidder. So as you go forward with your auction, you get closer and closer to the BIN value and when your 800 bids are gone, you own it! If you didn’t win it, your going to buy more bids anyway, so you might as well buy your item for the $120, and DealDash will give you every single one of those 800 bids back!  Now you have your comforter and the 800 bids to go for another gift for the wedding! This works even if you only use 200 bids, the only rule is bid in an auction, buy the item and get those bids back.  Easy-Peasy!

So instead of buying more bids, you get them all back for free all while you are earning free bids for bidding, and on top of that DealDash delivers every item directly to you for free!  DealDash really does love its customers, they do a lot to make sure we leave with a bounty, and every player does!

The new No Limit on Wins rule has made it easier to win these items as you may only win an item once a week, so if you win it on Monday, you will only be able to win it again after the same time next week.

Don’t waste a single day at DealDash without Binning!  Go right for it on the first day, It’s the best way to get your item and more bids!

Good Luck and Happy Bidding!!!

The Clean Machines at DealDash

You may not think to go to DealDash first for your cleaning machines, but they have such a great variety of cleaning devices, I thought I would highlight a few of my favorites, give some comparisons and talk about retail pricing.  This is a very popular category at DealDash, it seems everyone wants a new vacuum or a pressure washer.

O'Cedar Easy Wring Spin Mop & Bucket $41
O’Cedar Easy Wring Spin Mop & Bucket $41

I am one of those people, I love to shop in this category, between my home and the home of my two adult children, we have a lot of cleaning to do.  My favorite win in the “cleaning machine” category is an unbelievable, awesome mop, believe it or not.  I love this mop!  I will never touch a mop-head again, I’ve had this one for a couple of years now and it’s still like brand new.  If ever I needed to replace it, I would go straight to DealDash and win another one.  I paid about .45 cents for my first one!  I call this a “machine” because it has a spinning feature where you don’t have to touch the mop-head, it spins the water out, you dip in the bucket and then step on the pedal and spin, it’s great because you can use really hot water too!  If you don’t like moping the floor, and who does? You need this mop.

Panasonic Canister Vacuum $219
Panasonic Canister Vacuum $219

Moving on, let’s talk about the elephant in the room, the item I haven’t won.  I haven’t really tried very hard, but I have tried a couple of times to win this Panasonic Canister Vacuum, I’ve had a similar vacuum in the past and after a few upright canister vacuums, I’d like to try this style again.  I like the idea of having a bag to catch the dust.  I also like that you only have to push around the wand and not the entire canister.  For those reasons I highlight the canister vacuum as my favorite vacuum choice at DealDash.

karcher k 2.26M+T50 184
Karcher k 2.26M+T50 $184

For outdoor cleaning the deck, your driveway and your car, this lightweight Karcher K2.26M + T50, with wand and 5 attachments makes your outdoor cleaning easier.  This is an item on my wish list, but I haven’t gone for it yet. I’m waiting for just the right moment, defined by who is in the auction, what type of sale DealDash is offering at the time and often, what day of the week it is.  I’ll get it, I usually get everything I’ve set out to get one way or another (win or bin).  Deal Dash has a really nice selection of Pressure Washers, this is my favorite “around the house” model, but they carry pressure washers all the way up to an $800 professional model.  Simply type “pressure washer” in the search bar, select your favorite and bookmark it by clicking the star in the upper right hand corner of the auction or hitting the “Alert Me tab”.  DealDash will send you an email a couple of days before it comes on the market, a day earlier and about an hour or two before it goes live, they don’t want you to miss it.  I usually set an alarm clock the day of the auction.

These are just a few of my favorite cleaning machines they carry at Dealdash. Tip: this popular category takes patience and perseverance, don’t get discouraged if you don’t win it the first time around, you will, just keep trying. Since this auction will take time, I usually look for it during a Free Sale, this way I’m in for the long haul and when I win, I pay nothing, DealDash picks up the tab.  Yes! they do that all the time!

Good Luck and Happy Bidding!!!
