Parade of Tips with DealDash

DealDash

Ready for a parade of tips? Read on for more information from DealDash.

Everyone loves a parade! Know what else people love? Fireworks. Especially when they see them after a big win on DealDash. Parades and fireworks go hand in hand, and I have some excellent tips for you today on how to see those amazing fireworks on your screen after your win. Read on for more information.

Keep the Fun Atmosphere Going

When you first start bidding on DealDash everything is new, fun, and exciting. There are so many categories to explore, rules to learn, avatars and profiles to make – you’re busy! It’s just like an exciting parade atmosphere. However, once you have been bidding a while, things might start to get a little less exciting. This is when you know that you need to step up your game and make things fun and exciting again!

To make things exciting and adventurous again, I would suggest changing up your bidding style. If you’re someone who always single-bids, then use the BidBuddy. If you’re the sort of person who tosses in one bid and comes back later, try staying in the auction from start to finish. There are plenty of ways that you can change up your bidding style while you are using DealDash.

Change Your Attitude

Another way to keep the fun going on DealDash is to change your attitude about things. For instance, if you go into the auction thinking that you’re going to lose, don’t think that way! Go into the auction thinking “I have as good a chance as anyone else to get this item.” Because really, it’s true. The person who is the last bidder is the winner of the auction. There’s no reason why you can’t be the last bidder. The rest of the people will drop out eventually.

Keep the Fun Alive with BIN

If you always want to end up a winner on DealDash, then be sure that you familiarize yourself with BIN (Buy It Now). BIN means that if you aren’t the winner of the auction then you can still get the product by paying the retail price for it, and you will get all of your bids back. This way you’re always a winner because you’ll get the product that you wanted, you’ll receive all of your bids back, and you’ll get free shipping.

Free Bids for Everyone Whooooo!

There’s nothing that says “parade” more than DealDash throwing free bids off of the float! Okay, okay, there’s no float, but DealDash will throw you some free bids! All you have to do is sign into DealDash and place 1 bid. You’ll receive free bids! This will continue every day, and DealDash will give you more and more bids for each consecutive day that you sign in and place 1 bid. See, you don’t even need a parade to have fun every day on DealDash.

How the Winners Tab Helps Bidders Win on DealDash

There are so many tools on DealDash to help you get the win. You just have to know what to look for and use it to your advantage when it comes to bidding strategy. One tool I’d like to talk about today that is sometimes overlooked is the Winners tab—and I use it daily.

Where to find the Winners tab

You can find the Winners tab above the main page banner, just to the left of My Dashboard tab.

What information you can find on the Winners tab

There are many pieces of information you can gain from clicking on the winners tab:

  • A list of the winners of each and every auction over the past 24 hours (approximate)
  • Amount that each auction item sold for (auction end price)
  • Number of bids each winner used to win each item
  • Approximate cost of each item win
  • Buy It Now prices for each item

How to use information from the Winners tab

The first thing I do each time I bid is bring up the Winners tab. I scroll down all the way to the end to ensure I have as much data as is available ready to review. An item to note:  it may be necessary to refresh your page every now and then to bring up the most recently won auctions.

Size up the competition

As you are in any particular auction and other bidders enter the auction, you can use the Winners tab to search for their user names. Assess whether they have won many items over the past 24 hours. Have they overpaid on their won auctions (bid many more bids than you would for the same item)?

Tip: Just because an experienced bidder enters the auction does not mean you should give up on an auction. I never exit without staying the course a little longer just to see where things go. You never know if the bidder who just entered an auction will make just a short appearance.

Big-ticket winners

Take note of anyone who has recently won a big-ticket item such as a painting or sculpture. It is possible that these folks will be looking to cash in on their good fortune (if they have exchanged to bids) and bid in many auctions at once.

Tip:  Just because someone has recently won a big-ticket item does not mean they are an experienced bidder or are an immediate threat to the auction you are bidding on. Sometimes they just want to see if they can strike while the iron is hot and get lucky with another win. As always, stay the course as long as you feel comfortable. They will likely see you are not budging and go on their way.

Experienced bidders who have many wins a day

If you notice a bidder with many wins over 24 hours, he or she is likely an experienced bidder and wins many times each week. You will get familiar with these bidders to the point that you don’t have to search for their name in the Winners tab to know they have won several times that day.

Tip:  My first instinct is to back out of an auction when these folks pop into an auction, however, there have been several times when I have either won an auction because that person only placed one bid and others exited while I stayed or the reverse, where I have backed out of an auction and immediately lost to someone else because of the same reason. Give it a few bids to see if they stick around.

Beyond the Winners tab

The Winners tab is only one of many areas you can learn the tips and tricks of winning on DealDash. The great thing is that DealDash actually wants you to win and provides many areas to help you win.  Be sure to check out the Tips & tricks section located under the Help tab along with other helpful selections. DealDash Tips to Win and Win

DealDashAre you ready to win and win on DealDash? Here are some tips to get you winning more on DealDash.

Let’s face it, the fact that we are all bidding on DealDash is that we are hoping that we will win an auction and get a great deal on a new product. However, you might not be winning and winning as much as you would like. If you read this blog (and all of the other DealDash blogs, of course!) then you will be winning and winning before you can say “BID!” Read on for more information.

Look at Your Past

What have you won before? Take a peek at the auctions that you have won previously. Have you won a lot of items in a particular category? If you have had a lot of luck in a particular category then perhaps you should keep bidding in that category! However, if your winning is scattered across a few different categories then you should look at the auctions that you have won for the best deal. For example, I have won a lot of jewelry on DealDash. I continue to bid on jewelry because they make excellent gifts for just about any woman or girl. Once you have figured out what you’re good at winning, try to keep it going. Stay in your sweet spot until it stops giving you wins. Then move on.

Look to Your Future

If you haven’t had a lot of luck in the past on DealDash, then perhaps you would be better off looking towards the future. If you are able to visit DealDash every day and look for new products then you might be able to get a win. For me personally, it seems like I have a lot of luck with items when they first appear on DealDash. I’m not sure exactly why this is, perhaps people like to bid on things that are more familiar to them. However, I love trying new things and products, so bidding on brand new items when they become available on DealDash is fun for me.

Find the Right Time

If you want to win and win, then you need to find the best time to bid on an auction. This could be different times on different days. It could also mean different times depending on which category that you’re bidding in. The moral of this story is that you need to visit DealDash and do a lot of observation, not just bidding. Bidding without doing your research just isn’t a good idea.

Just Don’t Stop on DealDash

DealDash

“Slow and steady wins the race.” That is a completely true statement if you’re talking about DealDash. Read on…

Have you ever been in a very long auction on DealDash? I have been in a few that have lasted for over 24 hours, but I have seen some that last for days. This often happens when there is a super promotion going on such as Free Auction Wins. Just think, if it’s a highly sought after item with a free win, it could go on for quite some time. Here are some tips on how to deal with longer auctions on DealDash.

Free Auction Wins

As I mentioned above, sometimes DealDash does a wonderful promotion called “Free Auction Wins.” This means that no matter how high the bidding gets the winner will not have to pay a final auction fee at the end of the auction. Well, they pay .01, but that’s just a processing fee. .01 is close enough to free in my book! When DealDash runs this very popular promotion, expect to participate in some very long auctions. This is especially true when you are bidding on gift cards.

Since the BIN (Buy It Now) price of a gift card is just its face value with no other fees added then people love to rack up the TATHB (Time As The Highest Bidder) time on their bid meters to get free bids. This is especially true if it’s a very popular and useful gift card such as Target or Shell Gas because these are places that people go anyway. So if you’re bidding on a popular gift card on a Free Auction Win day, then be prepared to bid for a while.

Be Sure to Use Your Buddy

If you’re bidding in a marathon auction, then be sure that you’re taking advantage of DealDash’s free bidding tool, the BidBuddy. Trust me, after the first couple hours of sitting at the computer bidding you’re going to want to take a bathroom break, get a snack, and stretch your legs a little. So even if you prefer to do single-click bidding, be prepared to use your BidBuddy some of the time so you don’t miss out on any of the action while you take your break.

Don’t Bid the Entire Time

If you’re in a very long auction, then I don’t advise that you spend the entire time bidding. This is especially true if it’s a very high dollar item that many other people are trying to win. After you have put in a few initial bids to see if the auction is going to end quickly, then you need to assess the situation. See how many BidBuddies are taking turns bidding. If there are more than 10 BidBuddies bidding, then this auction is most likely going to last a long time. I would check back every hour or so and count the BidBuddies. Once it’s down to 5 or less, then I would get back into the action.

See how many BidBuddies are taking turns bidding. If there are more than 10 BidBuddies bidding, then this auction is most likely going to last a long time. I would check back every hour or so and count the BidBuddies. Once it’s down to 5 or less, then I would get back into the action. This strategy can fail, of course, if the BidBuddies are all set to a similar number of bids and the auction ends suddenly. However, if you have only placed a few bids, anyway, you are only losing .30 or .40, so it’s not a big commitment.

Also, if you have received your free bids for bidding daily, then it’s no commitment at all, because depending on how many daily free bids you are earning, it could completely cover the cost of throwing a few bids out to “test the waters” of an auction.
