Popular New Products

Wow! Have you taken a look at some of the newest products on DealDash.com?

Let’s take a look at some of the most popular new items – a hydroponic system for year ‘round gardening and a portable air conditioner.

Year ‘Round Gardening

One popular new product is a hydroponic system for growing our own vegetables and herbs. This mini indoor garden has 512 DealDash shoppers bidding on it as of this writing. Evidently, a mini garden that will grow up to 24 herbs, veggies and flowers year ‘round is something many people would love to get. Just imagine how nice it would be to have our own little garden at our fingertips.

This garden allows plants to grow in water (not soil) five times faster than outdoor plants. Veggies can grow up to 36 inches high. It uses an average of 126 watts and based on 11 cents per kilowatt hour means it would cost about $7.30 a month. What’s even more amazing is that this indoor mini-garden uses grow lights and can even be cared for using Wi-Fi controls.

I took growing veggies for granted because I grew up on a large organic farm where I helped to plant and pull weeds from a 1,000 square foot garden. It was a lot of hard work and I never thought I would ever miss it. However, I now know how awesome it would be to grown my own vegetables.

Portable air conditioner

The first new item that caught my attention was the portable air conditioner and it also caught the attention of 513 other DealDash shoppers who are bidding on it now. Do you know why?

I would be willing to bet that many of these bidders are most likely residents of the Pacific Northwest where I live. We recently got hit with a very unusual heat wave and only half of the residents in this area have air conditioning in our homes. That’s because the temperature rarely gets above 80 degrees in our summer months, so we were completely unprepared when the temperature got up to 111 degrees Fahrenheit for a few days.

I feel lucky that my computer room is located downstairs where it stays much cooler because it is below ground level. After surviving the recent hot spell, however, many of us are now looking at the possibility of investing in getting an air conditioner.

I never before saw a portable air conditioner but I really like the idea of having one that I would be able to move from room to room. This conditioner, which stands 28 inches high, can cool a room up to 350 square feet.  It has 8,000 BTU (DOE Standard)/13,000 BTU (ASHRAE Standard) and has a LCDI power cord with a three-prong grounded plug that uses an 115V electrical outlet. For more specific details you can read the description the next time it comes up for auction on DealDash.

With so many DealDash shoppers bidding on these new items, it might be difficult to win an auction immediately. However, these two items might be a great time to use BIN.

Bid Exchanges

Have you done any bid exchanges on DealDash.com?

Here’s how bid exchanges work. When we win an auction on DealDash and go to pay for the auction, we will usually receive an option of either paying for the sale price of the auction product or exchanging it for bids free of charge instead. The number of bids we could receive in exchange for the product we won is based on the value of the BIN.

Why Do a Bid Exchange

You might wonder why anyone would want to do a bid exchange. Why would bidders place bids on an auction product in the first place for something they did not really want? That’s a good question. There are actually many reasons why the bid exchange option could work to our advantage. Let’s take a look at some of those reasons:

  • Perhaps the auction closed at a much higher sale price than what we initially wanted to pay for the product. We don’t have to pay the sale price if we exchange the product for bids. Of course, we could still end up losing more than we gain if we overbid the value of the product.
  • Another reason we might opt to do a bid exchange is because we might notice that we won a product that was the wrong size. For example, we might have needed a large jacket and noticed it was only a size medium. In that case we might be better off doing a bid exchange so we could apply the bids to try to win the right sized jacket in another auction.
  • A third reason we might want to do a bid exchange is because we are focused on increasing the number of bids we have in our account. In that case, we might bid in an auction that looks like it is easy to win even if we know the product is the wrong size and/or we know the product is not really something we want. For example, we might see a ring that is only a size 6 and maybe the competition is extra low because not many customers wear a ring that small or we might see an auction that has less than 10 people bidding and we only decide to place bids in that auction because it looks like an easy win.

Our competitors might not have recently won a big bid pack, but if any of our competitors have recently won several other auctions we never know if they did a bid exchange, so we should always keep that in mind. By using the bid exchange option we might be able to save enough bids to compete and win another auction that might be more difficult to win.

Mega Sales

Out with the old and in with the new. When shopping on DealDash.com what does this mean?

Lately, I’ve been seeing some information that DealDash.com about eliminating some of its old products to make room for more new products.

Of course, I have no way of knowing which products DealDash will no longer have up for auction. Therefore, what that means to me is that now is the time to shop for all of the products I might want to have that might no longer be available in the near future.

I’m not going to worry about bid packs ever disappearing because I’m pretty sure bid packs will always be available for auction.

I also believe DealDash will probably continue to offer new vehicles for auction because they are definitely a very popular item. In fact, DealDash is the only auction site I know of that auctions off new vehicles, which can be a really awesome deal for the winners, especially those who win a Tesla (which is definitely a dream car). On May 4 one winner used only 289 bids and won a new car for a sale price of only $2,452.86. So I hope that will continue for a while.

Now or Never

Some auction items, however, might not continue to be available much longer, and that means we might have to shop for them now or never.

There are many different ways that DealDash might quickly sell out its inventory of some items they regularly carry. For example, as of this writing, DealDash put 30 products from its electronics and computers category up for auction all at the same time. DealDash also periodically schedules sales that start and end at specific hours.

Super Blast Sales

Today DealDash started a “Super Blast” sale that started this afternoon and (if my math is right) it will run until midnight.

Common sense tells me that the products we see in the “Super Blast” sales might be the ones that DealDash could soon eliminate from its inventory. Therefore, if we want any of these items they are the ones we should be shopping for while the supply lasts.

New Items

If we want to keep our eyes open for the new products DealDash has now added to its shopping site, all we have to do is go to “Browse Categories” in the upper left of the home page and click on “New Items.”

We can expect to see some truly awesome new products, so check it out!

‘Early Bird Gets the Worm’

My mother had a saying for everything. Some of her favorite ones were: “When the going gets tough, the tough get going,” “Those who row the boat don’t have time to rock it” and “The Early Bird Gets the worm.”

I didn’t pay much attention to these sayings when I was young because they all sounded like she was trying to get me to work harder and longer hours. However, some of those pieces of advice came back to me at just the right times when I was older and I now know that some of them can even be applied to DealDash.com shoppers too.

When it comes to shopping on DealDash, “The Early Bird Gets the Worm,” could be translated into “Early Shoppers Win the Best Bargains” or “Frequent Shoppers Win the Most Bargains.”

Bargains Won in 24-Hours

In spite of its huge following, DealDash shoppers still win outstanding bargains every day.

I just checked the “Winner’s List” and I saw that within the last 24-hours, three DealDash customers won a 275 bid pack using only 1 bid and it sold for only 1 cent, 2 cents and 3 cents. In fact, I wrote before that winning deals like this often run in patterns. To prove it, I myself placed bids on a 275 bid pack to see what would happen, and I won, too. I used 26 bids and it sold for 74 cents, but that was still a pretty good deal.

Another shopper won the 425 bid pack using only one bid and it sold for 7 cents. Yet, another shopper won the 600 bid pack using 1 bid and it sold at 53 cents, and these examples were not even the best bargain within the last 24-hour period. Nope. One shopper won the 800 bid pack 12 hours ago using only 1 bid for a selling cost of 4 cents, but the best bargain of all was won only 4 hours ago (as of this writing) by a DealDash customer who used 10 bids to win a 2,500 bid pack that sold for $1.06. Wow!

Not only were several bid packs selling at bargain prices, but one loyal customer used 20 bids to win a stainless steel watch with a BIN (Buy It Now price) of $1,700.00. It sold for $3.01 just 10 hours ago. Also, 6 hours ago (as of this writing) a yellow gold women’s watch with a BIN of $375.00 sold for 66 cents and the winner used 11 bids.

Multiple Features

Lately, I’ve noticed that DealDash often runs more than one feature at the same time.

For example, DealDash is now offering a first runner-up discount in selected auctions. That means if we come in right behind the winner when the auction closes (which happens to me a lot) we might qualify for a discounted price of 50% OFF if we do a Buy-It-Now.

At the same time, DealDash is running a 2X (time as the highest bidder multiplier) so we get 18 seconds on the clock for each bid placed, instead of 9 seconds. That makes our green line move a lot faster so we can earn our free bid pack more quickly.

Bottom Line

Winning just a few awesome deals like the ones I listed above makes shopping on DealDash well worthwhile. Happy shopping everyone!
