If You’re Not Binning, You’re Not Winning at DealDash

Binning is the most fair and honest way you can get all your bids back. DealDash has this very fair exchange system where, if you bid on an item and you don’t win, they will give you the bids you used trying back.  All you have to do is purchase the item at the fair retail price, and the bids you used are yours.

There are so many items on the site that you need everyday.  These are the most reasonable prizes to go after.  I say reasonable because, if you don’t win it, it makes sense to buy it.

There have been many times I have bid on items that I don’t want, then in the end, I didn’t win it either, that means if I don’t want it, and I didn’t win it….I get nothing. That’s why it’s so important to stay focused on the one or two items you really want.

DealDash is adding new items everyday, you don’t have to wait long to see the new stuff.  This is one of the most fun things about DealDash, it’s the shopping!  If you are going to bid, you need to find items you really want, bid on that item to the “BIN” amount.

The BIN (Buy It Now) equation is simply the cost of the item divided by the cost of bids, that leaves you with the number of bids to use before you buy an item.  So, if you have an item that is worth $80 and bids cost you .15 cents, the calculation is. 80./.15= 533 bids. Do not exceed 533 bids to purchase the item.  Now think about it, you go buy the item and you own it.  Now you have the bids too.

Binning is really winning. If you use the retail amount of bids and don’t win, you get your bids back if you purchase the item, now you get to go back to the site and try to win another item.  PLUS, you own the item you were trying to win.

You will win auctions at DealDash.  There are 100’s of players who win everyday. Check the Winner’s List on the DealDash main page, this information will let your know who is in the “house” and what the final prices are trending at.  For example, if you see all the auctions are closing for high numbers, the site is most likely crowed.  But, if auctions are closing at low prices, like .50 cents then it’s a really good time to bid!

Jumpers and Stompers at DealDash

So, you’ve been bidding at DealDash for awhile and you’ve noticed two different bidding styles that may annoy you somewhat, Jumping and Stomping.  What I can tell you is, even though it may not be nice, it’s not illegal. There are a dozen or so players at DealDash who jump and more that stomp, but they can be beat!

First let’s define these acts, Jumping is pretty common, especially on the higher retail items.  As you may have noticed DealDash has a “No Jumper” limit of $5, this means that no new players can join the auction after the $5 mark.  A jumper will place one to a dozen bids very early in the auction and then disappear for the next 1000 bids or so.  Now the auction is at $10.00 and they come back and try to out bid you because you’ve used 300 bids or more and now they feel you’ve exhausted your quota for the item, so they’ve come in to steal the item.  This back fires so often it’s hilarious when a “jumper” gets his just rewards (losing) for jumping.

The first thing that goes wrong for the jumper is the auction ends under $5, this happens more than not, but the average jumper will continue to take that chance.  I’ve jumped the jumper, that’s how I handle it. By jumping the jumper, I too, run the risk of losing because I dropped out.  This activity is common among the seasoned pro or when price doesn’t matter and sometimes both.  Some players just have buckets of money, you have to outsmart them, and believe me, they make mistakes, I’ve beaten them all and you will too. The other problem for the jumper is they actually don’t have very many bids so they wait and wait and hope no one wins.  Then they come back and use only 50-100 bids, not the 1000 like others do. They can be beat as well.

The Stomper is another breed of player, usually a new player who doesn’t understand the value of the Bid Buddy.  Your Bid Buddy is the best way to win an auction, it’s an automatic bidding system provided by DealDash.  When you stomp, you generally don’t plan when the bids are being placed, many will bid after every single other bid, this uses bids up exponentially and doesn’t win more auctions.  Often, the problems the stomper will encounter is other players who will stomp them back.  I don’t like to waste bids doing it, but others will just to “teach them a lesson”.  Hey, it is a competition, and as I said, it’s not illegal. It’s just not nice.

The Stomper is easily beat, they usually run out of bids very early in an auction, they use them up so quickly that when their bids are gone….they are gone.  Stomping is not a sustainable system of bidding and most people will finally give in to use the Bid Buddy.  There are however, several players who have been around for a long time who stomp.  Their strategy is to frighten players away from the auction, because if they stomp, you may lose the free bids DealDash gives you for your Time As High Bidder (TAHB). Your  TAHB is time rewarded in the form of free buds by DealDash for bidding.  For every second you are the highest bidder of the auction, you earn free bids, these bids are given when you reach your next level.

So, now you know about Jumpers and Stompers, not illegal, but not nice. In turn, I hope I’ve encouraged you to use your Bid Buddy, it’s really the best way to win auctions and earn free bids.

Good Luck and Happy Bidding!!!

Change Bidding Styles to Win @ DealDash

When you’re a Newbie at DealDash, it’s exciting but chaotic.  There is some wonderful winning moments and some awkward unsure moments.  You bounce around and don’t know what to bid on.  You’re unpredictable.  You may stomp players and lose free bids, you don’t know how many bids to put in an auction, it’s a learning time for sure. But, when you become a seasoned pro, you tend to do the same thing over and over, and that behavior is predictable.

Be unpredictable!  You don’t want to bid as if you don’t know what your doing, but just the opposite.  Know all the bidding styles, and spread your style around.  If you normally bid on small items, but leave early, the next one stay a while.  If you stay you confuse the player who expected you to leave.  Now you’re going to win because they can’t predict when you’re leaving.

If you are that type of player who loves to play the front end of an auction, and you do it repeatedly, other players will remember and just wait until you have exhausted all your bids and then join the auction.  If you used half the amount of bids you would have in the front end, then when the other player jumps in you leave, only to return later.  Something you’ve never done….a little scary, yup, but it makes you unpredictable and that wins auctions at DealDash.

Likewise, if you are the type of player who puts one bid in before $5 and then only comes back after others have used 1000 or more bids, you are not hiding!  The fact that your are bidding that late most likely means you don’t have very many bids, and you won’t really last.  Be unpredictable, come in the early part of an auction, and use more bids, I would bet you’d win more auctions.

Don’t underestimate the competition, just when you think you’re going to win, this guy comes in to use 100’s of bids even though it’s down to you and that player.  Ask yourself, is it worth it? Should you continue to try to win, or should you just let them have it.  If you don’t want to keep dipping into your check book to buy bids, back out and let them have it.  Believe me, it is reciprocated. Not everyone will be so kind, but it does make you feel good, and most of all conserve bids.

If you are the type of person who only bids 10 bids and leaves, find a really popular auction and bid on that one until the sun goes down because there are so many players in the auction, so a lot of players will see your tenacity.  That is a valuable atribute to have.  It doesn’t really work in an auction with 5-10 people, you have to get into an auction with many players so the “masses” see it. This may mean you have to bid on only one auction, or you could run out of bids.

There are any number of types of players, you know which you are, and so does everyone else.  I can predict the other players, and I’m often right.  I’ve learned to conserve bids and win more auctions by switching up the way I play the game….typically on a daily basis.

Good Luck and Happy Bidding!!!

The Seasoned Player at DealDash

The seasoned player at DealDash is a cunning, experienced player.  They know their way around the site, and they aren’t afraid to bid.  They know when to bid and who to bid against.  Well, this information is at the tip of your fingers and you can use the site to improve your game.

First, don’t start by banging bids around the site, this is called “stomping”  if you bid randomly on items you waste bids and pay too much for an item,  most seasons pros won’t do this, I say most because some will do it as if they just got there. They probably don’t spend much time on the site, or I’ve seen them only bid on extremely popular items this way.

As soon as you get to the DealDash site, check the “Winner’s List” this is the quickest way to see who is in the field right now.  You will see who has won and how many items they have won.  If there is one player winning a lot, try bidding on the same item after they have won it.  They can only win it once a week and won’t be back for at least that long.

You will become a seasoned player over time, until then, watch the players who win a lot.  If you can compete with a lot of bids, try it.  They make mistakes too.  If a player is seeming to place more bids than an item is worth, they could either be “big spenders” or they won their bids and with no cost they find overbidding to be acceptable.  This activity is done mostly during the “Free Wins” sale, many players will come and go.  Tip: Don’t get into a “Must win at all costs” frenzy during a Free Wins sale, especially with someone who has been on the site for several years.  I don’t like to see those players win all the time, so I don’t always leave, but if I know that they are just going to bid, bid, bid me out of the park, I may leave, at least I still have my bids.  You can always go back later, maybe they left or used all their bids.

The newer the player you are at DealDash, the fewer auctions you should be involved with. Bidding in every auction on the site is a seasoned players trait, but I don’t mind because they are spreading themselves too thin and bidding in too many auctions at once increases the chance that they will make a mistake.

As you can see, flipping around the site is important, you will become a seasoned player sooner if you do this.  Check your bidding history, see what your bidding habits are, does it change if you bid on high value prizes or are you a lower value item seeker across the board?

Make a list of the players, keep them in mind, put a little star next to the ones who play in all the auctions, you will see a pattern.  My best advice is to play around them.  They have been at DealDash for a long time for one reason….they are winners!
