Be a Happy Camper with DealDash

If you’re family is like my family, you all love camping.  It was our favorite vacation as our children grew up, and living in New England, we never had to go very far.  There were many mini vacations.  The hardest part of the trip was traveling all over the state to find camping equipment before we went.  Thankfully, with DealDash, I no longer have to drive around to get what I need.  It saves me so much hassle!

DealDash has the greatest selection of tents and camping gear, some classic brands you’ll recognize and some unusual items only DealDash seems to find.  Their acquisition department searches the world and finds some of the most interesting merchandise.

What camping trip would be complete without a tent?  I’ve won tents at DealDash for just a few dollars.  I also “Binned” a tent once.  When you BIN (Buy It Now) DealDash will give you any bids used trying to win it back.  So, let’s say you decided to bid on a tent and you bid and bid, but to no avail, 300 bids later, you didn’t win, simply click the Buy It Now Tab on the auction page or in your Dashboard, and poof! the bids are returned to you!  DealDash never wants you to go away empty-handed, and they want you to come back, so it’s a great plan and we all get what we want.

If you want to rack up the BIN amount of bids and leave the Bid Buddy to do your bidding for you, it’s the best and easiest way to win.  Now, to figure out how many bids to put in the Bid Buddy take the cost of the item divide by the cost of the bids and you will have the number of bids to put in the Bid Buddy.  Let’s use the Coleman Lantern above, $27./.15=180 bids.  Don’t overbid, if you use all 180 bids, your best deal would be by purchasing it for bids back.  You’ll have the item and your bids back.

I can’t stress enough how much the Bid Buddy feature helps you win auctions, you don’t over bid and you earn consistent free bids with the Free Bid Meter.  It’s so simple to load the Bid Buddy, just open the auction from the main page, then see the “add bids here” and “Book a Bid Buddy” place the desired amount of bids in the space and then click on the “Book a Bid Buddy”.  Bid Buddy will now bid for you in order that you joined the auction, if there are 8 players, your Bid Buddy will deposit a bid for you after 7 of them, so every 8th bid is yours.

During the bidding process you will earn free bids from DealDash just for bidding, every time you place a bid there is about 9 seconds until Bid Buddy places the next bid, during this time you are “high bidder” during Time As High Bidder , you earn time toward reaching your next level.  When you have accumulated enough time to reach the next level your meter will light up blue and all you have to do is click on it and you’ll get your free bids.  In the beginning, you get 50’s-100’s of bids but after time, you get thousands, I am at level 86 and when I reach level 87 I’ll get 1080 bids!  It’s really beneficial to use Bid Buddy.

Good Luck and Happy Bidding!!!

DealDash: Average Selling Price of Small Appliances

There are a few items at DealDash that sell for a low closing price and you can get one or more of these small appliances if you play your bids right.

Here are a few tips when considering an item under $200.  The first thing you want to do is NOT overbid.  If you can avoid it at all don’t overbid, it distracts from winning for a few pennies.  When you are a new player at DealDash you may be tempted to overbid on a small appliance, but I can tell you that they sell often for just a few pennies, so why not let that be you!

Here are  few average selling prices of auctions which I have won, they are simple and require only a few bids, but you can’t get caught up in a bidding war over an item that should take only 50 bids. don’t let yourself get into one of these battles because you simply don’t have to, you can without a doubt win a toaster with just a few bids.  It may take a few tries, and you have to have patience, but it can happen.  If you are willing to purchase the item you can BIN the amount of bids, but this article is about winning with just a few bids.

microwave 113 bids and $20.15

toaster 60 bids and $1.20

electric coffee pot 24 bids and .65 cents

can opener 12 bids and $1.12

These are just a few of the great deals I have found at DealDash, but I’ve won many more.  I love to give the items I win at DealDash to my family and friends and they are alway so surprised at how little the items cost me.  Now when I have a gift or an item I give away, they always want to know, “how little did you pay for this?”  That’s funny, but the truth is you can’t win them all, so for every item I win I may lose up to 9 more. that is about a 10% win rate.  I’m ok with that considering many of my auction I only pop in one bid to come back later, and well, maybe I won’t.

There are many, many items you can win with just a few bids and small appliances are among the greatest of prizes to win easy.  If you get into a battle with someone for a small appliance and they just won’t quit,  I suggest YOU quit, and go for the next one, if there is one on the market in 10 minutes, I’ve seen it go for less than the one I’m “involved” with .  It happens all the time.

Don’t underestimate the power of the “next auction” DealDash has new items on the market every minute of every day, there is always the next one, there is always one that is easier to win.  Don ‘t get hung up on one auction, there is a vast number of auctions waiting for you around the clock.

Good Luck and Happy Bidding!!!

Secret Strategies Of A Bid Jumper

Ok, so you get frustrated, red in the face and just downright angry when a bidder comes in “late in the game” and outbids you. These bidders have been coined “bid jumpers” by penny auction users, but what if jumpers had it all right and you were just bidding wrong?
Jumping is definitely a form of strategy for some penny auction bidders.
In defence of bid jumpers…
1. Bid Jumpers conserve their bids.
Think about this: If you begin bidding as soon as the auction starts and continue to bid for a few hours, just because you got in the first, or one of the first bids does not mean you will win or are entitled to win. Anyone can place a bid at any time. Except: Since DealDash understands that bidders do not like late entry “jumpers” all bidders must place a bid before the item hits $5.00, all new bidders after the $5.00 mark will not be allowed to place a bid.
2. Bid Jumpers pay attention.
Bid jumpers “sit in the weeds,” and pay attention to the auction. They research their opponents, they watch their bidding patterns, and they only place bids when the auction has been running for quite some time, or when they think bid buddies have run out of bids.

3. Bid Jumpers often annoy and confuse other bidders, therefore causing them to win more often.
Think of it this way. If a bidder “jumps” in enough while the same, say two bidders, have been bidding against one other it may confuse one or both of the two causing the new “jumper” bidder to win. Not always, but this is a possibility.
Still don’t like jumpers? Check out DealDash’s No Jumper Auctions.
How do No Jumper auctions work?
“When the price of an auction hits $5.00 (500 bids), all new bidders are blocked from entering the auction. This means less bidders and auctions that are easier to win. This is only on DealDash.com.
What do you think about bid jumpers? Do you jump in later?

Helpful Tips & Strategies of 13 DealDash Bidders!

We love to hear your bidding tips and strategies. Here are just a few tips commented here by DealDash bidders!

“THE STRATEGY i LIKE TO USE WITH BIG ITEMS THAT i WANT IS TO MAKE SURE TO GET A BID IN IN THE FIRST 5 MINUTES…THEN i’M NOT LOCKED OUT..THEN i KEEP AN EYE ON THE BATTLES, WHO THE PLAYERS ARE…i COME BACK EVERY HOUR OR SO, THEN WAIT UNTIL THEY’RE ARE JUST 2 PLAYERS, THEN IT’S TIME TO JUMP IN WITH A BIG PILE OF BIDS..EVENTUALLY ONE GOES, THEN IT’S 2man battle of wills”- Colleen
“Quit overspending for your item, when watching item wait until it is down to just 2 people, than start bidding”- Colleen
“Bid Buddy is important to use so you don’t waste and run up the final auction price.”-Dianne
“jumping in after 5 mins is like trying to steel something that they have already put alot of bids in.”-tim
“I always have a game plan and a plan for a plan going into auctions. Do not allow yourself to get bored or distracted by bidder bios. Get that 1 bid in before the auction gets locked and no more bidders are permitted. Be patient and observe whats going on and sit back and wait till you see a couple bid buddies going before you jump in. Good Luck.”-D Rutkowski
“I too place a bid in the first 2 minutes to make sure I can bid later. Then I keep checking on it until I see 3 players consistently bidding. Then I start bidding on it watching not to overspend.”-ojtigger
“What i have learned is bidding early in the morning or late at night has better odds of winning— the competition is not as fierce.”-Barbara
“just pay attention I’ve look ed away for seconds and lost”-justjill71
“I get too excited and start bidding too fast. Don’t do this. Jump in when you have watched the item you want and only a couple of people are bidding.”-Bobbie Dewolf
“I have to be very careful or I get carried away with buying bids and not winning anything.”-Linda Mitchell
“I wait to bid late in the evenings to bid. Good items have sold low in the late/morning hours. And it has worked for me thanks to bid buddy.”-Bid2Win75
“This is for the new bidders, before bidding on your first auction, watch a couple first to learn how it works and get a feel for the whole auction process in general. Then when you feel confident enough, place your first bid and remember to stick with one auction, don’t go placing bids on many different auctions as you will lose tons of bid very quickly. Patience is a key word in the auction world and if you practice this you will find it will pay off in the long run.” -lakergirl1
“I have been on Deal Dash for over 1 year and have got lot of nice things. I am also a gift card queen. Over 250 in gift cards. I agree with all of these tips. My tip is use the bid buddy and load and forget. I also watch when the auctions are running really high. I seem to win a lot of my things is early morning and around 430-5 pm eastern time. Also, if I spend a lot of bids and don’t win but like the product, I will buy and Deal dash gives me back my bids I spent trying to win. A lot of bidders do not like people who just jump the bids up and don’t use the bid buddy. We are all here to win , so play nice and have a happy win and holidays!”-wvajan
