Tips on “Buying It Now” on DealDash

DealDash bin

“Buying It Now” also known as “BIN” is the way to bid risk-free on DealDash. Read on for the details.

What is Buy It Now? Buy it Now or BIN is a spectacular feature that is offered on every single DealDash auction, every day. BIN is available to every bidder, no matter how many bids you place, or how many bidders are in the auction. DealDash is the only pay-to-bid auction site that offers Buy It Now on all of their auctions. Bidders love the BIN feature because it allows all bidders to attempt winning an item they want without losing any money at all.

Here’s an Example

Let’s see how the BIN feature would work on a popular auction. For example, the Canon Black EOS Rebel T5i Digital SLR with 18 Megapixels and 18-55mm Lens Included. This is a very expensive camera that a lot of people would like to win. However, as we all know, there can only be one winner! That means if 50 people were bidding in this auction there will be 49 people who are disappointed that they didn’t win. They could ease their disappointment by using the BIN feature.

The retail value of the camera is $737, so that equals a lot of bids. If you bought your bids at .15 per bid, that equals approximately 4,913 bids. Wow. If you entered the auction and got into a fierce competition with another bidder and lost your 4,913 bids and still didn’t win, you would be pretty upset. However, don’t worry! DealDash lets you buy it now!

If you didn’t win the auction for the camera, you can receive all of the bids you placed back! All you have to do is buy the item and get all of the bids you used bidding back in your account instantly! You have 7 days from the time the auction ends to pay the full retail price of the camera. After you pay DealDash will give you back all of your bids to use in a different auction.

How Do You Buy It Now?

All you have to do is click “Buy it now” on the item after it’s already ended and pay the retail price. You will get ALL of the bids you placed back into your account to try again next time, as well as free shipping on the item.

Step 1: Click buy it now, it’s right under the bidding area on the item’s page!

Step 2: Click buy it now on the second screen that pops-up over the item. Pay the retail price, and it will be yours. You even get to keep the “clock time” that you accumulated while bidding!

Tips From DealDash – How Many Bids?

DealDash Bids

Today we are going to take a moment to talk about DealDash bids. How many bids should you be buying and spending? Read on to find out.

Today’s topic is all about bids. How many bids should you be buying? How many bids should you spend in an auction? How many bids are needed to reach the BIN (Buy It Now) price? All of these questions and more will be answered in today’s DealDash Tips article.

How Many Should I buy?

The answer to this is easy! If the price of bids is high you should only buy the bare minimum needed to bid that particular day. You might think “What does it matter if the bid price is .14 or .18? Well, it matters a lot! If you have $100 to spend on bids today, and the price of bids is .18, then you can buy around 555 bids. That’s a nice chunk of bids, however, if you had bought them the previous day when the price was .14, you would have gotten 714 for the same amount of money! The per-bid price really does make a huge difference. So, in short, when bid prices are low, stock up!

For some people spending $100 on bids is a lot of money, their whole “fun” budget for the month. For other people, that’s just a couple of lunches at a restaurant, no biggie.  Most people probably fall somewhere in-between these two extremes, so figure out your budget and buy as many bids as you can when they are on a good sale.

How Many Should I Spend?

When thinking about how many bids you should spend, you need to keep your own personal bidding budget in mind. If you have tons of bids in your bid bank then you can afford to throw them around a little, whereas if you only have the bare minimum, maybe you should save them until you can buy/win/earn some more.

How Many Bids to the BIN Price?

Figuring out how many bids to reach the BIN price is easy in theory. If it happens to be a free auction weekend then things are easy! Just take the retail price that’s listed on the auction and divide it by the price that you paid for each bid. For example, $25 divided by .14 equals 178. However, if it’s not a free auction weekend then you are going to have to get a little more creative and estimate the price that the auction will end, and do the math from there.

DealDash Tips to Beat Everyone

dealdash tips

Going into an auction your plan is to beat everyone, correct? Here are some helpful tips from DealDash to accomplish your mission.

No one goes into an auction thinking that they are going to lose. They know that the odds are stacked against them, but they have hope that they will be the winner. There are some things that you should (and should not do) when you are participating in an auction to help your chances of winning. Follow these simple and easy tips and tricks from DealDash Tips to take your winning up a notch!

Be Prepared

Make sure that you are always prepared when you enter into an auction. Do your research, purchase your bids, and take a peek at your competition. It’s a smart idea to just place one bid in the very beginning so you can see who is participating in the auction and ensuring that you aren’t locked out of bidding. I don’t suggest that you “jump in” at $4.99 when the auction is just about to be locked, that’s just rude. However, I do advise that you let the auction play out for at least a dollar or so just so you can have a good idea who is going to be participating in the auction with you.

Take Your Bidding Seriously

Yes, take your bidding seriously. Don’t try to do a lot of multitasking when you’re bidding in a DealDash auction. If you’re trying to make dinner, help the kids with homework, chat on the phone, and bid then it’s not going to go well. You should be paying close attention when you’re playing on DealDash. Of course, you can turn on the BidBuddy and walk away to do things. However, I personally sit and watch the auction even with BidBuddy doing the work for me, especially if it’s an item that is important to me.

Be Sneaky

That’s right – sneak up on a win! Do a little bidding, then sit out for a bit. Jump back in, jump back out. It confuses people, and you might just sneak up on a win! Give it a try. Be careful that you don’t forget to jump back in, though, it’s happened to me. I get distracted easily and have completely forgotten to check back in on auctions, sometimes. See the tip above – take your bidding seriously for more wins.

DealDash Tips to Win Grills

Kingsford Barrel BBQ Grill

As we head into Spring it will soon be time to cook out on the grill. Here are some tips to win grills from DealDash.

Grilling outdoors in the Spring, Summer, and Fall is a wonderful (and delicious) family activity. Would you rather have a dried out steak that’s been under the broiler or a wonderful juicy steak straight from the grill? There’s just no comparison! Do you know what makes grilled food taste even better? If you won your grill for an awesome price from DealDash. Here are some of our top tips for winning grills.

Choose Your Grill

Before doing any bidding on DealDash you’ll want to do your research and choose the best grill for your needs. There are quite a few different choice of grills on DealDash. Before you invest your time and your bids you should research which one is perfect for you. Some of the choices on DealDash include a barrel BBQ grill, a charcoal camper grill, and indoor grill, and more.

Pick the Best Auction

DealDash often offers the same item within days or weeks of each other. Once you have figured out exactly which grill that you would like to win then choose the day and time that suits your needs. Typically auctions that start very early in the morning or very late at night on weeknights tend to end at a lower price. However, you never know what’s going to happen in a DealDash auction! It’s completely up to the bidders – it could sell for one penny or for retail price, you never know!

Just BIN It if You Need it

If you are really in need of a new grill hopefully you will win. Sometimes no matter how much you need an item someone else wants it more, and you don’t win the auction. Losing an auction isn’t the end of the world because DealDash offers the BIN option. You can always BIN (Buy It Now), and pay retail price for the item and receive all of your bids back. Not only will you receive your item, all of your bids back, and get to keep the clock time that you accrued while bidding, you will also receive free shipping. When we are talking about a large item such as a grill, you will actually save yourself some trouble by BINning it from DealDash. This way you won’t have to go to the store to pick it up. The UPS man will bring it right to your doorstep!
