Winning Only Bid Packs at DealDash

1000-bid-packThere is an entire culture of players at DealDash that loves to just win bid packs.  If you plan on winning bid packs too, you should try to learn who they are.  The first line of defense is to watch a handful of bid pack auctions. Try watching more that one, it doesn’t help if you are only seeing a couple of players, you want to see who is bidding hard on the bid packs.

Write down a list of names and characteristics, this is a guide to your future bidding.  I am a firm believer in “planning” to win.  That entails shopping, setting alarms and showing up on time for an auction.  Once in the auction you can assess the players, and there are a few different types.

There is the guy who comes in and stays the whole time, they will bid many more than the bid pack price and usually are using free bids they got for Time As High Bidder to win.  They can be avoided by staying away from the auction, they can’t be in every auction, although some try, so you will have a chance.  There is no hurry, if you don’t get in this one, there is one right around the corner.  DealDash releases bid packs constantly throughout a 24 hour period.

Bid during the off hours.  Try winning your bid packs at night, there are usually less players, and you could win for less.  Also, start with small packs and parlay into bigger packs.  Don’t get caught up in a bidding war over a 150 bid pack, use only a few bids, you don’t want to use all the bids you have to get less than you started with.  Bids weigh the same, so whether you go for a 150 pack or a 1500 pack, you can win with a few bids, or it may take more, but why not go for the big pack?

I always bid on the front end of a bid pack, the end is so volatile.  There are some players who like to join in the auction long after others have bid many bids, so to out smart them bid early because the auction often ends long before they come back.  Being a Jumper doesn’t mean you win more, it’s just a strategy.

Stay away from Stompers, those who bid without using a Bid Buddy, if you value your free bids for Time As High Bidder, and you love bids if you’re bidding on bid packs, so you must simply get out of an auction with a stomper.  Stomping back doesn’t pay, it’s a lose-lose situation.

I love bids too, but I refuse to use 1000 bids to win 1000 bids, others don’t, get to know the difference between those two bidding styles.  The fun thing about bids is there are a lot of players who don’t play for them at all, so once you get to know the crowd, it’s just you, them and the Newbies…they love bid packs too!

Good Luck and Happy Bidding!!!

Best Times To Bid at DealDash

Whenever you show up at the DealDash site is a fun time to bid, there are winners every couple of minutes, but are you bidding at the right time?  There is some question to whether or not there are better times to bid, and I am here to tell you, there certainly are.  The best way to see how crowded the site is would be to go into a popular auction, like a TV or a computer.  Count the number of players who got involved. You will see between 20-120 players, this is a good indicator to the site load.

First, you want to bid when the site isn’t overloaded with players.  There is always a crowd on the weekends.  Many players work all week, they are too busy to come to the site, but on the weekends, it’s a free-for-all!  You can also imagine that if you get paid on Friday, you’re going to join the fun for the weekend.

Second, some sales will have an influence on the number of players, for example, when there is a bid multiplier on the free bids DealDash rewards us, or if the final price of the item is one penny during a Free Event.  A sale where there is a No New Bidder after $3 is a great time to bid, this type of sale happens occasionally, and it reduces the field of players because no one can join the auction after the retail price reaches $3.

Mondays seem to be very busy.  I have noticed the residual players on Monday, they are still battling it out from the weekend.  That’s the beauty of DealDash, it’s a battle, and we love it!  So, those are the day of the weeks that are usually very busy.  But what time of day is best?

The time of day is important because the number of players wains in the wee hours of the night, then the number of players is usually lower, so you do have an advantage after midnight California time.  You can’t really play for the East Coast, it’s all about California because they are hours behind the East, you must factor them in.  One thing I like about the middle of the night is, players fall asleep at the wheel, literally, and their Bid Buddy runs out of bids before morning, that’s a great time to swoop in an win.

I like to bid on a daily basis right around what I call “drive time”  That’s when workers across America are driving to or from work.  That would be around 8AM on either coast. That helps eliminate the workers, but there are a lot of Grandmas and Grandpas on DealDash, they bid day and night and never sleep.  It helps to get to know them and actually avoid getting in a battle with them.

Who you are bidding against is just as important as what time it is, it’s all part of the strategy you need to develop to play DealDash.  Your wins may feel random, but it you plan to win, you will do better.  It’s not practical to just join the site and start randomly bidding.  Do yourself a favor and do some planning.

I’ve found mid week and mid day to be a great time to bid.  There seems to be the least amount of players, however, you will find those grandparents bidding during those hours.

A bit of advice, when you are trying to figure out which time of day suits you best, get some sleep. I stayed up for days at a time in the beginning, it’s such a learning curve, I didn’t want to stop.  What I can share with you is, you can use your Bid Buddy, and be generous.  There is always another one tomorrow or even later today, the popular items are usually offered in cycles, check the auction to see when the last offer was.

These are a few of the tips I can share with you to help you win.  You win more, I win more, we all win!

Good Luck and Happy Bidding!!!

Toys For All Ages at DealDash

apples-25You couldn’t have more fun at DealDash then going for the fun and games category.  I love bidding in this category.  Whenever I am in need of a game or toy, I always go to DealDash first, they have something for everyone.  I love the interesting selection of outdoor yard game, and indoor family games.

monopoly-23Think of your favorite game, and I bet you’ll find it at DealDash, one year for Christmas everyone in our family got a great game because they are fairly easy to win.  They are a popular item to bid on at DealDash, and you don’t find them on the schedule every day, so  you have to plan on winning in this category.  Some items go on the market every day, but not all items.  That’s why it’s so important to shop ahead.  Do your searches diligently.

lego-44The perfect Lego toy will come on the market and you don’t want to miss it.  To ensure you don’t miss any auction, use the handy bookmarking tools provided by DealDash.  They have the “Alert Me” tab in the auction, and you can find a bookmark star on the top right hand corner of the auction for items that have been scheduled already.  By bookmarking it, you will place the item at the top of your DealDash Homepage.  I like to set an alarm to remind myself to show up on time for the auction, you never know, it might go for a dollar, and I want to be the winner, but so will you!

xbox-368They carry board games and gaming systems too.  You can find the right game for your needs and set out to win it.  The games category is perfect for the Buy It Now (BIN) option.  You have to have the item, so you calculate the BIN price and place that number of bids in your Bid Buddy.  To calculate the BIN number of bids simple divide the retail price of the item by the current cost of bids, the sum is the number of bids you could use until you own it.

When you reach that amount of bids and you haven’t won it, you buy it and DealDash will thank you by giving you all the bids you used trying back.  Once you get the bids back, they are yours to use in any other auction.  The formula for a $50 prize when bids are .15 cents is 50./.15=333 bids.  Place the 333 bids in the Bid Buddy and sit back and wait.  I like to use this time to shop around to book mark for the future.  Just check in on the auction occasionally.

Check the games and toy category often, there is always something new coming down the road.  DealDash keeps the auction site fresh and full of prizes for us to be entertained and win!

Good Luck and Happy Bidding!!!

Bid Buddy Brings Success at DealDash

When you first get started at DealDash you will be tempted to poke your bids in one at a time and run from auction to auction trying to win one.  That’s a fun learning experience, but not the best way to conserve bids, and you will soon learn that using the Bid Buddy is the best way to conserve bids and win more auctions.

First, what is Bid Buddy?  Bid Buddy is an aut0matic bidding system designed by DealDash and exclusive to their site.  You place a number of bids into the feature in any auction, and the Bid Buddy will bid every time it’s your turn.  For example, if there are 5 players in the auction, it will bid every fifth bid for you, and the last bid is the winner.  If you don’t use Bid Buddy, you lose the security of your turn, you are much more likely to poke bids in after every other player, that uses bids, in this case, 5 times faster.  So, if everyone is using Bid Buddy, and you aren’t, chances are they have 10 bids invested in the auction and you have more like 50 for the same amount of time.  That also raised the cost of the item, of course, one penny at a time.

Bid Buddy can be found in an individual auction, when I purchased my first bid pack, I was very proactive with my bidding and quickly burned through the pack.  Use the Bid Buddy from day one.  Open the auction of a desired item, in the center of the page, there is a box that says “add bids here”.  You place your desired number of bids in the Bid Buddy, and that amount is deducted from your account, but you can cancel the Bid Buddy at any time, and any remaining bids will be returned to your account.  Once you put the bid in Bid Buddy, just click “Book a Bid Buddy” and let it do the work for  you.

You might think not being active in the auction is boring, but winning is not boring and you will win more using Bid Buddy.  Place your bids and then shop, it’s a great site with new items all the time.  You never know what you will find in the New Item Category.  Also, shop for your future, some items are not offered daily, so when you find an item you like and it’s not scheduled, you can use the “Alert Me” tab and have DealDash send you an email when it is scheduled.

Don’t underestimate your Bid Buddy, it’s a fair and honest way to bid at DealDash, it will help you win!

Good Luck and Happy Bidding!!!
