DealDash Tips Blog – Today’s Tips

DealDash

In need of some DealDash tips? Read on for today’s tips and tricks from the DealDash Tips blog.

Welcome to Monday’s blog, DealDash bidders! I hope that you had a lovely weekend and are ready for a week full of DealDash bidding. Today DealDash is having a special promotion which I will tell you about down below. Also, it’s important to note that if you pay for your auction today it will be delivered by Christmas. So get your Christmas gifts on DealDash today. Read on for more information about today’s special promotion on DealDash.

No Bidders After $3 Promotion

Normally on DealDash, there are no more new bidders permitted into an auction after the auction has reached $5. This is called the “No Jumper” rule. This ensures that auctions don’t run indefinitely. This could happen if it was a “Free Auction Day” and it was a highly coveted auction such as for a TV or video game system. Trust me, this No Jumper rule is a good thing!

As I said, today is the $3 No Jumper promotion. This means that there are no new bidders allowed into an auction after it reaches three dollars. This means that there’s an even better chance that you will be triumphant because there will be far fewer people in each auction. And that’s good news for all of the bidders. There are plenty of auctions available to bid on, so don’t fret, there are enough items for everyone. That’s one of the marvelous things about DealDash, there are new auctions starting every 2 minutes on average.

Free and Half-Priced Auctions

I mentioned another great DealDash promo above called “Free Auction Day”. This promotion is typically on a weekend, and sometimes you can even catch a Free Auction Weekend. During this promotion, all auctions only cost 1 penny. The auction price could reach hundreds of dollars, and you will still only pay 1 penny. There is typically quite a bit of competition on these days, but you can occasionally snag an auction for just a few bids. You never know until you try.

Half-priced auctions are similar to the Free Auction Day promo, except instead of paying 1 penny you pay half of the final auction fee. You can get excellent items for a discount on these days. There is a bit more competition on these days as well, however not normally as much as on a Free Auction Day.

“Idea of the Month Winner” from November 6th Blog

November was the first month that DealDash implemented their “Best Idea of the Month” contest. This will be a new contest that DealDash will offer every month to all bidders who write in with a suggestion or idea for DealDash. Jennifer Cadorna was the big winner of 500 bids for the contest this month. Her idea was:

“It would really be nice if earned badges would show on each bidder. We would get to know each other more other than descriptions that some really don’t care to fill up.”

Congratulations, Jennifer Cadorna, great idea!

How to Edit Your Profile from November 7th Blog

Editing your profile was the theme of November 7th’s blog written by Theresa B. She explained how to get to your profile, as well as gave some suggestions on filling in your bidder bio. Here’s how to get to your bidder bio:

“How to get to your Public Profile

Go to the My Dashboard link just under the Bids left and Buy Bids buttons (right hand side of the top of the page. Click on the link and choose Public Profile from the dropdown menu to get started.”

Check other Bidder’s Start Date from November 8th Blog

November 8th’s blog gave tips on how to get to know some of the other bidders on DealDash. Your fellow bidders span a huge age range, are in all corners of the USA and have different thoughts and ideas about bidding. An important thing that you should keep in mind when trying to get to know the other bidders is when they started. From the blog:

“I find that a lot of newbie bidders are extremely surprised to find that auctions can last not only hours but sometimes even days on higher priced items. “

There were many other tips mentioned on how to get to know a little bit more about the other bidders. If you would like to check out the entire article just click on this link right here.

Tips to Learn About Other DealDash Bidders

DealDash

What’s between you and an auction win? The other bidders. Here’s how to learn more about them, from DealDash.

The DealDash community is just like your local community – there are lots of different people from all walks of life, and they all do things differently. If you are able to learn more about them then you will have a better chance of being able to be the winner in an auction. There are a few different ways that you will be able to learn about the other bidders. Read on for more information down below, from DealDash.

Read Their Bidder Bio

Everyone has a bidder that they can fill out. Basically, you can write a couple of sentences of your choosing for the other bidders to read. Some people like to write about their families, their pets, their jobs, or their hobbies. Other people like to write more “challenging” messages such as “I will never quit bidding” or “I’ll bid until I have to BIN.” These messages may or not be true, of course!

Personally, I find that when people write more personal messages about their family or pets that it provides a lot more insight. For example, if “Granny2018” writes in her bidder bio that she is expecting her first grandchild in the beginning of 2018 I would know that she is most likely going to be bidding on baby items, and probably going to end up doing a BIN (Buy It Now) on them. This is because she needs the baby items for her first grandchild, and she probably doesn’t already own these items since it’s her first grandchild. And since she has to buy them anyway, she will probably bid all the way to the BIN price. So in this example, I probably wouldn’t even bother to throw in more than a few bids, because I would feel pretty sure I wouldn’t be able to get a quick win.

Look at Their Start Date

You can see when each and every bidder started on DealDash. While this isn’t a huge insight into their bidding habits, you can get a feel for if this bidder knows all of the tips and tricks like you do, or if they are making some newbie mistakes. I find that a lot of newbie bidders are extremely surprised to find that auctions can last not only hours but sometimes even days on higher priced items.  If it’s just down to me and a newer bidder that has just started, I would probably go ahead and keep bidding a little bit longer than if it was a more seasoned player. Of course, just because someone has just started on DealDash it doesn’t mean that they haven’t been bidding elsewhere and know what they’re doing.

Have You Ever Tried These DealDash Tips?

DealDash

Every new bidder needs a little help sometimes. Follow these DealDash tips to “up your game” while bidding.

DealDash is extremely fun and entertaining. Great bidders aren’t born overnight, though, and most people could stand to read a few tips every now and then, especially Newbies. Read these DealDash tips and decide if they are right for you to use the next time you visit the website. Read on for more information and tips.

Not Every Auction is the Same

If you haven’t been bidding on DealDash very long you might think that every auction is played in the same way. That would be incorrect! If you bid in every auction the exact same way then you aren’t going to win as many auctions as you could. There are a variety of reasons why one particular auction isn’t like the other, even if it’s for the same item. Some of these reasons can include:

  • It depends on who is bidding in the auction
  • It depends on what day the auction is
  • It depends on what time the auction is taking place
  • It depends on what other things are up for bid at the same time

So you see, you really can’t treat every auction the same way. You have to approach them differently and you will have more success.

Use Your BidBuddy for the Best Success

Not using your BidBuddy in each and every auction is a huge mistake.  The BidBuddy is like a gift! He’s given to every single bidder on every single auction. He’s the gift that just keeps winning! He’s very easy to use as well. It doesn’t take more than a couple of clicks, and you’ll be good to go. Here are very simple instructions on how to use your buddy, the BidBuddy.

  1. Find an auction that you would like to bid on
  2. Click on the auction’s picture to open up its individual page
  3. See the large black rectangle? The BidBuddy is in the middle
  4. Click in the blank box and put in the number of bids you want to use in the auction
  5. Click “Book a BidBuddy”
  6. Sit back and watch the BidBuddy bid for you
