Memorial Day Shopping

Memorial Day is coming up shortly on May 30, and DealDash.com will honor this holiday with Memorial Day weekend specials beginning May 28. Features will include Double Speed to Royalty Tier, 2X time as highest bidder, and Leaderboards. On May 29, no new shoppers allowed after the bidding reaches $3.

Memorial Day is an important part of our country’s history.

If you have not shopped on DealDash for a while, you might not know about all of the latest features that customers now enjoy. Let’s take a look at some of them.

More Time as Highest Bidder Progress for You

DealDash often offers 2X or 3X on the clock, but seldom offers as much as 4X or 5X on the clock. When DealDash does offer 4X or 5X on the clock, shoppers do not want to miss out on that because placing bids during this feature moves our green line to the right a lot faster so we can collect our extra bids a lot faster, too. For example, during the 5X feature, instead of getting 9 seconds on the clock for every bid placed we get five times on the clock for a total of 45 seconds (9 x 5) on the clock for each bid placed.

I really like all of these features – especially the 4X and 5X times on the clock. That gives all DealDash shoppers an opportunity to collect a large number of bids.

Leaderboard Auctions

At first, I did not like this feature, but now I love it. Once we learn how to use this feature to our advantage, it’s an opportunity to win more bids than we lose. Win or lose, this feature actually rewards customers who accumulate the most time on the clock in each auction. Also the higher the BIN value of the auction, the more free bids we more free bids we have the opportunity to receive. For example, let’s look at a hanging light fixture, with a BIN of $690. The Leaderboard feature is active right now. The shopper with the most time on the clock in this auction will receive 175 bids back, the second runner-up will receive 105 bids and the third place shopper with the most time will receive 70 bids. This auction just closed at $2.20 and the shopper with the most time on the clock only placed a total of 53 bids but she will get back 175 bids. So this winner ends up with 122 more bids to the good than what she had when she started. Win or lose, if this shopper accumulates the most time in several more auctions, too, she can really build up her bid bank in a hurry.

I was tempted to stop writing this blog, buy more bids and bid in this auction myself because it appeared the competition was low and this auction might close early. Now I wish I did just that.
This was a missed opportunity that just played before my eyes while I was writing about it. LOL!

I always looked forward to getting the day off work on Memorial Day to spend some quality time with family and to pay special tribute to loved ones who are no longer with us. Let’s also keep all of the people of Ukraine in our thoughts and prayers this Memorial Day and hope things will soon get better for everyone now going through difficult times.

Shopping For New Products

Do you ever browse categories to check out the new products coming up for auction on DealDash.com?  I do.

When I look at the new items on DealDash I see a pattern. Sometimes shoppers get the best deals using the least number of bids when they are the first ones to shop for a new product. It looks like the well-known saying that “the early bird gets the worm” might very well be true.

Looking over the new products that are now available on DealDash I see some interesting items. For example:

DealDash makes it easy to discover new products!

Antibacterial sanitizing wipes

This is something we all could use. When I first saw the Disinfecting Antibacterial Sanitizing Wipes I was surprised to see the BIN was a whopping $398 but there’s a good reason for that. We are not only shopping for one pack but we are shopping for a total of 48 packs – enough to last for a very long time. In fact, it is a big enough supply to keep a pack in each vehicle, bathroom, bedroom and kitchen. We could even gift them to our church or family members and friends.

So far, it looks like these wipes have sold far below the BIN, and some shoppers have gotten an extremely good deal. For example:

  • On May 21, the time of this writing, these 48 packs of sanitizing wipes sold for 41 cents and the winner paid a total of 81 cents including the cost of the 2 bids used to win. If I got a deal like that I would be jumping in joy!
  • Another time today, May 21, this auction sold for $18.92 and the winner paid a total of $23.12 including the cost of the 21 bids placed.
  • Again today, May 21, this auction sold for $6.70 and the winner paid a total of $12.10 including the cost of the 27 bids placed.

So not just one, but as you can see from the above examples, several shoppers won amazing bargains on this new product. Since the COVID-19 virus appears to be making a come-back in certain areas, we need to be more careful than ever to keep our hands and other surfaces clean and germ free. According to the DealDash description, these wipes kill 99.9 percent of germs and can be used on any surface we touch, such as countertops, tables, desks, chairs, door handles and light switches.

Stainless Steel Cufflinks

The black polished stainless steel cufflinks are highly durable, and according to all of the reviews so far, they are very sharp looking, too.

These cufflinks come in a fancy box and have a BIN of $495. However, several winners have already gotten a steal of a deal on them.  For example:

  • On May 1 these cufflinks sold for only 6 cents and the winner paid a total of 46 cents including the cost of the 2 bids placed. Wow! I would jump with joy if I got a deal like this one, too!
  • On April 27 these cufflinks sold for $1.10 and the winner paid a total of $7.10 including the cost of the 30 bids placed.
  • On April 23 these cufflinks sold for 40 cents and the winner paid a total of $2.60 including the cost of the 11 bids placed.

As we can see from the examples above, we would never be able to get bargain prices this good for a brand new high-quality product by shopping anywhere else. Even second-hand or bargain stores would never give us a better deal.

So shop away every day on DealDash.com so you can win deals like this, too!

Shopping For Summer Sandals

Did you see the cute mid-wedge white summer sandals on DealDash.com?

Warm weather has already arrived in some of the Southern states in our country and it will soon be here in the rest of the country, too. I don’t know much about what kind of weather our new Canadian shoppers are getting, but I imagine warm weather is not far off there either if it has not yet arrived. Regardless, this does appear to be the perfect time of year for all of us ladies to shop for a comfortable pair of stylish summer sandals.

Looking at the reviews of previous winners these sandals are receiving some rave reviews for being stylish, comfortable and sturdy. One customer said they run a little big, so we might want to keep that in mind when shopping for these sandals.

Sandal season is here!

The BIN is $148 but the last winner received a great bargain. These sandals sold at $4.46 and the winner paid a total of $34.46 including the cost of the 150 bids placed. They are made with a pigskin insole and a rubber outsole and they feature a whipstitch detail.

Discovery Box

Other new items I have been seeing on DealDash.com are called a “Discovery Box.” These mystery boxes remind me of something I just loved many years ago called “Grab Bags.” We never knew what was inside until after we bought it, but it was guaranteed that the items inside would add up to be worth as much as the quarter we paid or more. That was so much fun, and I’m sure DealDash shoppers are having just as much fun competing to win a “Discovery Box” filled with many different “mystery” items. At least, we get a clue as to what we will find inside based on the theme given to each “Discovery Box.” For example:

  • Technology–This box has a BIN of $2,318. The mystery items inside have a retail value of that much or more. The first winner of the “technology” box got an outstanding bargain because it sold at $60.59 and the winner paid a total of $185.69 counting the cost of the 777 bids placed. No doubt, that winner is a very happy DealDasher.
  • Beauty–This box has a BIN of $1,040. The mystery items inside have a retail value of at least that much or more. Most likely all of the items found inside the box will have to do with various beauty products. One of the previous winners of this mystery box got one heck of an outstanding deal because on May 12, this “Discovery Box” closed at $8.68 and the winner paid only $26.74 counting the cost of the 112 bids placed.
  • Kitchen & Dining–This box has a BIN of $2,868. The mystery items inside have a retail value of that much or more. On May 13 this auction closed at $76.36 and the winner paid a total of $126.18 counting the cost of the 440 bids placed.
  • Outdoors–This box has a BIN of $1,450. The mystery products inside have a retail value of that much or more. On May 11 this “Discovery Box” sold at $218.71 and the winner paid a total of $247.67 counting the cost of the 1,129 bids placed.
  • Kids Bundle–This box has a retail value of $632. The mystery products inside have a retail value of that much or more. On May 11 this auction closed at $19.89 and the winner paid a total of $23.19 including the cost of the 106 bids placed.

Bottom Line

As you can see from these items above we have many new and exciting products we can shop for and DealDash continues to create new ways to keep this form of shopping fun and exciting. Therefore, if you have not shopped in DealDash.com for a while, you might want to check it out again.

Awesome Product Reviews

Have you ever submitted or read product reviews on DealDash.com?

Whenever we provide a product review we receive 10 free bids, and it’s really quick and easy to do. However, it’s important that we provide honest, fair and helpful reviews because that kind of feedback not only helps us but it helps DealDash know which products we like most.

Giving a DealDash product review helps DealDash..and it helps you too with 10 free bids!

First, we must provide a star rating for shipping, packaging, product quality and whether the product appears to be as described. When giving a star rating for each of these categories, some of the things we should look at are:

  • Shipping – How quickly did we receive the product? Did it arrive within a reasonable length of time from the day we won the product? If shipping was expected to be delayed, did DealDash notify us ahead of time? If a product had delayed shipping through no fault of the company perhaps they should not be marked down for it.
  • Packaging – Did the product arrive in good condition with no damage? Was adequate packing material used and did it arrive in a secure box or package?
  • Product Quality – Was the product made out of high-quality material? Was it as usable or functional as expected?
  • As Described – When we read the description of the product provided, did it accurately describe the product we received? Was it bigger or smaller than expected? For example, if we win a pair of shoes, boots, or sandals, were they too narrow, too wide or just the right size? Was the color of the product as described?

Once we provide a star rating for each of those categories, we are given the opportunity to write a comment about how we felt about the product we won. In other words this is where we can provide a reason for our high or low star rating. This is our opportunity to say what we liked or did not like about the product.

When I read various customers reviews, some of them are very well written and helpful, and some are not. Let me give you some examples of what good reviews look like compared to others that are not:

If a customer writes, “It is okay” that tells us nothing about the product. Lots of items are “okay” but we need to be more specific by writing what is “okay” about it. Is the product “okay” because it meets our needs but maybe we just don’t care for the color of the item that much. Then that’s what we should say.

If a customer writes, “This item runs small,” this is a little more helpful, but just how small might be more helpful. Is the item a full size or two full sizes too small or maybe just a half size smaller than expected?

One customer wrote about a bag that ran smaller than expected, and she gave a specific example by saying, “You could put a small tablet in it but I don’t think you could put a laptop in it.” Now that is an awesome review because it gives us a specific detail of just how much room is in the bag.

If a product is “better than expected,” tell us why you think it’s “better than expected.” Perhaps a bag came with an unexpected shoulder strap, or had more pockets or compartments than expected.

Perhaps a good thing to keep in mind when writing a product review is to ask, “What exactly do I wish I knew about this product before I won it?” If it is “lovely,” what is so “lovely” about it?

DealDash listens to and responds to customer feedback, so the better feedback we give them, the better customer service they give us.

Happy shopping and I’m looking forward to reading more specific and awesome product reviews!
