DealDash Party Planning Tips

DealDash party

Party planning can be fun, exhausting, expensive, and a daunting task, all in one. Let DealDash help you with some party planning tips.

Do you find party planning to be more fun or more stressful? Many people go through the “last minute” school of party planning and have felt the pressure of trying to show everyone a good time. Depending on the type of party you are planning, a little chaos might be a good thing! However, if a fancy dinner party is more your style, then chaotic fun probably isn’t on your agenda.

Pre-Planning

What do I mean by “pre-planning”? Here are the things that you should be thinking about before you really start your party planning.

  • Budget
  • Location
  • Guest list
  • Food/Drink
  • Decorations

Budget

How much are you willing to spend on this party? If you’re having this party for a special person such as a mother or grandmother, consider asking your other siblings or cousins to help you throw this party of offset some of the expense. If you’re doing this all on your own, then you should try to cut costs where you can.

You can help cut costs by bidding on DealDash. You can win things on DealDash that can help you throw your party such as kitchenware, decorations, and more.

Location

Where will you be having this party? If it’s nice weather out, consider having it at a local park or picnic area. That way it will save you tons of time on clean-up. If that’s not an option you can use your home for a smaller party or rent out a room for a larger party. Your local VFW hall or church would be excellent places to start if you’re looking for an affordable party space.

Guest List

Who are you inviting to your party? If it’s a kid’s party be sure to either invite all of the classmates or less than half of the classmates. You wouldn’t want anyone to feel like they are the only person who wasn’t invited to the party! When it comes to inviting relatives to the party, be sure to make a list so you don’t forget Great Aunt Bertha.

Food and Drink

When it comes to refreshments, I say “Keep it simple”. If you’re ambitious and would like to make the food yourself, try using a slow cooker to make meatballs, lasagne, or mac & cheese. If you’re in the market for a new slow cooker be sure to check DealDash. DealDash often has slow cookers up for auction. If you’re not that ambitious, then just order pizzas and call it a day!

Decorations

For an adult’s party, you probably won’t need a huge amount of decorations. Table cloths, flowers, and maybe some streamers are a few choices you might like. For a child’s party it’s better to go all out with balloons, centerpieces, and more!

DealDash Tips for Spring Organizing

DealDash Spring organizing

With Spring upon us, it’s time for not only Spring cleaning but also organizing. Need some tips? Let DealDash help.

Having lots of storage solutions is an important part of having a clean, tidy, and orderly home. You can have a home that’s clean dirt-wise but still cluttered. You just need some storage to get organized! Here are some tips from DealDash for Spring organization.

Toy Organization

As much as I enjoy having my kid’s friends over to play in our playroom, whenever they leave it’s always a big mess! I’d have to say, out of any room in the house, the playroom is messiest. It used to be even messier before I won some organizational storage from DealDash. I was able to win a couple of organizational structures with bins to put toys in, as well as some bookcases. The playroom looks better now, but it would definitely look even better with more storage.

Desk and Office Organization

Having a home office is key if you ever get to work from home. However, many people just don’t have a spare room in their house to dedicate to a home office, especially if you only work from home occasionally. If you have a guest bedroom or a nook area in your kitchen or dining room you can turn it into a nice little home office with a desk and some organizational supplies.

Basement Storage

Do you have a basement? Basements are the perfect place to store things that you don’t use often but need to keep, such as Christmas decorations. DealDash has great organizational solutions for the basement. How about some shelving? These are good for the basement as well as the garage, or in a pantry. These racks are very sturdy and surprisingly can hold hundreds of pounds of weight.

If you put these shelves in the laundry room they would be perfect for storing all of the laundry detergent and fabric softener. You could also keep all of your cleaning supplies on them as well. Make sure that you keep these items on the upper shelves, though, if you have any little children living in your home or tiny visitors.

DealDash Tips for Today

DealDash Tips Today

Stop thinking about the past, live in the present. Here are your DealDash tips for today.

Do you find yourself doing the same old thing over and over again on DealDash? Stop thinking about the past, what worked last year might not work as well today. It’s time to think about implementing some new strategies into your DealDash repertoire. Here are some things that you might want to think about changing up for today and the future ahead.

Number of Bids

Are you throwing a few bids here are there and expecting to win? That might have done the trick a few years ago. I remember bidding on DealDash 3 years ago and winning auctions with 50 bids or less, left and right, all day long. However, I’m sad to say, those days have changed. There is more competition these days, and auctions are harder to win. This means that you can’t just toss out 50 bids and expect to win. You need to think about the auction in depth before you put your bids in, and if you want to be sure that you aren’t losing money then you need to put in enough bids to reach the BIN (But It Now) price.

Free Bids

Though I was lamenting on the past in the paragraph above, the present on DealDash is pretty sweet as well. Even though there is more competition and auctions are harder to win, there are positives as well. DealDash offers more free bids to everyone than ever before. Years ago, you only received free bids by either filling up your bid meter or by posting pictures on Facebook. These days, however, you can get free bids on DealDash by just showing up! That’s right, every day that you show up and bid in an auction DealDash will give you free bids. You can use those bids that day, or save them up for another day. DealDash also now gives away 1,000 every week on Facebook! From DealDash’s Facebook:

Every Monday, DealDash will select the best picture of the previous week and award a 1,000 Bid Pack to the winner. The best picture will naturally be shared to the all the Facebook fans of DealDash. Photos of items valued under $99 are excluded from this weekly contest. – DealDash

New Items

The DealDash of today has more new and interesting items than ever before. The DealDash of a few years ago had a mixture of lower-valued items that you could get at the big box store along with some high-priced electronics. In the past couple of years, though, DealDash has expanded it’s inventory in a big way. There are now some amazing pieces of art and sculpture, clothing, beautiful jewelry, along with the old inventory that everyone knows and loves.
