DealDash Promotion Genius

DealDash Free Auction WinsHave you ever wondered how DealDash comes up with their promotion ideas? I have. If you have not been bidding on DealDash for a while then it may not seem as much fun. To someone like myself who has been bidding for nearly 2 years, I see what promotions are being offered and they are always unique and timely.
This last weekend auctions are free to the winner. This means that an auction may go for more than the card is worth, it could be a $25 card and sell for as much as $26.50 or more. The winner though only pays $.01 to check out their win. What a great offer to their bidders and to a new person, how fun to have to only pay a penny for your win.
On top of the free auction wins, DealDash is also offering the 3X your clock for free bids. Since the clock normally winds down by 10 seconds, it takes 6 bids to get one minute off your free bid clock. With the 3X offer, you get 30 seconds off the free bid clock for every bid you make. This is TRIPLE what you would normally get. What other penny auction sites do this? And, free auction wins too?
I think the creative people at DealDash do an excellent job of keeping bidders on the edge and always interested. The auction items are always something we want, like an iPad, iPhone, flat screen tv’s, and the gift cards are for restaurants and stores all over the USA. I have to give credit where it is due, this site really does do the best job in engaging everybody young and old in trying to win an auction. DealDash has free shipping too so you never pay any more for your auction win than the final price. Great site, great bidding, bids are often on sale, what more could a bidder want? Thanks, DealDash, this works for me!

My Kids LOVE DealDash!!!

My user name on DealDash is loveablenicki. I have 2 young boys Zander 11 and Zack 4. They have grown to love DealDash as much as I do, and now that they know what mommy is doing on there. My 11 year old son loves video games. Every time there is a new video game that comes out he knows he is more likely to get it if DealDash has it than if I have to go to a store. We look them up in the DealDash search and mark them for reminders. DealDash will send me a email every time an auction is coming up so I don’t miss out on the deals. I have won many video games on this web site.

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II for Nintendo Wii valued at $20 for $1.24 is one of many I have won and this is what my 11 year old is into – Star Wars.

Paying It Forward On DealDash

pay-it-forward

Do you ever “Pay It Forward? “ In other words, did you ever purposely allow another DealDash.com customer to win?

I have, especially when it is a new customer trying to get that first win. Remember how difficult it was to win that first auction when you were a new customer and you had not yet developed a winning strategy?
You might think that’s a ridiculous thing to do. After all, we are all bidding because we are “in it to win it” and we all “love to win,” so why “Pay It Forward” to a complete stranger? Ever since I saw the movie “Pay It Forward,” I started doing random acts of kindness. I am sure most of us can think of a time when we were lucky enough to receive help from a stranger when we really needed it. About a month ago, a young couple next to me at a movie theater came up $3 short. I had $3 in my pocket and when I saw the desperate look in their faces, I handed them the $3 and said, “All I ask is that you ‘Pay It Forward’ by helping someone else in need someday.
Likewise, when I am bidding on DealDash and I see from the information in the upper right that my only remaining competition has not yet won an auction, while I already have some wins for the week, sometimes I purposely cancel my remaining bids to let that new customer win. Of course, the customer might never know I did that, but as long as I know it makes my day.
We can all make the world a better place – one person at a time – even while placing bids on DealDash. What is the best reason to purposely allow another customer to win? I say, “Because we can”. We can do random acts of kindness for anyone at any time. Why not do the same on DealDash?

DealDash Bidding Tip: Stay Focused

DealDash Tip Stay Focused

I must admit, the biggest problem I have is patience. Waiting it out is not my forte. One of the best DealDash tips I can give you is to stay focused.

I have lost more auctions by putting a few bids on my Bid Buddy and either walking away to do something or getting involved in my Mahjongg game only to come back a find out I lost the auction. And to add insult to injury, I was the second to last bidder. If only I had stayed focused, I could have at least had a chance. It just happened to me very recently. I was bidding on a Monarch Specialties White Juvenile Chair and Ottoman for my grandson and I plugged in a few bids, walked away, came back to find several other bidders had dropped out and then my bids ran out, making me the next to the last bidder, or the loser!!
Previously I was lucky enough to win a Manual Series 92-inch Projector Screen by Elite Screens for $1.78. I then needed to try for the projector to go with it. Once again I was just 2 away from winning and the projector which sold for $0.91.

Thus I have to try very hard to change how I bid in the future. I need to remain focused and not lose site of what I want in the end – the win! I hope maybe DealDash will add a feature for us “drifters” in the future and add a verbal or noise alert when our bids are about to run out. I know it would help me! Until then I will be more diligent when bidding in the future.

I have been shopping as a DealDash bidder since 9-2012. I have won over 150 auctions. I live in Ohio with my family. Written by Kim Finnegan
