Survive the Holiday Rush on DealDash

It’s no secret that at this time of the year DealDash is hopping with bidders all looking to score the best deals anywhere. It’s sort of like shopping at any major retailer the week leading up to Christmas as shoppers are looking to get their last-minute shopping in. Sometimes this can be frustrating with increased competition. Here are some tips to stay sane and still have fun on DealDash:

Take advantage of bid packs on sale

DealDash is offering some of the lowest prices of the year on bid packs this time of year because they know there are more bidders online. Even if you’re not going to bid while it’s crazy out there, take advantage of the rock-bottom prices on bid packs an stash them away for another day.

Change up your strategy

Are you one of those folks who bids the same way every time? Maybe you bid from the get-go early on and stay the course or drop out after a certain number of bids. Maybe you’re a mid-auction bidder, watch a bit and then jump in when the bidders thin out a bit. Or maybe you’re a dreaded last-minute jumper who waits until there are just a few bidders left to place your first bid. Whichever type of bidder you normally are, try changing up your strategy and see what happens. This was a very difficult thing for me to do at first (I was a bid from the start gal) but after a bit, I got the hang of trying and winning with a different strategy.

Try a day and time that is not normal for you

My philosophy is that if I am free and able to commit myself to a few hours of bidding (maybe it’s a weekend or weeknight), then others will likely be available to do the same. Trying an odd day or time for you might just net some unexpected benefits.

Log in daily for free bids

Even if you’re not planning to bid during the holiday rush season on DealDash, don’t let that stop you from logging in daily to place at least one bid per day to earn up to 30 free bids each day. Putting these bids away to save in your bid bank is a great way to look forward to when you do bid on an item you want!

The best advice on DealDash

The best piece of advice I ever received never gets old. I read it on another bidder’s bio and it read, “Don’t worry—there’s another auction for this item just around the corner!” That little piece of sage advice has gotten me through a lot of tough bidding days. Some days you win, some days you don’t. But one thing still remains true—the item you want will be offered up again in another DealDash auction soon. So don’t lose heart—keep trying to win the items you want!

The holiday shopping rush will be over soon

The great thing about the stress of holiday shopping is that it doesn’t last long. The rush is literally a month from start to finish. Things will soon die down and you’ll be able to get back to bidding and winning with a little less competition.

We all love the holidays and but bidding on DealDash during the holiday season can sometimes be daunting. But take heart and know that when you do get back to bidding, DealDash will be right there where you left off—adding new items and giving bidders great deals every day.

The Clean Machines at DealDash

You may not think to go to DealDash first for your cleaning machines, but they have such a great variety of cleaning devices, I thought I would highlight a few of my favorites, give some comparisons and talk about retail pricing. This is a very popular category at DealDash, it seems everyone wants a new vacuum or a pressure washer.

I am one of those people, I love to shop in this category, between my home and the home of my two adult children, we have a lot of cleaning to do. My favorite win in the “cleaning machine” category is an unbelievable, awesome mop, believe it or not. I love this mop! I will never touch a mop-head again, I’ve had this one for a couple of years now and it’s still like brand new. If ever I needed to replace it, I would go straight to DealDash and win another one. I paid about .45 cents for my first one! I call this a “machine” because it has a spinning feature where you don’t have to touch the mop-head, it spins the water out, you dip in the bucket and then step on the pedal and spin, it’s great because you can use really hot water too! If you don’t like moping the floor, and who does? You need this mop.

Moving on, let’s talk about the elephant in the room, the item I haven’t won. I haven’t really tried very hard, but I have tried a couple of times to win this Panasonic Canister Vacuum, I’ve had a similar vacuum in the past and after a few upright canister vacuums, I’d like to try this style again. I like the idea of having a bag to catch the dust. I also like that you only have to push around the wand and not the entire canister. For those reasons I highlight the canister vacuum as my favorite vacuum choice at DealDash.

For outdoor cleaning the deck, your driveway and your car, this lightweight Karcher K2.26M + T50, with wand and 5 attachments makes your outdoor cleaning easier. This is an item on my wish list, but I haven’t gone for it yet. I’m waiting for just the right moment, defined by who is in the auction, what type of sale DealDash is offering at the time and often, what day of the week it is. I’ll get it, I usually get everything I’ve set out to get one way or another (win or bin). Deal Dash has a really nice selection of Pressure Washers, this is my favorite “around the house” model, but they carry pressure washers all the way up to an $800 professional model. Simply type “pressure washer” in the search bar, select your favorite and bookmark it by clicking the star in the upper right hand corner of the auction or hitting the “Alert Me tab”. DealDash will send you an email a couple of days before it comes on the market, a day earlier and about an hour or two before it goes live, they don’t want you to miss it. I usually set an alarm clock the day of the auction.

These are just a few of my favorite cleaning machines they carry at Dealdash. Tip: this popular category takes patience and perseverance, don’t get discouraged if you don’t win it the first time around, you will, just keep trying. Since this auction will take time, I usually look for it during a Free Sale, this way I’m in for the long haul and when I win, I pay nothing, DealDash picks up the tab. Yes! they do that all the time!

Parlay Free Bids at DealDash

If you are bidding on a budget (and who isn’t) then you have most likely found yourself looking for free bids to play at DealDash. Well, there are some tricks to help you achieve that goal and get yourself a bunch of free bids.

This is what I call the Parlay For Free. Once you’ve won something at DealDash you are eligible to submit a photo to the community at DealDash and they will reward you with 350 free bids. You can find the complete details here.

Once you get your bids I want you to hold onto them until there is a huge bid multiplier sale. Then it’s time to bid. The Bid Multiplier ifs offered quite often and it’s a great opportunity to parlay your free photo bids into more free bids. What the Bid Multiplier does is keep track of your time as high bidder and rewards you with free bids for that time. Once you reach the next “level” you will see the meter gauge light up and you click it to get the bids deposited into your account.

Now play the front end of an auction, the first 50 cents or so. If you don’t win back out, you’ve only used 10 bids and can still win a $150 prize with just a few bids, that is key. This requires patience. You are waiting for new auctions to come on the market. Every new item that is under $200. continue to bid the front end of an auction. You will see many players do this, they are bidding on a budget too.

Because this is a popular bidding style, you will get to know the players in that field and how many bids they are willing to place. Put yourself at the tail end of those bidders while still maintaining you 10-15 bid limit. Often at this point you will be one of two bidders, stay in to win!

This type of bidding isn’t for you if you are in a hurry or if you’re going after bigger ticket items, you can certainly do it with bigger ticket items, but plan on being in longer and using more bids.

So you have your free photo bids, you’re bidding during a high bid multiplier for more free bids and you just won two $150 items, now exchange those prizes for bids. You could have essentially doubled or tripled your free bids into an amount of bids to go for the big prize! Now, if you’re really patient you can save those bids for a Free Wins event and pay only one penny for any win thereby reducing the cost of playing exponentially!

DealDash gives us so much opportunity and I have won some great prizes by using this method. I hope it brings you some insight, now all you need it luck!

DealDash Experience: Donna's Kitchen Makeover

I created a catchy “username”, I purchased my first bid pack and won a couple of auctions right away. When you win, fireworks go off on the computer screen and it’s great fun! Right away I set out to win some kitchen appliances for my new kitchen. The first day I won a Cuisinart Grilling Tool Set & Glove for .01 cent. I had no rhyme or reason to the next bunch of items I won, other than filling my kitchen with quality appliances. I then won the Cuisinart Deep Fryer for $1.38! Every time the fireworks go off, I do my happy dance! You don’t often do a happy dance at the mall, but you sure can in your own living room.

I continued to fill my kitchen with a NJ Croce CL 600 Felix the Cat Wall Clock, which looks adorable on my kitchen wall. I could not believe my lucky stars when I won the Nesco Jerky Express Food Dehydrator for only one penny during one of DealDash’s “Everything is Free” Sale, where all prizes have a final price of Free! You only pay for the bids to win. Well, every kitchen needs a microwave and I set out to win one on DealDash, so 22 bids later and only one penny, I won the RCA Microwave. It was shipped free and it feels like Christmas when the delivery driver arrives with all the boxes!

What kitchen is complete without a coffee maker and can opener? Not mine! But with the help of DealDash I won a Hamilton Beach Extra Tall Can Opener for $2.27 and a Presto Electric 12-Cup Coffee Maker with only 11 bids and one penny! Well, you can’t stop there you will need a Crock Pot Slow Cooler for .04 cents and one of my favorite wins of all times on DealDash is the Hamilton Beach Power Deluxe 4-qt. Stand Mixer, again for only one penny! I love the “Everything is Free Sale” and often focus on winning during these special events held regularly at DealDash.com. You can’t win them all, so I did BIN (buy it now) the Proctor Silex 4-slice Toaster and got the 200 bids used back to try for another item. The winning for my kitchen never ends at DealDash! I also won a Bella Quesadilla Maker for only .67 cents, a Kitchenaid Food Grinder for a penny, a Cuisinart 7 pc. Bake ware set with only 4 bids and my most recent kitchen win is the Cookut Ceramic 11-inck Ecological Wok in Orange…a very fashionable prize valued at $100 for only $2.36! That’s over a dozen prizes total value of about $700.00 which I won for less than $20 and I used about 690 bids altogether.

Every item is delivered Free, there are no service charges, and I always get my item in just a couple of days. I have won an item on Sat. eve and it arrived on Monday by noon! Now that is outstanding Customer Service! The team at DealDash is exceptional, they are always there for you if you have any questions.
