Regular coffee makers or Espresso makers often go up for auction, but the latest coffee machine listed on DealDash will absolutely blow your mind. I would be so thrilled to win something like this. Judging from the large number of DealDash shoppers bidding on this coffee machine it’s an extremely popular item. That’s not a bit surprising when I look at what this machine can do.

History of coffee makers

According to my research, Melitta Bentz invented the first coffee maker in 1873, but it wasn’t until 1908 that she created the first drip coffee maker using a filter she made out of blotting paper. However, there were many other patents and prototypes, too. In 1884, Angelo Moriondo of Turin, Italy, is credited with the first invention of a machine that led to the espresso.

In the United States, the percolator was the most popular way for brewing coffee for home and commercial use for many years. In fact, when I was first married in 1969, I still used to percolate coffee and I miss the wonderful smell of freshly percolated coffee that filled the room. It wasn’t until 1972 that the electric drip coffee maker became popularized by the brand Mr. Coffee in the USA.

The best overall coffee maker for 2022 is listed as the Breville Precision Brew Thermal Coffeemaker; and the best value coffee maker is listed as the Black & Decker 12-cup Programmable Coffeemaker.
