DealDash Power Bidding 101 Tips

DealDash

Many new bidders aspire to be Power Bidders. Here are some tips to get you on your way to becoming DealDash’s newest Power Bidder.

“What is a Power Bidder?” you might ask. A Power Bidder is someone who strives to win each and every auction that they enter, no matter what the cost. Yes, Power Bidders are the people who will bid $40 on a $25 gift card just to prove a point. “Why would I want to do that?” you might ask next. Simple! If can establish yourself as a Power Bidder whose name is fairly well known around DealDash then you can win auctions by just entering them. If you’re a known Power Bidder then many people will drop out of the auction when they see you enter. If you’d like to learn more, then read on.

Buy Lots of Bids (at a Good Price)

If you want to be a Power Bidder then you will need lots and lots of bids. When you first start out attempting to learn how to be a Power Bidder you’ll have to establish a name for yourself by winning many, many auctions. You’ll lose money at first, but once you have shown the other bidders that you mean business and that you’ll bid until you win then other bidders should start to back off when they see you coming.

If you want to establish yourself, however, you’ll want to get your bids as cheaply as possible. You will need to wait until you see the bids on a great sale, then you should buy as many as you can within your budget. The more bids you buy when you see them on a great sale, the fewer bids you will have to buy when they aren’t on a fantastic sale. When you buy bids for the lowest price possible then you increase your bidding power.

Show Up Every Day

Another way to establish yourself as a DealDash Power Bidder is to show up and bid every single day. When you show up every day then the other bidders will get to know your bidding name. When they see your bidding name over and over again, day after day, then they will remember you.

Another added bonus to coming to DealDash every day to bid is that you will receive free bids every day, as well. That’s right, for every consecutive day that you come to bid on DeaDash they will give you free bids. Power Bidder or not, everyone could use free bids! Boost your bidding power by getting free bids from DealDash every day. It’s really a win-win situation!

Terms of DealDash Endearment

Are you familiar with all of DealDash’s terms and abbreviations? If you’d like a little help, read on.

If you’ve been on DealDash for a while, you probably don’t need any help figuring out the terms and abbreviations. However, if you’re new to DealDash, then you might need a little more help and more information. DealDash practically has its own language that you’ll want to do a little research on before you get started. This DealDash blog article is the perfect place to start. Now, who’s ready to learn?

BIN, AKA “Buy It Now”

DealDash is very generous and offers a “Buy It Now” or “BIN” option on every single auction. No matter if the retail value is $20 or $2,000 you can always do a BIN on every auction. Doing a BIN means that you did not win an item in a  DealDash auction, but you may purchase the item for retail value and receive all of your bids back. BIN is something that is a really good idea to do, and it’s a great way to save money. DealDash is the only pay-to-bid site that offers a Buy It Now on all of their auctions. Understand? Now go out and BIN the next auction that you participate in but don’t win.

BidBuddy, Your Partner on DealDash

The term BidBuddy is another very common DealDash word. The BidBuddy is something that you will get to know – it’s DealDash’s automated bidding tool. The BidBuddy is something that you would be wise to use every time that you bid.The BidBuddy is available on every auction, to every bidder, there are no restrictions on it other than the fact that you can’t load it up with more bids than you have in your bid bank to spend. You can use the BidBuddy for free and book as many BidBuddies as you have the bids to do.

The BidBuddy is the best and most consistent way to win auctions on DealDash. The BidBuddy will place bids for you by taking turns with the other BidBuddies that are set in a particular auction. It will place a bid for you in the last 2-3 seconds of an auction. You can place or cancel the amount of bids that you want in the BidBuddy. You are in control when using the BidBuddy on DealDash.

Free Bids and TATHB

Free bids are pretty self-explanatory, however, there are many different ways to obtain them. You can receive free bids from DealDash for a variety of things such as sending in pictures and videos of you and your won items. You can also get free bids for just showing up and bidding. Also, you can collect Time As The Highest Bidder (TATHB), and when your time meter has filled up then DealDash will reward you with free bids. You can also receive free bids for filling out your bidder bio, taking the DealDash tutorial, and by writing product reviews when DealDash requests them.

Tips for Capitalizing on Free DealDash Bids

DealDash

Free bids from DealDash are awesome! How are you going to use them to your advantage?

DealDash offers so many ways to get free bids, it’s amazing. You don’t want to waste those bids even though you got them for free, though. How you use your free bids is just as important as how you use the bids that you paid for – assuming that you want to win as many auctions as possible, that is. And who wouldn’t? Winning auctions and having fun are the best reasons around for using DealDash! Read on for more information.

How Do I Get Free Bids?

There are many different ways to get free bids on DealDash, and you’ll want to learn how to use all of them. After all, how are you supposed to use your free bids wisely if you don’t know how to get them in the first place?! By far, the easiest way to get free bids on DealDash is to simply show up and bid. For every day that you visit DealDash (consecutively) and bid, you will be awarded free bids – from 4 all the way up to 30 per day. Every day that you visit you receive more free bids until you reach the 30 free bid per visit threshold. If you miss a day bidding you get knocked back down to 4 free bids, and you can start again.

Another way to get free bids by bidding is by using the time clock. When you are the highest bidder in an auction you get time on your “time clock” meter that is located at the bottom of your screen. Once this meter has completely filled up you can collect your free bids. Your meter will then go back to zero and you can start again. This is called Time As The Highest Bidder (TATHB), and sometimes there is a multiplier in place so you can get free bids 2x, 3x, and sometimes even 4x faster than normal. There are more ways to get free bids, but these are the easiest.

How Can I Use My Free Bids Wisely?

As I said, it’s important to use your free bids wisely. How you go about that is up to you, however, I do have some suggestions for you.

Definitely, do your research on the items that you’re interested in. DealDash has made it easier than ever to do research on the items that you’re interested in bidding on. DealDash now offers tons of information directly on each individual auction’s page. You can see who won the last auction, when, for how many bids, and for what final price. This is a wealth of information that should make doing research even easier than it was before.

Also, be sure that you are ready to participate in the auction when it starts. That means that you have enough bids in your bid bank to either win or BIN (Buy It Now), you have enough time to devote to the auction, and/or you are willing to let the BidBuddy do your bidding for you when you can’t watch the auction any longer.

DealDash Tips You Wish You’d Known?

DealDash

No one can predict the future. What DealDash tips do you wish that you’d known before you started bidding?

Learning how to use DealDash properly can take a few tries. Reading all of the information that you can get your hands on is a good idea. There are blogs like this one and DealDashBlog.com to get you started off on the right foot. There is also an online tutorial, a help section, and customer service representatives an email away. What DealDash tips do you wish that you had known about before you started bidding? Read on for more information.

You should Use the BidBuddy

The BidBuddy is NOT a requirement to using DealDash. However, you really HAVE to use it if you want to win auctions regularly. Do you want to know why? Because everyone uses the BidBuddy. If you aren’t using the BidBuddy then you are at a disadvantage compared to everyone else who is in the auction.

The BidBuddy is easy to set up and does not cost any additional bids to use. Once you have decided to use the BidBuddy you can put in as many or as few bids as you like. You can cancel it or add more bids at any time. The BidBuddy is available on every auction that DealDash has on its website.

Only Bid on Things You Would Pay to Buy

You might be aware that DealDash offers the BIN (Buy It Now) option on all auctions. If you participate in an auction and don’t win, then you can always BIN (Buy It Now) and get the item, free shipping, and all of the bids back to use on another auction. This means that if you only bid on things that you would definitely buy you will always either win or get all of your bids back when you BIN. I wish that someone had clued me into this tip before I started tossing my bids around on things that I would have “liked” to win, but wasn’t “superdupercrazy excited!!!!” to win.

Don’t Be Intimidated By Other Bidders

When I first started on DealDash, long ago, I was very intimidated by people who had “unfriendly” bidder bios. Now, DealDash doesn’t allow mean or threatening bidder bios, and if you see one you should report it. However, bidder bios that said things like “I will still be bidding after you give up” or “Give up now, I never stop” are allowed, they just aren’t very friendly. When I first started and saw bidder bios like that it made me feel a little intimidated. However, after being on DealDash for many years now, I know that most of the things that people say on their bidder bios are pure fiction. Make sure that you fill out your bidder bio, everyone – and keep it friendly!
