DealDash Tips ~ Bid Conservation

dealdash bids

It seems like some bidders have unlimited bids. For those of us on a budget it’s important to try to conserve our bids.

Do you have thousands of bids in your bid bank on DealDash? It seems that a few bidders have extremely deep pockets and love to purchase and win bids. Since they have so many bids to spend they can outbid most of us regular folks. However, there are plenty of auctions on DealDash that end at a dollar or less. You’ll want to read this article to learn how to conserve your bids for those auctions that are within your price range. Here are some tips on how to use your bids wisely.

Purchase Bids on Sale

This isn’t so much bid conservation as it is good sense! When you see that DealDash is offering a special sale on bids such as .14, .13, or even .12 it’s time to stock up. When you buy bid packs with lower priced bids you get many more bids for your money. Having more bids means you have more to conserve!

Stick to a Budget

Have you looked at your finances and figured out a weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly budget for DealDash bidding? If you haven’t done this yet, you definitely should! There’s nothing worse than entering a longer, more expensive auction and running out of bids in the middle with no money left in your DealDash budget!Don’t use up your entire budget on the first day, decide what you really want to win on DealDash, and save your bids for that item. If you put your entire bid budget on the one item that you really want instead of splitting up the bids on items you aren’t as sure about, then it makes a lot of sense to use the BIN (Buy It Now) option, purchasing the item so you can get all of your bids back.

Search around on DealDash, and see if there are any auctions coming up for items that you were planning on buying anyway such as a kitchen or clothing item. If you were truly planning on purchasing a similar item at the store, then try winning it on DealDash! Personally, if I was planning on buying a certain item anyway, then I don’t count it towards my DealDash budget.

If you put your entire bid budget on an item that you were planning on buying anyway then it makes a lot of sense to use the BIN (Buy It Now) option. When you use the BIN option and purchase the item you will receive all of your bids back. You’ll also receive free shipping!

DealDash Tips to Understand Terms

dealdash word cloud

Are you a little puzzled by some of the terms and acronyms used on DealDash? We’ve gone over these before, but for the newbies who don’t know, let DealDash Tips explain them.

What do all of these strange words that DealDash uses mean? What in the world is a “TATHB”? A “Winner’s Tab?” These words and phrases are a little strange, and I don’t blame you a bit for not understanding what some of these DealDash terms mean. They are easy to understand once you get the hang of it, though! Here are some of the most common DealDash words, phrases, and acronyms that you might see when using DealDash.

BIN/Buy It Now

BIN and Buy It Now mean the same thing. BIN means that you have placed bids in a DealDash auction and didn’t win, but you may purchase the item for retail value and receive all of your bids back. BIN is a very common DealDash word, and you will hear and see it around the site very frequently. DealDash is the only pay-to-bid sites that offer a BIN gurantee.

TATHB/Time As The Highest Bidder/Bid Meter

TATHB is another unique bonus that DealDash offers it’s customers. For every second that you are the highest bidder, you earn time on your Bid Meter. Your Bid Meter is located at the bottom of your screen and fills up when you are the highest bidder. Once your meter is full then DealDash will give you FREE bids.

BidBuddy

The BidBuddy is DealDash’s automated bidding tool. Instead of having to sit in front of your computer for hours, just fill your BidBuddy up with bids and it will bid for you in any auction that you choose. Bidders love the BidBuddy, he’s the only way that you can consistantly win auctions.

Winner’s Tab

The Winner’s Tab is located at the top of your screen. If you click on the tab it will open up a list of every single auction that has taken place, the latest auctions are at the top. You can see what the item was, who won the item, when they won it, and the final auction price. This tab is extremely handy when trying to figure out what price an auction might end at, and who has recently won auctions.

Tips from DealDash for Great Pics

dealdash pic tips

Taking great pictures is an important skill to have, especially if you want to win 1,000 bids from DealDash in the weekly contest.

Have you been entering the DealDash photo contest to win 1,000 bids? This is a contest that happens every week, and the winners are always ecstatic to win. That’s about $150 in free bids! DealDash has this contest weekly as a “thank you” to their loyal customers. Read on for some ways to improve your chances to win by taking excellent pictures.

How’s Your Lighting?

One of the key aspects for taking a great photo of yourself is to be sure that your lighting is adequate. You’ll want to Be sure that there is excellent lighting in your home, or take your item outside to take the pictures. Make sure that the light is focused onto you and the item, and that there are no shadows covering you. However, having natural light is best so waiting for a nice bright day might work in your favor.

Have a Backdrop

Another way to make your wins really “pop” is to set up a backdrop. This doesn’t have to be anything expensive or complicated, even just hanging a plain neutral colored sheet behind you would do the trick. Try using gray, cream, or beige for the best pictures.

After you have taken your photo of yourself with your win navigate to the DealDash Facebook page which is here, and “Like” it. Then you can post your picture to get free bids. Here are the instructions from DealDash detailing the instructions how to get free bids from Facebook:

1. Select an item you have won on DealDash to feature in the photo.

2. Take a high-quality photo clearly showing yourself and the item you won.

3. Send your best-looking photo to [email protected] and add a description which should include the following information: the item name, retail price, how much you paid for the item and a personal comment about the win as well. For example: “I got this $879 flatware set on@DealDash. I paid just $9.02 and used 109 bids! Thanks DealDash, they look nice in my kitchen”

4. In the end of the caption, please include the following sentence and the link (See the picture below):

See the Official Rules

You can see all of these instructions and guidelines on the DealDash Facebook page here.

And the Unofficial Rules

Other than great lighting, here are a few other tips to help you take great photos of yourself and your DealDash wins:

  • Take the item out of the packaging so it’s easier to see.
  • If the item needs to be put together, like a bike, then do that before taking the picture.
  • If it’s a small item hold it up close to your face.
  • If it’s a larger item such as exercise equipment try to get someone else to take the picture for you so you can either sit on it or crouch down so you and the item are on the same level.
  • Make sure that your pics are CLEAR! There’s nothing worse than a blurry out of focus dark picture where you can barely even tell what the item is that you are trying to display.

Don’t Do These DealDash Mistakes

DealDash MistakesAre you making common mistakes that are costing you DealDash wins? Here are some tips from DealDash on how to avoid costly mistakes.

Beginners and experts alike make mistakes on DealDash sometimes. Most of these mistakes can be avoided by paying attention and bidding carefully. Let DealDash show you how to recognize some common mistakes so you can get all of the wins that you can.

Mistake One

One of the common mistakes that people tend to make on DealDash is not waiting for a great sale on bids! What is the bid price today? Is it more than .13? If so, then I wouldn’t buy bids unless I was totally and completely out. Of course, running out of bids is a mistake in itself that we will cover down below. Paying too much for bids is definitely a mistake that is 100% preventable, especially if you are a frequent visitor of this blog, DealDashTips.com because we frequently let you in on bid prices when there is an especially good sale going on.

Mistake Two

As mentioned above, running out of bids in the middle of an important auction is common mistake number two. This is a really silly mistake that could end up costing you a lot of money if you get involved in a long and/or high-value auction. If you were paying attention above, you should know that you need to buy DealDash bids when they are on sale. You should also know that the optimal price to pay for these bids is around .14.

How do you know how many bids to buy, though? The simple answer is, of course, to buy the biggest bid pack that you can fit into your budget when the bids are at the optimal price. If you would like to be more specific, though, think about the price of the most expensive thing that you might want to bid on in the near future.

Once you have that dollar amount in mind, then buy the bid pack that is closest to that amount. If that amount isn’t available to buy as a bid pack then combine as many bid packs in whatever configuration that you need to reach that amount. See, easy!

Mistake Three

The third mistake is not taking advantage of the fact that DealDash offers many “regular” items that you probably buy on a regular basis for your household. If DealDash is offering an item that you were planning on buying from a Big Box store anyway, why wouldn’t you try to win it on DealDash instead? This way, if you win you save some money, and if you BIN (Buy It Now) you will get your item, the “clock time” that you earned while bidding, and free shipping as well. Do a search on DealDash and set alerts for items that you regularly buy for your household, and DealDash will send you a quick email when these items come up for auction. This way you won’t make a DealDash mistake and miss out!
