Tips to Make Your DealDash Bidding the Best

DealDash

You should always strive to be the best at anything you do, including DealDash bidding. Here are some tips to be the best!

What would you consider yourself “the best” at doing? Maybe you’re the best cook, the best driver, or the best at sports – but are you the best bidder? The verdict is out on who the absolute best bidder is. That’s a good thing, it means that you’re still in the running! Here are some tips and tricks from DealDash to make sure that you are on your way to being the best DealDash bidder out there. Read on to find out more.

Act Like the Best Bidder

If you waltz into an auction acting like a newbie, then the other bidders are going to treat you like a newbie. How are they able to tell if you are a newbie or a seasoned DealDash bidder? Easy! If you enter an auction and you are bidding all over the place without using your BidBuddy, then they are going to know that you don’t know what you’re doing. Trust in the BidBuddy. If there are 5 people in the auction and you’re placing single bids after each bidder instead of using the BidBuddy, then you’re wasting money. The BidBuddy only bids if no one else has placed a bid. It will take turns bidding with the other BidBuddies until there are no more bids.

Buy Bids Like the Best Bidder

Does the best DealDash bidder buy bid packs when the bids are .18 per bid? No way! The best DealDash bidder buys bids when they are at their lowest prices, such as .12, .13, or .14. Buying a large bid pack when the bid prices are low can help you be the best bidder because you will have MUCH more buying power if you pay lower prices for bids. Here’s an example:

Bob wants to win a necklace for his wife. The necklace has a retail price of $100. Bob bought his bids at .18, so he puts 555 bids into his BidBuddy, which would equal the $100 BIN (Buy It Now) price.

Jennifer also wants to win the necklace, however, she bought her bids on a super sale holiday last month when they were .12. Jennifer can put 833 bids on the necklace for the same price that Bob put 555 bids. Who do you think is going to win?

The moral of the story is when bids go on sale for less than .15 you should really stock up for the future. You’re going to use the bids, why not buy in bulk and have them in your bid bank for when you need them?

DealDash Tips You Need Now

DealDash

Do you know everything there is to know about DealDash? Probably not – there are always things to learn. Here are some DealDash tips that you need to know about now.

If you’re a regular bidder on DealDash, you are probably aware that things change and evolve on a regular basis. DealDash has been going strong since February of 2009, and things are so different now than they were in the beginning. Things are never stale and stagnant on DealDash! With all of the different changes that have happened on DealDash over the years, it’s important for you to keep up with the tips, tricks, and suggestions that the DealDash Tips blog offers. Here are some tips that you need to keep in mind right now.

Check DealDash Every Day – Things Change Quickly

Personally, I am guilty of forgetting to check in on DealDash every day if I have a busy day with my kids. Unfortunately, that’s bad for me, because not only do I miss out on seeing what prices the bids are on those days, but I also miss out on FREE DealDash bids for bidding.

Yes, that’s right, DealDash gives you free bids every single day for just stopping by and placing a few bids. Does that sound too good to be true? Yes, I admit that it does sound too good to be true – but it IS TRUE. DealDash will give you free bids for coming by on consecutive days and bidding. You start off with a few free bids, and you can work your way up to 30 free bids for just coming by and bidding on consecutive days. It’s so easy, and I have won many auctions for 30 bids or less in my years on DealDash.

Use Your Best Judgement

Sometimes you’re in an auction and you know that you aren’t going to win. What should you do? Here are a few options to choose from:

  1. Keep bidding until you win, no matter what. AKA Power Bidding.
  2. Stop bidding, close your computer, and feel sad about your lost bids.
  3. Stop bidding, and do a BIN (Buy It Now) on the auction.

Personally, I would do Option # 3 – Stop bidding, and do a BIN (Buy It Now) on the auction. Are you familiar with the concept of BINning an auction? Simply put, it means that you purchase the item that you were bidding on for the regular retail price, and DealDash will give you back all of the bids that you spent. Sounds like a great deal, right? That’s right! It’s a great DealDash Deal. Take advantage of it, it’s available on every auction to every person who placed bids.

Common Sense DealDash Tips

dealdash word cloud

Some things on DealDash are just common sense. Don’t overcomplicate things! Just follow these simple tips.

DealDash doesn’t have to be an ultra-complicated task or chore. DealDash should be fun and enjoyable for you and your family and friends. Use common sense, think before you act, and follow these simple and easy DealDash tips so you can win more auctions easily and fast, without spending too much money.

Set Some Alerts

The easiest way to know when your favorite items are coming up for bid on DealDash is to set an alert. Setting an alert on DealDash is simple and easy. It just takes a minute to set up an alert. Just do a search for your coveted item, then you can either hit the “Alert Me” button on the main page, or you can open up the individual auction. Once you have opened up the individual auction, you can read more information about the item. Then you can set the alert directly on the auction’s page using the “Alert Me” button. When the item that you are interested in will be coming up for bid DealDash will send you a quick email to let you know. Once you get that email you can click on the link inside and it will take you to the upcoming auction.

Don’t Forget Your Buddy

The BidBuddy is your best pal when it comes to winning auctions. He’s really the only way to consistently win in any DealDash auction. Unfortunately, loading up the BidBuddy with bids and walking away doesn’t always guarantee you a fireworks display and congratulations banner. You can always load up the BidBuddy to the BIN (Buy It Now) price and leave it alone if you like. A better idea, though, is to keep a lookout on your BidBuddy and keep adding and removing bids as you see fit. It’s a good way to save your bids and appear active in the auction, which can sometimes scare people away.

DealDash Tips: Abbreviations Explained

DealDash

DealDash is easy to use but has some abbreviations that can be a little confusing for the first-time user. Here is a list of some of the common DealDash abbreviations and phrases.

When you think of a community you think of people who are similar in one way or the other, right? Maybe they live near each other, have the same hobbies, or a common background. DealDash is its own community with like-minded individuals who love deals and the thrill of an auction. And with any community, DealDash has it’s own little lingo, phrases, and abbreviations that other people might not understand at first. Here are some of the more common ones, from DealDash Tips blog.

No Jumper $3 or $5

DealDash auctions have a $3 or $5 No Jumper limit. This means that you have to get at least one bid in the auction before the auction reaches $3 or $5. The auctions are typically a $5 No Jumper, but there are days here and there that DealDash lowers the limit to $3. These are very popular days to bid. It will be marked very clearly on the main auction home screen when DealDash changes it to a $3 No Jumper instead of $5.

Buy It Now (BIN) the Auction

BIN, or Buy It Now is the most popular abbreviation that we will ever talk about on any of the DealDash blogs. BIN simply means that you have lost the auction that you have been bidding in and are willing to buy it for the retail price and receive all of your bids back from DealDash. You also get the luxury of free shipping as well, with tracking. The tracking doesn’t apply to gift cards, but to all other purchases with BIN, even the smallest or cheapest. After you have decided that you are going to BIN the auction that you have been participating in, then just hit the “Buy It Now” button that you will see either in your dashboard or on the auction’s page if the auction is still live. Once you have paid then the bids will be refunded immediately.

BookMarking an Auction

DealDash has so many auctions it’s hard to remember which auction is coming up. However, DealDash has come up with an easy way to remember what you wanted to bid on. When you are on DealDash and see an item that is coming soon you can bookmark it. Click your mouse on the small outline of a star in the upper corner on the right-hand side of the auction and you have bookmarked yourself an auction. The little star will turn solid, and the auction is now pinned to your DealDash home page.
