Buy It Now, BIN & Binning at DealDash

So you love to bid, bid, bid!  It’s fun and exciting especially when you win! The fireworks are awesome! But if you don’t win at DealDash you can Buy It Now (BIN) and DealDash will give you all the bids you used trying back to try and win another item.

You can purchase an item you’ve bid on for up to one week after you don’t win it.  If you go to your Dashboard, you will find a list of all your items right on the front page.  You can also find the item in your bidding history, both places will tell you how many bids will be returned to your account if your BIN.  It’s simple, make the purchase and the bids are automatically loaded into your account.

The way to figure out how many bids to use before you BIN is to take the retail value of the item listed on the DealDash site and divide it by the cost of the bids when you purchase it.  That will result in the number of bids to use before you back out and buy it.

For example, you love this toaster, it’s a popular item, but it will still go for a fraction of the retail price, but you want to be sure you give the auction all the benefit of the doubt and load up on the BIN amount of bids. Let’s say the toaster retails for $89.00 and bids are .15 cents each.  Your calculation will look like this 89./.15=593 bids.

You don’t want to exceed that number of bids because you would then be paying more than retail.  Chances are very good that no one else will place 593 bids on the auction and you will win it for much less, but if you don’t, you have Binning to fall back on.

This is a wonderful gift from DealDash, they really care about the bidding experience on their site, and they really want their players to win.  It doesn’t please them to have you go away empty-handed, you have to win or BIN.  Either way, you have your item!  If you bought it you have your bids back too!  Win-Win!

Good Luck and Happy Bidding!!!

Tools for Every Job from DealDash

Black & Decker Cordless Lithium Ion 4-Tool Kit $205
Black & Decker Cordless Lithium Ion 4-Tool Kit $205

There are quite a few items you can win to help you spruce up your house this Summer, Deal Dash has so many repair tool items they have a special category for just that!  You can also type the title of an item you want directly into the search bar and you will find all they have to offer. They carry tools for many trades, if you are a homemaker or a carpenter, mechanic or artist, they carry great tools for you.

Tools can be a tricky category to bid in, the main reason being, everyone needs tools.  They are a popular item for players to bid on; a fan favorite!  I would suggest trying for the unusual items in this category to win.  For example, if you are getting the tools for a woman, you can select the pink tool set.  There will be less people in the auction, because not as many people want pink tools.  Also, if something is coming on the market in the middle of the night, you might set an alarm and then load up your Bid Buddy and go back to bed.  Your Bid Buddy will do your bidding for you.  You can load bids into your Bid Buddy prior to an auction, but at times if all the players are stomping the first $5 of bids, this won’t create a void for your bid to be placed, so it’s best to get into the auction manually. I’ve won a lot of auctions doing this.  It’s important to shop ahead 24 hours at a time.

Because tools are an item everyone needs, you will find many players will Buy It Now (BIN), which means you purchase the item if after you try to win it.  When you are in an auction with 5 players and they all BIN, you would multiply the BIN amount of bids by the number of players, that is what it will take to compete.  “Binning” is the best alternative to winning, if you place enough bids to have purchased an item, but did not win, DealDash will give you all your bids back if you do purchase the item.  For example, let’s use this Essentials 53-pc Around the House Tool Kit.

Essentials 53-pc Around the House Tool Kit $36
Essentials 53-pc Around the House Tool Kit $36

To plan on Binning, divide the price of the item with the cost of the bids, your answer is how many bids to use to BIN.  $36./.15=240 bids. This seems like a lot of bids for this item and I believe it will go for a couple of dollars, so chances are good you could win under 240, but if  you don’t you can purchase it and get your bids back. That’s the DealDash promise, you never have to go away empty-handed! Once you reach BIN, stop, do not over bid, it defeats the purpose of getting a good deal.  Keep in mind every item is delivered free, so you will save even more.  Shopping at DealDash is all about entertainment and getting a great deal.  When you need some tools, head over to DealDash, get a great deal and have some fun!

DealDash Bids all Weigh the Same

There is one thing for sure, bidding at DealDash is so much fun and there are so many prizes to win. But when you are bidding, it’s not a bad idea to think about the weight of the bids.

You can win a toaster with about 25 bids, or you can win a $2500 piece of art with the same 25 bids.  It takes time and patience to win a big ticket item with 25 bids, but it’s possible and happens often.  You should not go into an auction after being here for one day and expect to win a big art prize right away because it takes some knowledge, along with a bunch of luck.

Here are a few important things to remember when you are bidding on high ticket items and you’re trying to win it with only a few bids.  First, and this is the most important, if you don’t win it in 25 bids, like you planned, you need to back out.  That’s the plan, you want to win with 25 bids, right?

There is always another prize exactly like this one or one that is very similar in value and quality right around the corner, so don’t waste any more bids trying to win an item you may never win.  Be warned, you can go through a dozen auctions losing every one with just 25 bids, or you might be the one who one the $3000 prize with a few bids.  It is a strategy and it’s played everyday by many.

You can go for a toaster and possibly win, but what if you went for the art and won that? You spent the same amount of bids and won a much larger prize.  This type of bidding is not for the faint of heart,  you MUST be prepared to lose bids and not “win them all” but the rewards are much greater when you do.  It’s all about the odds.

This is a game that many “old timers” and “seasoned pros” use, but again, they will be more willing to stay in an auction until every bid of a BIN is used.  These are the hard core shoppers who plan on winning for the retail value.  But this article is about winning with nothing.

You have to be willing to back out if you want to win with a few bids, you need to grow that thick upper skin and say good bye, it’s not as easy as you might think.  The second most important thing about this type of bidding is to know the other players, if you don’t you may be involved in an auction where this player is just not going to back out….ever.

The third thing I can share about “bidding on the 25” is you may not get these bids back.  If you are in 10 auctions and have 25 in each , you will run out of bids quickly. Shop ahead of time, know what you’re going for and stick to the plan! That is an important piece of the puzzle.

So, if you want to win your item with 25 bids, 1. don’t bid over 25 bids in an auction, 2. Don’t overbid on an item when there is another one right around the corner. hint: the second one will most likely go for less that the first, a phenomenon I’ve noticed. 3. Go for a toaster or a high value piece of art, but know the competition so you make an educated decision.  4. Be willing to lose the bids, this is about fun, competition and winning for a few pennies.  You might….or you might not.  But I can say that I have won nearly 600 auctions, I have been there, done that, and I drew the map.  I’ve learned how to walk away and that takes guts.

In just the past 30 days, I’ve won 23 auctions with less than 30 bids.

Good Luck and Happy Bidding!!!
