Be a Happy Camper with DealDash

If you’re family is like my family, you all love camping.  It was our favorite vacation as our children grew up, and living in New England, we never had to go very far.  There were many mini vacations.  The hardest part of the trip was traveling all over the state to find camping equipment before we went.  Thankfully, with DealDash, I no longer have to drive around to get what I need.  It saves me so much hassle!

Ozark Trail 4-Person Tunnel Tent $112

What camping trip would be complete without a tent?  I’ve won tents at DealDash for just a few dollars.  I also “Binned” a tent once.  When you BIN (Buy It Now) DealDash will give you any bids used trying to win it back.  So, let’s say you decided to bid on a tent and you bid and bid, but to no avail, 300 bids later, you didn’t win, simply click the Buy It Now Tab on the auction page or in your Dashboard, and poof! the bids are returned to you!  DealDash never wants you to go away empty-handed, and they want you to come back, so it’s a great plan and we all get what we want.

Coleman LED Lantern $27

If you want to rack up the BIN amount of bids and leave the Bid Buddy to do your bidding for you, it’s the best and easiest way to win.  Now, to figure out how many bids to put in the Bid Buddy take the cost of the item divide by the cost of the bids and you will have the number of bids to put in the Bid Buddy.  Let’s use the Coleman Lantern above, $27./.15=180 bids.  Don’t overbid, if you use all 180 bids, your best deal would be by purchasing it for bids back.  You’ll have the item and your bids back.

DuroMax Dual Fuel Generator $606
DuroMax Dual Fuel Generator $606

I can’t stress enough how much the Bid Buddy feature helps you win auctions, you don’t over bid and you earn consistent free bids with the Free Bid Meter.  It’s so simple to load the Bid Buddy, just open the auction from the main page, then see the “add bids here” and “Book a Bid Buddy” place the desired amount of bids in the space and then click on the “Book a Bid Buddy”.  Bid Buddy will now bid for you in order that you joined the auction, if there are 8 players, your Bid Buddy will deposit a bid for you after 7 of them, so every 8th bid is yours.

During the bidding process you will earn free bids from DealDash just for bidding, every time you place a bid there is about 9 seconds until Bid Buddy places the next bid, during this time you are “high bidder” during Time As High Bidder , you earn time toward reaching your next level.  When you have accumulated enough time to reach the next level your meter will light up blue and all you have to do is click on it and you’ll get your free bids.  In the beginning, you get 50’s-100’s of bids but after time, you get thousands, I am at level 86 and when I reach level 87 I’ll get 1080 bids!  It’s really beneficial to use Bid Buddy.

Good Luck and Happy Bidding!!!

DealDash Bids all Weigh the Same

There is one thing for sure, bidding at DealDash is so much fun and there are so many prizes to win. But when you are bidding, it’s not a bad idea to think about the weight of the bids.

You can win a toaster with about 25 bids, or you can win a $2500 piece of art with the same 25 bids.  It takes time and patience to win a big ticket item with 25 bids, but it’s possible and happens often.  You should not go into an auction after being here for one day and expect to win a big art prize right away because it takes some knowledge, along with a bunch of luck.

Here are a few important things to remember when you are bidding on high ticket items and you’re trying to win it with only a few bids.  First, and this is the most important, if you don’t win it in 25 bids, like you planned, you need to back out.  That’s the plan, you want to win with 25 bids, right?

There is always another prize exactly like this one or one that is very similar in value and quality right around the corner, so don’t waste any more bids trying to win an item you may never win.  Be warned, you can go through a dozen auctions losing every one with just 25 bids, or you might be the one who one the $3000 prize with a few bids.  It is a strategy and it’s played everyday by many.

You can go for a toaster and possibly win, but what if you went for the art and won that? You spent the same amount of bids and won a much larger prize.  This type of bidding is not for the faint of heart,  you MUST be prepared to lose bids and not “win them all” but the rewards are much greater when you do.  It’s all about the odds.

This is a game that many “old timers” and “seasoned pros” use, but again, they will be more willing to stay in an auction until every bid of a BIN is used.  These are the hard core shoppers who plan on winning for the retail value.  But this article is about winning with nothing.

You have to be willing to back out if you want to win with a few bids, you need to grow that thick upper skin and say good bye, it’s not as easy as you might think.  The second most important thing about this type of bidding is to know the other players, if you don’t you may be involved in an auction where this player is just not going to back out….ever.

The third thing I can share about “bidding on the 25” is you may not get these bids back.  If you are in 10 auctions and have 25 in each , you will run out of bids quickly. Shop ahead of time, know what you’re going for and stick to the plan! That is an important piece of the puzzle.

So, if you want to win your item with 25 bids, 1. don’t bid over 25 bids in an auction, 2. Don’t overbid on an item when there is another one right around the corner. hint: the second one will most likely go for less that the first, a phenomenon I’ve noticed. 3. Go for a toaster or a high value piece of art, but know the competition so you make an educated decision.  4. Be willing to lose the bids, this is about fun, competition and winning for a few pennies.  You might….or you might not.  But I can say that I have won nearly 600 auctions, I have been there, done that, and I drew the map.  I’ve learned how to walk away and that takes guts.

In just the past 30 days, I’ve won 23 auctions with less than 30 bids.

Good Luck and Happy Bidding!!!

DealDash: Pop in One Bid

There are a lot of different playing strategies at DealDash, but the most popular one is to simply place one bid before $5.  Many, many players do this and never come back.  I never used to do it, but now I’ve realized there is some good that comes from this activity.

The players who do come back after $5 usually come in late and out bid all the front end players, they’re called “Jumpers”  and  there is really little chance  to beat them with bids if you’ve already use all 500 of your bids and they just entered, but you can out-wit, them because you placed a bid too in a different auction they are in.  You don’t have to enter an auction to win, you can just be there to shake things up.  I have been in auctions and had no intention of “staying in for the long haul” but I did want to see if I can scare someone out of an auction, and it works!

This is something that the jumper doesn’t consider.  They come in late and stay late, they expect everyone to leave and let them win.  Well, if you poked in one bid, you can be that person.  This is what is known as “if you can’t beat them, join them”.

I never do this to players who have been in an auction all along, but if someone jumps me, I will seek them out in another auction and play the other auctions they are in to scare them away. It works, often they will jump out of the auction they jumped into because I just jumped them in a different auction.  This is not an activity for the faint of heart, and by that I mean, if you don’t have a lot of bids to burn, don’t stay in long, just long enough to see if there is any movement.  Hey, maybe you’ll scare someone else away and win that way.  That wasn’t the plan, but I’ve seen it happen!

So what I’m suggesting is, if you are constantly being jumped, be a faint-of-heart jumper!  The reason I say faint-of-heart I truly believe it’s mean to jump people all the time, I don’t do it to anyone who doesn’t do it to me.  So if  you are a jumper, you might win more if you weren’t.

Any way you get it done, Good Luck and Happy Bidding!!!
