DealDash Doesn’t Tease! Try These Tips

If you haven’t used DealDash yet, you’re in for a treat! DealDash doesn’t tease, they always deliver!

Have you ever seen ads for some of the other auction sites? They make big promises, but when you actually use them they are really just a tease? For example, they might offer big prizes on the ad, but when you actually get there it’s all low-value items? Well, with DealDash, you’re not going to have that problem. And here’s why.

When you see the ads for DealDash on TV, you see TVs, iPads, and high-end kitchen mixers, correct? Well, when you go to DealDash to bid, you will see all of those items and many more. There are so many awesome things on DealDash, that it can be hard to choose what to bid on. The good thing is, you don’t have to choose! You can enter as many DealDash auctions as you like, as long as you have bids in your bid bank.

Absolutely No Bots

There are no bots on DealDash bidding with the real players. The only time that you will encounter anything other than a human opponent is when real people like you are using their BidBuddies. The BidBuddy is a simple tool that you can use to bid on auctions when you aren’t at your computer. You just put in the number of bids that you want to spend, and the BidBuddy will bid with them until you have either won or run out of bids. You can cancel or add more bids at any time.

The only other time that you will see a non-human bidding is when you take the DealDash tutorial. The tutorial is located in the “Help” section located on the main page at the bottom. In the tutorial, you will be bidding against a computer to show you how to use DealDash. It will not use any of your real bids. You might even earn a few free bids for taking the tutorial, give it a try!

Bidding Digital Cameras from the March 3rd Blog

The theme of March 3rd’s blog was all about how to get a great digital camera on DealDash. The top tip of that blog was to decide which type of digital camera you will be bidding on when using DealDash. Here is a great tip from that blog:

“ The point and shoot camera is the easiest type of digital camera to use. This is the type of digital camera that you will want to get, especially if you plan on letting any kids use it. Yes, they really are easy enough that a child can use it! Just turn it on, and take pictures!”

 Filling an Easter Basket from the March 4th Blog

The blog on March 4th was regarding tips for items to put in Easter baskets. There were ten excellent suggestions, some for kids and some for adults. Theresa had some creative ideas in this blog, but my favorite was the idea to put gift cards in the basket. This is a solution perfect for any age or interest. From that blog:

“Sign-in to the home page of DealDash.com. Locate an auction you want to win. Double-click on that auction. A new window will open. That’s where you will find BidBuddy. We are free to place as many bids as we want in the blank space provided, as long as we do not go over the number of bids remaining in our account.”

DealDash Tips: Don’t Forget to Bid!

Have you ever seen an item on DealDash and thought “I gotta have that!” but then you forget to come back and bid on the item? That is so frustrating! Here are some tips from DealDash to prevent that from happening again.

Picture it, you are browsing around on DealDash and see the perfect item for your home, family, or friend. You think to yourself “I’ll come back later when the bidding is open on this item. Then you walk away and forget about the item. Later you think “Oh no!! I missed that auction!!” I can’t even tell you how many times that has happened to me over the years. It’s a really frustrating experience that doesn’t have to happen to you again! DealDash has implemented a few handy ways that you can prevent this from happening again.

Alerts for the Future

If you have been browsing for something special in an upcoming auction and you spot the item of your dreams it would be a shame to miss out on it. However, if the item isn’t scheduled yet, then you have run into a pickle since you can’t set a BidBuddy for an item that doesn’t have a scheduled start time.

No problem, ladies and gentlemen! DealDash has something called “Alerts” that you can set for the future. You can set an alert for anything in the DealDash product catalog that there isn’t currently an auction scheduled to start soon. Search for anything that you would like or need, and click on the picture when it comes up. If there isn’t an auction scheduled for that item in the near future you will see a little button that says “Alert Me”. Just click that button and DealDash will send you an email when they have scheduled an auction that that item, and then again when it is about to start. I have set alerts for a few things over the years that I ended up with such as my “no touch” stainless garbage can and my automatic cat box. I love the alerts feature because I have a terrible memory!

Bookmarking for the Present

Bookmarking is more for when you are browsing the auctions for the next few hours. If you are on the main page of DealDash you can look ahead for the next 24 hours or so. Bookmarking is so you can remember where an auction is that is starting soon so you don’t need to search for it again. You can bookmark any auctions that you see that have a starting time. If you’re not sure if you want to book a BidBuddy for a particular auction or not, then bookmarking is your next best plan. Simply click the star in the upper right corner, and the auction will be moved to your home page where the active auctions are.
