Did you see the new delightful St. Patrick’s Day bid packs on DealDash.com? They display a leprechaun’s cap, a shamrock and pot of gold, and they come in packs of 138, 392, 482, 853 and 9234.
I always like seeing the new bid packs to help celebrate various events because it gives us more opportunities to win more bid packs. DealDash is also still celebrating its 15-year anniversary for being the longest-running penny auction site online.
One way DealDash celebrates special events is by adding several new auction products and by offering various special features or even a combination of more than one feature at the same time. To ensure that I don’t miss out on any of these special features on DealDash I usually open this shopping site at least once every day.
Let’s take a closer look at one of the newest auction items.
Environmentally Friendly Candle Set
The auction description of the new auction set of 4 environmentally-friendly ceramic candles are apparently environmentally-friendly. They come in 6.4 ounce ceramic jars, and each candle has a burn-time of 45 hours. This auction have a BIN of $144.
Regardless of how many candles we might already have, these candles are unlike all others. They come in decorative reusable ceramic jars that depict colorful fall leaves and they smell like goji, berry, mango and orange. But that’s not the only thing that makes these candles unique.
According to the auction description, these candles consist of “sustainability sourced ingredients” to keep the “home and planet happy.” These candles are made with RSPO Certified Palm Wax and use no synthetic dyes, no parabens, no phthalates, and use 100 percent organic cotton wicks. They do contain essential oils.
A brief history of St. Patrick’s Day
St. Patrick’s Day, which is celebrated March 17, commemorates St. Patrick and the arrival of Christianity in Ireland. It also celebrates the heritage and culture of Ireland in general. Celebration of St. Patrick, the patron saint of Ireland who was born in the 4th Century, first started in 1631 when the church established a Feast Day in St. Patrick’s honor. Patrick was raised in a Christian home but he was not Roman Catholic and knew very little about God when he was young. Leprechaun’s are part of Irish folklore and has more to do with Irish culture.
According to my research, some interesting facts about St. Patrick are:
- He was not actually Irish (Patrick was from Wales).
- Patrick was not his original name (His real name was Maewyn Succat).
- Paddy was the original shortened version for Patrick. Patty is a shortened version of Patricia.
- At age 16 Patrick was kidnapped by a group of Irish pirates and they brought to Ireland as a slave (he tended sheep in Ireland for 6 years before he escaped).
- He studied a lot about Christianity in Europe.
- He claimed to have seen visions and heard voices.
- Green was not the color he wore, and
- He wrote two short works.
The bottom line
