Dealdash Bid Buddy, Bid Buddy, Use It!!

“Bid Buddy, Bid Buddy, Use it People” that is a very common comment on DealDash because any player who has been around for awhile knows the best way to win is to use your Bid Buddy.

The Bid Buddy is a fantastic tool created and provided by DealDash for us to bid fairly. When you use the Bid Buddy feature it places bids for you in order of entry to the auction. Some people choose not to use the Bid Buddy, usually beginners, and they waste bids because they are essentially overbidding by placing a bid in between each other player. The players using Bid Buddy are simply watching you and saving money and increasing their opportunity to win.

What you need to do to set up the Bid Buddy is first, find an auction you are interested in entering and click on it, when you do the site will bring you to the link for that individual auction, here you can set up the Bid Buddy. Second, in the center of the page there is a tab that says, “Bid Buddy- Your Automatic Bidding Tool” there you place in the desired number of bids you wish to place on the item, be sure you have enough bids to cover your win, and then click on “Book a Bid Buddy”.

Now you can sit back and relax or get up and go about your business, but be sure to check back periodically to make sure you have enough bids, often it will get down to two players and if you’re one of them your bids will get eaten up fast so beware!

The Bid Buddy is the best way to win an auction, I don’t bid manually at all anymore, if I do it’s just until the Bid Buddy page opens. I use the Bid Buddy even if I’m only going to put in 5 bids, which I do often. Early in the auction players can, at times, just be placing one bid a a time and if they lose track in only a few bids, it’s crazy but you could win with just a couple of bids if you’re in the Bid Buddy System.

The best thing you can do for yourself and your fellow players is to use the Bid Buddy. Every player will eventually use only the Bid Buddy feature for bidding because they will win the most auctions that way. Once you win a few that way, you will surely use it all the time, I never play without it!

DealDash Bids all Weigh the Same

There is one thing for sure, bidding at DealDash is so much fun and there are so many prizes to win. But when you are bidding, it’s not a bad idea to think about the weight of the bids.

You can win a toaster with about 25 bids, or you can win a $2500 piece of art with the same 25 bids. It takes time and patience to win a big ticket item with 25 bids, but it’s possible and happens often. You should not go into an auction after being here for one day and expect to win a big art prize right away because it takes some knowledge, along with a bunch of luck.

Here are a few important things to remember when you are bidding on high ticket items and you’re trying to win it with only a few bids. First, and this is the most important, if you don’t win it in 25 bids, like you planned, you need to back out. That’s the plan, you want to win with 25 bids, right?

There is always another prize exactly like this one or one that is very similar in value and quality right around the corner, so don’t waste any more bids trying to win an item you may never win. Be warned, you can go through a dozen auctions losing every one with just 25 bids, or you might be the one who one the $3000 prize with a few bids. It is a strategy and it’s played everyday by many.

You can go for a toaster and possibly win, but what if you went for the art and won that? You spent the same amount of bids and won a much larger prize. This type of bidding is not for the faint of heart, you MUST be prepared to lose bids and not “win them all” but the rewards are much greater when you do. It’s all about the odds.

This is a game that many “old timers” and “seasoned pros” use, but again, they will be more willing to stay in an auction until every bid of a BIN is used. These are the hard core shoppers who plan on winning for the retail value. But this article is about winning with nothing.

You have to be willing to back out if you want to win with a few bids, you need to grow that thick upper skin and say good bye, it’s not as easy as you might think. The second most important thing about this type of bidding is to know the other players, if you don’t you may be involved in an auction where this player is just not going to back out….ever.

The third thing I can share about “bidding on the 25” is you may not get these bids back. If you are in 10 auctions and have 25 in each , you will run out of bids quickly. Shop ahead of time, know what you’re going for and stick to the plan! That is an important piece of the puzzle.

So, if you want to win your item with 25 bids, 1. don’t bid over 25 bids in an auction, 2. Don’t overbid on an item when there is another one right around the corner. hint: the second one will most likely go for less that the first, a phenomenon I’ve noticed. 3. Go for a toaster or a high value piece of art, but know the competition so you make an educated decision. 4. Be willing to lose the bids, this is about fun, competition and winning for a few pennies. You might….or you might not. But I can say that I have won nearly 600 auctions, I have been there, done that, and I drew the map. I’ve learned how to walk away and that takes guts.

In just the past 30 days, I’ve won 23 auctions with less than 30 bids.

DealDash Best Bidding Times

There are a few great times of the day to bid at DealDash. No one time can be a “shoe-in” to better winning because you do have to factor in so many situations. However, DealDash is open to players across the United States and that’s it! So that narrows down the pool of players from some other sites which are open in other countries.

That means the DealDash advantage starts before you even get started, but there are some other factors to consider. For example, the time of day you bid can have an influence on your winnings. When the site is busy, there are more people, but there is also more prizes, so anytime could be a real opportunity, but what I’ve noticed is during certain times of the day, there really are less people.

Well, if we didn’t have people there would be no competition, and after all, it is the thrill of the chase at DealDash, but when there are less people it can be your lucky day! The site seems to be less busy when people are driving to and from work. I live on the East Coast, so for me what I’ve seen over the past two years of bidding is between 5AM East Cost time to 9AM West Coast time is a good time to bid. Likewise, the evening drive time, between 3PM East Coast to about 5PM West Coast.

During the middle of the day the site is busy with people who play at work, you know who you are! Then there is the stay at home crowd, when everyone is off to school and work and now is “my time”. This little secret could help you win if you can get to the site during what I call “drive time”. Luckily, there are a lot of items to bid on during drive times which you can and will win.

The ratio of players to prizes is less in the middle of the night too. There are less people, but also less prizes. The site is open 24 hours a day, and you can get some great deals in the middle of the night, but it is a sleepier place during the “wee hours” of the night, yet there are opportunity and advantage too!

What really shocked me was the number of players who play 24 hours a day. You can be sure they are using their Bid Buddy to bid for them and they leave the site to “go about life” I do a little bit of both. I enjoy the prowl, but I also have a life and go off the do other things. Just about everyone does this and the beauty of this is the opportunity to gain when someone else is “asleep at the wheel”. What I mean is people make mistakes, they don’t put enough bids into Bid Buddy and what happens? Well, about 4 AM they run out of bids and if you are there, you could be the winner!

DealDash is a very popular site and it’s always busy, that is one of the things that actually makes it more fun, but just knowing these few tips could help you win more. Get out there during “drive times” and keep in mind the middle of the day and the evenings are busy. Why not, it’s a national pastime! It’s a great place to play and shop for everyday items!

DealDash Metal Detectors Compared

DealDash has a really nice variety of Metal Detectors for the explorer in your life, or for yourself! It’s a popular category, and I’m going to compare them for you so you start out going for the one that meets your budget and suits your needs.

The metal detector is a must-have for anyone who enjoys long walks on the beach or if you like to look for gold along America’s riverbeds. I got one for my husband and we even take it hiking with us, here in New England we’re always trying to find some war relics. But there are many types of metal object that you could find, we’ve found some very interesting items, horse shoes, ax heads, jewelry, tools, hand forged nails and even a bucket…plus so much more. The metal detector at DealDash is a very popular item and it will help to watch a few auctions to see who’s in them, and what price the different varieties are going for.

Starting with the Bounty Hunter Brand the reliable and affordable place to start your hobby. Your basic metal detector is the Gold Digger retailed at $92. This model comes with a Pin Pointer Bundle and head phones. It features a single knob control and is small and light weight and has a 6 inch coil for detecting.

The next tier up in terms of options and price is the Bounty Hunter Tracker IV which retails for $117. This unit has a lot to offer for the price. The ground track tells you how deep to dig. Metal detecting system offering tremendous versatility with two distinct systems integrated into one: No-Motion mode and an Auto Notch Discrimination. The Treasure Cove Underwater Scuba and Wading unit is good for snorkeling and underwater searching. It includes a head set and and 8 inch under sediment search. It has a 10 inch search coil plus an adjustable 42-54 inch stem. There is an audio alarm and red LED alert. The Underwater Scuba requires 8 AA batteries.

This last unit I am comparing is made by Fisher and is called the Fisher F5 it retails for $642.00 and is a very popular item. This detector has a 0-99 Readout, Frequency Shift for different metals, Visual Target ID, Target ID Confidence Bar Graph, Target ID Confidence Bar Graph, Continuous Ground Mineralization Phase Readout, Concentric 10 inch Open Face Waterproof Interchangeable Search Coil. It has a 4 tone audio ID and weighs only 2.9 lbs.

Which ever metal detector you choose be sure you’ll be happy with the quality. DealDash also carries a small detector for juniors and a couple other Bounty Hunter Models that are very similar to the ones listed here. The basic differences being a carrying case, a pin pointer, different audio tones, different depths of detection, the type of batteries, and different size search coils. They all do one thing, detect metal!
