St. Patrick’s Day Specials

Are you looking for some St. Patrick’s Day specials? Well, then you are shopping in the right place.  DealDash.com now has many special features. I see 90 percent off to the winners, 12-cent bids and reduced BIN offers to runners-up in select auctions.

More DealDash Icons

About a month ago, I wrote a DealDash.com blog about some of the icons shoppers see in the upper left corner of each auction. However, I did not cover them and DealDash has recently added a few new ones, so I decided to write about them.

It is important to pay attention to all of the DealDash icons because, otherwise, we might get disappointed. Each icon symbol provides specific information and each auction is clearly marked.

Learn the DealDash auction icons to keep yourself informed!

Before placing our first bid we must understand what particular rules have been designated to each auction. By introducing various new icons DealDash keeps this shopping site as fun and exciting as it was when we first started playing here.

10-Bid Auctions

Did you see the round green circle icon with a money bag and the number 10 in the middle?  This is the newest icon symbol I have seen on DealDash, and this one takes us to a whole new level of competition.

One thing remains the same. Each time we bid, the price of the auction still only goes up by one penny. However, each time we place a bid, 10 bids will be deducted from our account instead of one. In other words, if we have 100 bids in our account, we will only be able to bid 10 times before we completely run out of bids.

Two possible advantages to these 10-bid auctions are:

  1. It could be a time-saver because these auctions might end 10-times faster. The time it takes to declare a winner will most likely speed up, which might appeal to some shoppers; and
  2. It could eliminate some of the competition. We would have to have an extra lot of bids in our account and many shoppers might not have enough bids to stay afloat.

It will be interesting to see how popular these auctions will be.

Runner-Up Auctions

Did you see the round purple icon symbol that looks like a ring with the number “2” in the middle?

This means that the runner-up to the winner (the shopper who comes in second place) will receive a discount if the runner-up decides to do a BIN (Buy-It-Now).

For example, an auction for blue light blocking computer glasses offered the runner-up a 50 percent discount off the BIN of $275.  Therefore, the shopper who came in second could do a BIN for half that amount, or $137.50.

The important thing here is to note the amount of the discount is not always the same. This time it was 50 percent, but it might sometimes be more or less because it varies.

Triple-Booked Auctions

Did you see the icon symbol with the red circle with the white battery in the center?

This icon means this is a “Triple-Booked Auction” and no one can participate in more than three Triple-Booked Auctions” simultaneously. For example, if we have already placed bids in three of these “Triple-Booked Auctions,” and then we see fourth one that we want to bid on, we cannot do so unless we cancel our participation in one of the other three. We are not allowed to shop in more than three of these auctions at the same time.

However, there is a lot more to these “Triple-Booked Auctions” than meets the eye. To learn more about these auctions, go to the DealDash Home Page and click on the “Event” header at the top of the page. If you have any more questions about how this works, you can go to the bottom of the Home Page and click on “Contact Support.”

High-dollar Bargains

I am amazed when I see some of the high-dollar bargains shoppers get on DealDash.com and it is so exciting to see the fireworks when we least expect it.

I’m especially surprised when I see products with a BIN of more than $2,000 to $3,000 that sometimes sell for less than $100.

DealDash can help you secure a slice of the luxurious life!

If you are new to this DealDash shopping site, you probably think, “no way” but people really do get such awesome deals.

Let’s take a look at a few of the high-dollar bargains shoppers have already gotten.

Rabbit Fur Coat

DealDash has a fur coat auction with a BIN of $2,752.

This coat provides excellent insulation. The 100 percent rabbit fur exterior is lightweight but warm, durable and glamorous. The lining is 100 percent polyester. Special features are a hidden adjustable drawstring at the waist so we can choose to wear a form-fitting style or choose to wear it loose and the tortoiseshell buttons are elegant.

Some of the best deals shoppers got on this high-dollar coat so far are:

  • March 2, this fur coat sold for $73.30 and the winner paid a total of $94.30 including the cost of the 105 bids placed;
  • Feb. 26, this fur coat sold for $2.29 and the winner paid a total of only $8.49 including the cost of the 31 bids placed; and
  • Feb. 24, this fur coat sold for $12.30 and the winner paid a total of $71.07 including the cost of the 340 bids placed.

Where else could anyone get better deals than this for such an exquisitely designed new rabbit fur coat?

Pocket Watch

Did you see the pocket watch with a BIN of $1,600?

It is not too early to shop for a Father’s Day and most men would truly appreciate receiving a stunning pocket watch like this. A gift like this might even be handed down for many generations to come.

This pocket watch is made with durability, reliability and elegance in mind. It is encased in a durable 18/8 stainless steel silver Hunter housing, crown, bow and chain. The dial has Roman numerals, and features Japanese movement.

So far, some of the best deals winners have received are:

  • March 3, this pocket watch sold for only $3.11 and the winner paid a total of $12.98 including the cost of the 61 bids placed;
  • Feb. 28, this watch sold for $4.39 and the winner paid a total of $25.59 including the cost of the 106 bids placed;
  • Feb. 26, this watch sold for $4.53 and the winner paid $24.73 including the cost of the 101 bids placed;
  • Feb. 21, this watch sold for only $2.16 and the winner paid a total of $4.08 including the cost of the 15 bids placed and ( the best deal of all is):
  • Feb. 20, this watch sold for 23 cents and the winner paid a total of 71 cents including the cost of the 3 bids placed.

The bottom line

As we can see, even high-dollar auctions will often sell well below the BIN — not just once, but several times. That tells me that anyone could win some of these amazing deals. Why not me or you, too?

Gas Powered Pizza Oven

Did you know we could bake a pizza in only 60-seconds flat?

Wow! When I read that, I could hardly wait to read more about the new gas powered pizza oven DealDash.com now has up for auction.

This pizza oven has a BIN of $629 and from the auction description listed on DealDash it sounds like it is worth every dollar because this auction actually includes more than the gas powered pizza over itself. It also includes a 33-piece set/case of everything anyone would need to use it to barbecue, too.

Many of us live busy lives and time is precious, so having a pizza oven that can “fire out jaw-dropping pizzas in 60-seconds flat” is pretty awesome. Another thing that impresses me about this pizza over is that “no assembly” is required. This pizza oven is “ready right out of the box.” All we have to do is “open the foldable legs, insert the stone baking board, and connect it to a gas tank.” It features “instant gas ignition” and can reach temperatures up to 950 degrees F. (500 degrees C), and be ready to cook in 15 minutes. We can then use the “heat control dial to cook pizza in just 60 seconds.” It can also be used to roast fish, vegetables and steaks. I really like getting products that I do not have to put together because I would probably have to pay somebody to do it for me.

A quality pizza oven can help you bake a pizaa in just a few minutes!

With spring around the corner, we might be soon planning some outdoor BBQ fun with family members, neighbors and/or friends for various social gatherings. With this gas powered pizza oven we will have every utensil we need and then some. This set includes:

  • A salt cellar and pepper pot
  • Corncob holders
  • Six steak knives and six steak forks
  • An 18-inch BBQ knife
  • An 18-inch grill scraper
  • An 18-inch slotted turner,
  • An 18 ½ inch small brush
  • An 18 ½ inch meat fork
  • 18 ½ inch tongs
  • Six 18 ½ inch skewers and
  • A carrying case.

According to the DealDash description, “Cooking outdoors with gas has never been so simple (or so beautiful)” with “no mess, no fuss.” I don’t know how it’s possible, but this pizza oven apparently has “no need to clean up fuel residue after cooking!”

Sometimes space can be a problem but this pizza oven only weighs 20.4 pounds and it easily fits in any outdoor space. It has a “Commercial grade cold-rolled carbon steel shell with high-temperature resistant, powder-coated finish.” A large propane tank is usually used with barbecues but it is also compatible with 1-pound propane tanks with an adaptor. It is not compatible with natural gas.

A brief history of pizza

Raffaele Esposito, a baker from Naples, Italy, is often given credit for making the first pizza pie. However, historians note that street vendors in Naples sold flatbreads with toppings for many years before then. Pizza was brought to America by Italian immigrants in the late 19th century.

In 1905 in New York City, Gennardo Lombardi is credited with developing the first pizzeria parlor in the United States.

Today, Americans love pizza. About 350 slices of pizza are consumed every second in the United States. That is equivalent to 21,000 slices a minute and about 100 acres of pizza a day.
