You Didn’t Know THAT About DealDash?!

DealDash

What are some things that you were surprised to learn about DealDash? Here are a few things that you may or may not know…

It’s uncommon to know everything that there is to know about DealDash, pay-to-bid auctions, and entertainment shopping. Even as a long-time DealDash player there is occasionally a new fact that I will discover about DealDash that I didn’t know before. Here are a few things that you might not know about DealDash. Read on for more tips and information.

Take the Tutorial!

Did you know that there is a DealDash tutorial available? If you didn’t know, the tutorial is sort of like a game that teaches you how to participate in a DealDash auction. It prompts you on what to do, and also shows you what the other (pretend) bidders are doing. These other bidders aren’t real people. They only exist to show you how other people bid in auctions. If you didn’t know about the tutorial, and now you do, what are you waiting for? Go check it out! You will receive 10 free bids for participating.

Receive Free Bids for Bidding

You can receive free bids just for bidding, did you know that? There are two different ways that you can accomplish this. The first way most people know about, it’s called “Time as the highest bidder” (TATHB), and you can earn bids by being the highest bidder in an auction.

This isn’t typically an “overnight” way to get free bids, the only way that you can earn time on your clock is by being the highest bidder. As you bid, your meter starts filling up with green when you are the highest bidder. When your meter has completely filled up you will receive free bids from DealDash. Depending on how often you bid you might fill this meter up fast or slow, it all depends on you.

The second way to get free bids just by bidding is simply that – place at least one bid. You will get a number of free bids from DealDash for every consecutive day that you bid. You can earn up to 30 free bids per day. Isn’t that such a nice gift from DealDash? Did you know about it? Well, now that you do, you can go to DealDash every day and take advantage of this awesome perk!

My Dashboard: Everything You Need on DealDash

Dashboard home

Shows your Active BidBuddies and Open Buy It Now offers.  Check back every now and then, especially if you are placing a lot of bids at the same time. Why? Because sometimes you forget about bids you placed on an auction (I know I have) and can check in on the auction to see if it’s worth adding more bids or bowing out. For Buy It Now offers, you can determine if it’s something you want to purchase at retail price (and get all your bids back). I have done this with gift cards and items I planned to purchase anyway. It’s a great alternative.

Badges (New!)

If you haven’t checked out this section, you should! I love these new badges. It’s like getting an extra win now and then. The pop-ups are fun and it’s nice to have a place to see how well you’re doing in the auctions. For example, how many auctions have you won in the Home Sweet Home badge category? Just a little more fun and excitement from DealDash!

Public Profile

This section is where you select an avatar or upload a customized picture for your profile. Adding something fun and friendly to your Bidder Bio is always fun too! I like changing up funny or inspirational quotes on my bidder bio. Switch it up every now and then!

Buy Bids

If you’re already in the My Dashboard section, it’s easy peasy to buy bids from this area. It’s the fourth tab down and will take you to the page where you can buy bid packs in a snap.

Buy It Now History

Are you a fan of the Buy It Now feature? If you use it often like many bidders do (and should!), this is your go-to section for keeping track of those items you’ve purchased at retail price, the price your paid, the number of bids you received back and shipping information.

Transaction History

Here you can see any transaction you’ve made on DealDash, from bid pack purchases, to exchange to bids options, to your daily award of free bids for logging in. If it involves a transaction of money or bids of any kind, this is where you can go to take a look.

visit-site12-13

Bidding History

Much like the Transaction History, your Bidding History section will give you a comprehensive view of any bid you’ve ever placed on an auction. You can view the item, the number of bids you placed, whether the auction is still ongoing (meaning you can get back in it to win it) or whether you won the auction. You can also click on each auction item after it has ended to see who won and the final auction price.

Won Auctions

This one is pretty self-explanatory and offers a list of any auction you have won, the final auction price and if the item was exchanged to bids or shipped with a link to shipping information provided.

My Orders

You can find all the same information here as is available in the Won Auctions area with the addition of any Buy It Now offers you have purchased as well.

Redeem Gift Card

This is the place where you would redeem a DealDash gift card for bids. Who knew there was such a thing? A hint: Try waiting until bids are at a lower price to redeem and you will receive more bids for your buck!

Account Details

Keep, maintain and update the credit cards you use for DealDash purchases here. You can also switch to the old DealDash page design here if you are more comfortable with that layout. You can also update/change your password through this section as well as view your username, the date you signed up, the number of bids you currently have on your account and, best of all, the total number of auctions you have won on DealDash!

Customer Support

Lastly, the My Dashboard section gives you another way to get to Customer Support! They are there for customers at all times of night and day. Feel free to reach out to them with any questions.

Getting to know the My Dashboard section is just a click away! Simply access this area by clicking on the last tab of that row, just under the Bids Left section at the upper right corner of the main screen. We hope you’re soon using the My Dashboard information to your advantage and racking up the wins on DealDash!

DealDash: Bid on THIS not THAT

DealDash

Don’t bid on just anything on DealDash. Follow this quick DealDash Tips guide to choosing what to bid on.

Now, as a big fan of DealDash, you might think that I would advise you to bid on just any random thing on DealDash. However, that’s not the case at all. There are many wonderful things to bid on, but there are some things that are probably just not right for your life that you should avoid. Let’s take a quick look at my “choosing auctions” guide.

Do You Really Need That?

When you’re browsing through the auctions it might be tempting to bid on anything and everything that you find appealing. However, this can be very expensive, and if you are hopping from auction to auction, not very successful. If you are looking for something to bid on, why bother bidding on something that you’ve won 3 times before, such as a phone case or the same pair of earrings? If you have some bids burning a hole in your pocket, why not bid on something that you know that you will use, like a gift card?

You Can Never Go Wrong With a Gift Card

As I mentioned above, you can never go wrong with a gift card! If you have bids saved up and nothing to do with them, why not try for a gift card? You might not win, but you can always pay the face value of the card and get all of your bids back. That’s the great thing about DealDash, they only charge face value for gift cards, and you get free shipping. That makes them an even better deal than purchasing them online from the store that they’re from – because the other stores charge shipping.

Skip the In-Season Stuff

If it’s winter, I don’t suggest that you bid on a snow shovel, snow blower, or other cold-weather items. Seasonal items are in top demand, and it will be quite a battle to end up with them. It makes a lot more sense to bid on out of season items because there is less competition. If you think ahead to the next season, then you will be able to get much better deals. Think about it, how many people want to bid on a swimming pool in November?

Make Sure it Fits

Bidding on clothing can get you a super deal. However, you need to look closely at what sizes you are bidding on before you give it a shot. I mistakenly bid on (and won!) a size small sweater. I am definitely not a size small! I thought perhaps I would be able to exchange it for a large, but when I contacted customer service they said it wasn’t possible. They only have a certain number of each size, and the larges were already spoken for. It was my mistake, though, so I will just save it for Christmas and give it to my sister-in-law, who can wear a size small. If you aren’t sure of the sizing, I would suggest not bidding on the item. Wait until an item that you are sure will fit comes up for auction.

DealDash Tips You Shouldn’t Forget

DealDash

You probably have heard some of these DealDash tips before. However, they are important, so try not to forget them.

If you just signed up for DealDash today you might not have heard these tried and true tips before. If you’re a regular DealDash player you have most likely heard them before. They are essential to maximizing your wins on DealDash, though, so you shouldn’t forget them. Read on for more information on these tips that you shouldn’t forget.

Buy Bids When They are at a Good Price

You never know exactly what the bid price is going to be on DealDash. It’s important to buy your bids when there is a big sale going on. Though the base price of the bids is .60 per bid, you can often find them on sale for .13, .14, or .15. Personally, if they are priced any higher than .15 per bid I won’t buy them. I know that they will come down in price in the next few days. Then I just check back every day until they are a price that I am willing to pay. The only reason that I would ever buy bids for a higher price is if I was in the

The only reason that I would ever buy bids for a higher price is if I was in the middle of an auction and I was running out of bids. That would have been poor planning on my part, and I would have to pay the price of higher bids. Don’t let this happen to you. When you see bids for a low price then you should buy as many as your bidding budget will allow.

Make Sure You Have a Bidding Budget

As I  mentioned in the above tip, you should have a bidding budget. It all depends on you what that budget should be, and how you want to set it up. You could do a daily, weekly, monthly, or quarterly bidding budget. This budget can include money to spend on bids, money to pay final auction value fees, and money to purchase BINs (Buy It Now).

Some people choose not to include their Buy It Now purchases into their bidding budget. This is especially true if you are doing a BIN on something that you either regularly purchase or if it was something that you had been planning and saving up for already such as a new computer. Make sure that you stick to your budget. You can always re-think your budget at some point if the budget you originally chose isn’t working for you.

Thanks for Reading the Tips Blog

I hope this article was helpful for those of you just getting started on DealDash. It can be such a fun hobby if you make good decisions and follow the tips that I have given you above.
