DealDash Tips: New Items

Using the Browse Categories Button to Spice Up Your Bidding!

Even though there are hundreds and hundreds of amazing auction items on DealDash, frequent bidders can sometimes feel like it’s the “same old, same old” when it comes to the variety of items available to choose from.

It’s also not uncommon for bidders to stick to categories they have had some bidding success in. Whether you’re looking to break out of a bidding rut or looking to bid on something new and different, we have a solution for you!

Under the main page banner, there is a drop-down menu called “Browse Categories.”

Clicking on this will give you several options and help fine-tune your bidding categories.

Today, we will focus on the New items category. Choosing this selection gives you a page of new items available to bid on.

Tips to Smarter Bidding on DealDash

Do you love bidding on DealDash? Here are some tips for smarter bidding. Read on and see if you learn anything interesting.

If you’re a regular bidder on DealDash, you’re probably familiar with all of the things that I am writing, however, there’s no harm in brushing up on the basics. Everyone needs to reinvent themselves at some point, why not start today by switching up your bidding style?

Bidding Styles

Whether conservative or free-flowing, bids are what makes DealDash go ’round. If you’re normally someone who hangs onto every bid with a tight grasp and misses some great winning opportunities because of it – loosen up that grip on your bids! On the other hand, if you’re the sort of bidder who just throws your bids around like they’re nothing, then maybe it’s time to tighten up your grip a bit. It’s all about switching up your style and confusing your opponents and fellow bidders.

Take a Bidding Break Occasionally

Have you ever been bidding in an auction and it just never seems to end? You’re going head-to-head with another bidder, and then another person jumps in, and another, and another? Then, before you know it, you’re back in an auction with ten people? Take a break! If your auction now has ten bidders, then there’s an extremely good chance that you can stop bidding for a half hour or so and go take a little break. Go have a snack, have a drink, go outside and sit in the fresh air for a few moments. Little breaks like this can help you stay focused and with your eye on the prize. If you have invested WAY too many bids to do this without feeling nervous, then turn on your BidBuddy.

Your BidBuddy will bid tirelessly for you with as many bids as you load up. The BidBuddy will bid with these bids until they are gone, taking turns with any other BidBuddies that are set up on the auction. The BidBuddy is always a smart choice when you feel like you need a break and a breath of fresh air.

DealDash Tips: Are you using your tools?

Are you using the DealDash tools? Having the right tools saves time and always makes our jobs easier.

DealDash offers many tools to help shoppers quickly find what they are looking for, but many new players might not be familiar enough with the site to know what they are or how to use them.

A few of my favorite DealDash tools are:

Browse Categories      

If you look to the left, just under the main header on the home page, you will see “Browse Categories.”  If you click on it, you will see several different categories: All Auctions; New Items; Bid Packs; Electronics & Computers; Fashion, Health & Beauty; Gift Cards; Hobbies, Toys, Outdoors & Games; Home, Garden & Tools; and Kitchen & Dining. By clicking on the category you are most interested in, you can quickly find your favorite auctions.

Search Auctions     

If you look to the right, just under the main header on the home page, you will see “Search Auctions.” If you click in the space and type in what you want, you will quickly find out if that item is part of the live auctions or will soon be part of the auctions coming up. For example, if you type in “lawn mower” (now at the time of this writing) you will see that several lawn mowers will be coming up for auction in the near future. If you click the button that says, “Alert Me,” you will be notified when that item comes up for auction, so you don’t miss it.

Using DealDash tools helps players have an easy and happy shopping experience.
