Practical Tips for Newbies from a Seasoned DealDash Bidder

When I started bidding on DealDash almost two years ago, I’d have given anything to have had someone help walk me through the process and give me helpful tips on bidding and winning. Now that I feel I’m a confident—and winning—bidder, I’d love to be able to pass some of that hard-earned wisdom and experience on to the newest DealDash bidders.

Anything worth learning takes time. Think of anything you’ve ever had to learn in your life and recall that at first it was a little intimidating but eventually you got the hang of it through patience, practice and mastering skills. The same is true for DealDash. Don’t go into it thinking you’re automatically going to win everything you want when you want.

Setting your own limits. Only spend what you are comfortable losing. Just like lottery tickets, you wouldn’t go in the store and buy 1,000 scratch-off tickets knowing you have to pay the rent. And just like lottery tickets, bidding in an auction is a similar gamble—you know you have a shot of winning by buying a ticket, but also know there’s a chance you won’t come out with a win.

Try off peak days and times. Try different days of the week and times of day to increase your odds of winning. It only makes sense that the fewer people in the auctions, the better your chances of winning. This strategy is a biggie. Give it a try.

Put a lot of eggs in your basket. Put a larger number of bids among two auctions rather than a smaller number of bids over several.  Again, by comparison, this would be like going to a penny social and having 100 tickets. If you really want to win a particular item, you would increase your chances by putting 50 tickets each in two buckets rather than 10 bids each over ten.

Start small and work your way up. Start with smaller items first. Larger, more expensive items often have dozens to hundreds of bidders involved. Gain skill and confidence by bidding on and winning smaller items before moving on to larger ones.

Bid on items you would buy. Bid on items you would use the Buy it Now option on. For example, one of the best items to bid on is gift cards. Let’s say you’re bidding on a $10 merchant gift card and you haven’t won after a certain number of bids. You can buy the item at the retail value ($10) and get all your bids back! It’s true! Using the Buy it Now function is a great option especially for items you plan to purchase anyway.

Taking chances nets unexpected results. Take a chance every once and a while.  I can’t tell you the number of times I have randomly placed a handful of bids on random items I never thought I could win and unexpectedly won them! I’ve won $300 and $400 items with just one bid each by taking a chance. You’ll never know unless you try!

You’re heard of Bid Buddy, right? Using Bid Buddy takes the worry out of placing bids if you get distracted. Setting your Bid Buddy ensures your bids will be placed for you and if you’re strict on your budgeting, you’ll only use what you choose to.

Living La Vida DealDash!

DealDash

Are you living the crazy DealDash life? Do your daily thoughts revolve around what you’re going to bid on? Read more about DealDash in the article down below.

Living the crazy DealDash life is fun! And most people, when they first start bidding on DealDash definitely live the crazy DealDash life! They spend every free minute trying to learn the ins and outs of playing and winning on our favorite bidding site. Let’s take a peek at what we should all be doing to keep our DealDash experiences fresh and enjoyable. Read on for more information.

Checking Out the Items

One of my absolute favorite things about DealDash is the huge variety of items and how frequently they are rotated. Sure, there are always the items that are perpetual, such as bid packs, but there is always something new to bid on when you use DealDash. The best thing is, that there are so many categories to explore. If you have been mostly bidding in the Kitchen and Dining category but get a bit tired of it you can always move on to Electronics and Computers or something else. DealDash is never stale.

Staying at the Top of Your Game

We as bidders should always try to stay at the top of our games. This means that we need to practice bidding even if we aren’t actually bidding by watching others participate in auctions. Here’s a fun fact – I come by every single day to get my free daily bids. I don’t always get into a long drawn-out auction, but I always watch a few auctions to see what’s going on. I like to see the names of the newer bidders, see who is aggressive and who is mild, and see what items are going for that day. Staying at the top of your game means taking time to devote to bidding every day. You’ll be a better bidder for it, I promise!

Don’t Overextend Yourself

We all love playing on DealDash, but don’t overextend yourself. Living the crazy DealDash life doesn’t mean that you should act crazy with your bids! Be frugal, do your research, and have a lot of fun on DealDash.

DealDash Tips: The Best Reasons to Bid

DEALDASH BIDS

What are your reasons for bidding on DealDash? We all might have our own reasons, but here are some good ones to think about.

Are you trying to save money? Do you enjoy playing games? Are you a big fan of online shopping? Whatever your reasons might be, they are all valid! However, there are some really common reasons that people bid on DealDash. If you’re interested, read on for more information.

They Love to WIN

Winning an auction on DealDash is an amazing feeling! There might be a lot of tense times when you’re waiting for the auction to end, but once you see those sweet, sweet fireworks and read the message of congratulations it’s a magical feeling. Some people love the feeling of winning so much they bid and bid way past the value of the item. I wouldn’t personally recommend doing that but to each their own. There is no DealDash rule against bidding over the value of the item.

Get Products You Can’t Get Elsewhere

You might not have noticed, but there are quite a few products and companies that you can find on DealDash that you won’t see at your local mall. There are companies and products from places like Finland and France. You can’t just stop by your neighborhood big box store and buy these items. They are unique and different, and that is a great reason to bid on DealDash.

Earn Bids By Bidding

Another great reason to bid on DealDash is that you will get free bids for bidding! You can receive free bids for bidding in two different ways. The first way is just by showing up and placing a bid. If you show up every day and place a bid you will earn progressively more free bids until you reach 30 free bids daily. Don’t miss a day, though, or you will go back to the beginning.

The other way to ear free bid by bidding is by racking up time on your time clock meter. This practice is called “Time As The Highest Bidder” or “TATHB” in DealDash lingo. For every second that you are the highest bidder in an auction you meter will increase. Once your meter is full DealDash will give you free bids. If you enjoy free bids, this is an excellent reason to bid on DealDash.

Why Shop On DealDash?

Why Shop on DealDash?

By Barbara

Why do so many customers love to shop on DealDash.com? Customers shop on DealDash for many different reasons.

Let me count the ways:

Convenience

It is so convenient to sit down at my computer with a cup of coffee in the comfort of my own home and start shopping with no long checkout lines. It does not matter if I’m wearing a night gown or if my hair is all messed up. It does not matter if I shop in the middle of the day or if I shop 3 a.m. when I can’t sleep. DealDash is open 24-7, a store that never closes. I do not have to fight traffic or hunt for parking spaces during a busy holiday season, especially before Christmas. It is often faster and easier to find exactly what I need. Best of all, my products are delivered to my front porch. What could be more convenient than that?

Save Money

Who does not want to save money? Actually, shopping on DealDash saves shoppers both time and money because it is often faster and easier to find the products we need. I save gas and wear and tear on my car by driving less and shopping more online instead. If I play smart and win, it gets even better. I receive brand new products for much less than full retail price.

Have Fun

Shopping on DealDash is really fun. I enjoy seeing how other shoppers play, seeing funny screen names and reading funny bio comments. It is a way to share our shopping experience with people from all over the United States without ever bumping into them.

These are just some of the many reasons DealDash has so many loyal customers.
