Halloween Shopping For You!

Wow! DealDash.com is celebrating Halloween in an extra big way and it would be difficult to miss the Halloween items because they are all marked with flying bats.

Not only is DealDash highlighting Halloween costumes, but they are also featuring special Halloween bid packs and spooky decorations for your yard and home!

I’m really happy to see this because it gives me a good reason to do my Halloween shopping online. With the virus pandemic still out there it is probably best to do most of my shopping from the safety of my home, anyway.

Trick or Treating season is just around the corner!

Let’s take a look at some of the Halloween items DealDash has to offer.

Halloween Costumes

Some of the costumes kids will be sure to love are the scary desert dweller, a vampire classic, a popular wizard that comes with the robe and clasp (wand), a popular costume of a guy who chases down and catches ghosts, a shark and another character I do not even recognize. The full-body inflatable adult costumes include a unicorn, bear and my favorite one of all – a shark!

The children’s Halloween costumes come in a wide-variety of sizes including small, 3T to 4T, medium and 12 to 14. The full-body inflatable adult costumes are “one size fits all” but at least one of them has more than one viewing window so the costume can be adjusted to various heights. The shark inflatable costume has only one viewing window in the big, open jaw of the shark, and this costume is more than seven-feet tall. The assembled product weight is 19.58 pounds.

Most of the children’s costumes are made out of 100 percent polyester material that can be hand-washed. The adult inflatable costumes come with an air pump that requires 4 AA batteries (which are not included). They also come with special instructions to prevent over-heating and special guidelines to achieve the best form when wearing them.

The BIN prices listed for these costumes run all the way from as low as $25 for the children’s costumes to a high as $71 for the adult costumes. Check each auction listing for specific information.

Halloween Decorations

Some of the Halloween decorations include:

  • A 5.4-foot inflatable skeleton unicorn made of 190T waterproof polyester. It comes with 8 stakes and 2 ropes to secure it to the ground. It also has built-in super bright LED lights. The assembled product dimensions are (L x W x H) 10.70 x 8.27 x 4.17 inches.
  • A 30-inch lighted Halloween pumpkin with an infinity mirror features 30 white and green led lights and can be used indoors or outdoors. It is water resistant and will not be blown down easily, even in bad weather, because it is made durable. This pumpkin measures 28 by 14 by 30 inches.
  • A 10-foot tall inflatable phantom that includes internal lights, ropes, stakes and a fan.

For more outdoor Halloween decorations conduct a search in the search bar on the DealDash home page.

Halloween Bid Packs

The Halloween bid packs come in various amounts including: 100, 250, 350 and 500. By placing bids on several of these bid packs we will increase our opportunity to win at least one of them.

Happy shopping and happy Halloween!

A New Way To Keep Your Beer Cold!

When was the last time you had a group of friends over to party with a keg of beer while watching a big game or simply enjoying some fun times together?  Well, now is your opportunity to party in style!

Did you see the new stainless steel easy-dispensing tap beer cooling system listed in the DealDash.com auctions?

With this system you and your friends can enjoy refreshing craft beer straight from your countertop tap. It will hold 5-liters of your favorite craft brew. The standard threaded CO2/N2O cartridges helps to keep your beer cold and fresh for 30 or more days after tapping right in “any own kitchen, bar, man-cave, basement or garage!” It comes with three 16g CO2 cartridges which will work with any standard threaded CO2 or N20 cartridges.

According to the description in the DealDash listing, this system includes a reusable 5-liter growler keg, but it also works with all standard 5-liter pressurized or non-pressurized gravity kegs, and “an easy-pull tap handle makes dispensing easy, while a removable drip tray catches any drips.”

There are a lot of ways to enjoy a beer, but it always needs to be cold!

This system has a powerful thermoelectric cooling system but the quiet operation results in low noise. The LED adjustable temperature gauge ranges from 36 to 53 degrees and chills within 24 hours, keeping drinks ice cold.  It even comes with a squeeze bottle cleaning kit to keep beer lines fresh and clean.

So far, all previous winners gave this product a perfect 5.0 rating. One DealDash customer wrote, “It arrived quickly and was packaged well. It’s very heavy and durable!”

This system is also listed as a bundle that comes with a few extras, such as a couple glass highballs and a set of 4 marble coasters.

History of Beer in the USA

According to my research, the first commercial brewery in the United States was built by the Dutch West India Company in 1632 in Lower Manhattan on Brewers (later Stone) Street. Until the middle of the 19th century, British-style ales dominated American brewing. As more European immigrants moved to America, they brought their beer brewing traditions with them.

Beer is one of the oldest drinks humans have produced. The original purpose of beer was largely ceremonial. In those early days, beer was thought to be healthier than water.

D.G. Yuengling & Son, which opened in 1829, is the oldest brewery in the United States, and beer is the most popular alcoholic beverage in America. It accounts for about 85 percent of the volume of alcoholic beverages sold in the United States each year. According to my research, as of 2016, the top three beer companies in the USA were Anheuser-Busch, Miller Coors, and Pabst Brewing Company. Anheuser-Busch InBev has six of the top ten brands.

Bud Light is the most popular beer in the United States, followed by Coors Light, Miller Lite and Budweiser. Snow, a brand sold mostly in China, is the best-selling beer in the world.

In terms of production volume China was the leading producer of beer in 2019 and brewed 376.53 million hectoliters. The United States was the second leading producer of beer in 2019 and brewed 210.88 million hectoliters.

Drinking beer in moderate amounts can be beneficial to hair and skin, but excessive beer drinking is not recommended by anyone in the health industry. According to the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism, drinking is considered to be in the moderate or low-risk range for women at no more than three drinks in any one day and no more than seven drinks per week. For men, it is no more than four drinks a day and no more than 14 drinks per week.

Bottom Line

If you and your friends enjoy getting together to party and drink beer, you might want to click on the Alert Me button in the DealDash listing so you can bid on, win or BIN the new stainless steel easy-dispensing tap beer cooling system.

Be a Race Car Driver

How would you like to have the experience of being a race car driver? Well, guess what? Now you might have the perfect opportunity to do just that and you have come to the right place to read all about it.

DealDash.com has a brand new auction for shoppers to experience being behind the wheel of a super race car on a track in Thornburg, Virginia. If you do not win this auction, you could BIN (Buy-It-Now) for $507.00.

Unfortunately, the first auction for this rare opportunity to “put the pedal to the metal” behind the wheel of a supercar and take three laps around a special race track is already up for auction and all new bidders have already been blocked. However, DealDash might hold more auctions like this one, so if you missed it keep your eyes open for another one.

The winner of this auction will start with a 20 to 30 minute classroom session. According to the DealDash description, the professional instructor will “go over racing tips, proper driving position, steering techniques, braking and acceleration with powerful vehicles.” Following the classroom session, you will “be sent down to the pit to be fitted for your helmet and to prepare yourself for the thrill of a lifetime!”

If you feel the need for speed this will be the opportunity for you to feed your craving. The car you will be driving can hit 60 MPH in just three seconds and reach top speeds of 200-plus MPH.

You will take the driver’s seat but your instructor will be in the passenger seat the entire time to “give you real-time feedback and pointers on how to get the most out of both the course and your supercar!”

Once in awhile you want to push the pedal to the metal!

Drivers must be at least 18 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license. It’s not recommended for participants who are more than 6 feet, 3 inches tall or anyone who exceeds 350 pounds. Helmets will be provided. Also included in the cost is the minimum track insurance policy, but participants could upgrade the insurance for an additional fee at the time of booking. “Photos and video of your experience will be available for purchase at the track on the day of your experience.” The winning driver will be able to share this experience with family and friends who could see the action close up, but the maximum “ride along” participants is three persons. Pit passes are available on the day of the event for an additional $10 per person but anyone under age 12 is free.

According to the DealDash description all of the supercars are equipped with a semi-automatic transmission and drive just like your automatic car. However, if you know how to shift and have track experience and want to use the paddle shifters, let your instructor know and he or she will be happy to help you shift.

This auction does not include accommodations and other expenses such as flights to and from the location of the track, but the winner will receive a digital voucher for the experience itself.

For more information about possible changes or delays due to inclement weather, unexpected mechanical issues, COVID-19 safety rules in place or other details, see the complete DealDash description.

Brief History of Auto Racing

Frank Duryea won the first motor-car race held in the United States on Thanksgiving Day in 1895. This mechanic and inventor, along with his brother, designed their own “horseless carriage” for the race.

Enzo Ferrari, a young Italian car mechanic and engineer, is listed as the first race car driver in history. Ferrari’s first car race took place on Oct. 5, 1919, on a hill climb in Parma, Italy.

In the early 20th century, rich petrol heads would race their cars on Ormond Beach in Florida. The first car to break 100 mph in 1905 was a 90hp Napier owned by S.E. Edge. It was driven by Arthur MacDonald, a British man who took it to 104.65 mph over the measured mile.

The world’s fastest cars in the 1970s were:

  • 7 1970 Ferrari 365 GT (2+2): 156 mph…
  • 6 1971 De Tomaso Mangusta: 155 mph…
  • 5 1970 Chrysler Hemi: 155 mph …
  • 4 1971 Chevrolet Corvette ZR2: 152 mph …
  • 3 1970 Dodge Challenger: 146 mph …
  • 2 1971 Plymouth GTX 440: 145 mph …
  • 1 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS LS6: 142 mph

In 1999 the world’s fastest car was the Lamborghini Diablo GT that reached 215 mph.

According to my search, the new $1.9 million SSC Tuatara hyper car legitimately claimed the title as the fastest car in the world in early 2021 with a verified two-way average speed of 282.9 mph in Florida

If you have a need for speed, keep your eye open for another “ride of a lifetime” auction on DealDash.com.

Take a Helicopter Tour

DealDash.com is coming up with some new and truly unique auctions.

One of the new auctions is a helicopter ride. Have you ever wanted to take a ride on a helicopter? Well, now you could have your first opportunity to do just that.

This auction offers the winner a 25-minute scenic helicopter tour for two to enjoy breathtaking views of key sights while flying above Los Angeles, California.

According to DealDash’s description of this amazing experience, the winner of this auction can take one other person on this helicopter tour with them but other spectators are welcome to come to the airport and take photos from the ground.

What an amazing way to see the city!

A certified helicopter pilot will point out several landmarks on this customized tour. Some sights you can expect to see (but are subject to change) include:

  • Los Angeles Basin
  • Downtown L.A.
  • Hollywood Hills
  • Hollywood sign
  • Downtown Hollywood
  • Grauman’s Chinese Theater
  • Dolby Theater
  • Hollywood Forever Cemetery
  • Paramount Studios
  • University of Southern California campus

All passengers must have a valid form of identification. Weight restrictions apply. The maximum weight allowed per person is 300 pounds or a total combined weight of 600 pounds for the winner and one guest. Your pilot will provide protective headsets for each passenger. Comfortable clothing and rubber-soled shoes are recommended.

Gratuity for the pilot is not included and the winner of this auction must provide their own transportation to and from the location of the airport where the helicopter rides are to take place. In case of inclement weather, you will reschedule directly with the pilot.

For more detailed information, check the description of this auction on DealDash.

Brief History of Helicopters

According to my research, many inventors and engineers from all over the world built prototypes of helicopters after 1912, many of which were used in the first two world wars.

The first helicopter to attain production status was the Focke-Achgelis Fa 223 Drache (English for Dragon). This helicopter was developed by Germany during World War II. However, production was hampered by the Allied bombing of the factory, so only 20 were built.

Igor Sikorsky is credited with creating the first mass-produced helicopter in the United States.

The VS-300, designed by Igor Sikorsky, first took flight on Sept. 14, 1939 at Stratford, Connecticut. It was built by the Vought-Sikorsky Aircraft Division of the United Aircraft Corporation. This was the world’s first practical helicopter and was the first to incorporate a single main rotor and tail rotor design.

Turbine-engined helicopters can reach around 25,000 feet. But the maximum height at which a helicopter can hover is much lower because of the thin air at greater heights. A high performance helicopter like the Agusta A109E can hover at 10,400 feet.

The first transatlantic helicopter flight took place in 1952, but the first non-stop transatlantic helicopter flight did not take place until 1967.

The Sikorsky X2 now holds the record for the fastest helicopter in the world. The helicopter first set the unofficial record in 2010 when a demonstrator model reached 287 mph but since production has achieved faster speeds

Bottom Line

If you are looking for a unique Christmas gift for someone special in your life, this might be an auction you might want to win – especially if you are already living in or near the Los Angeles area where the helicopter airport is located.

The best part is even if you are not able to win this auction you can still BIN it for only $260.00.
