Tips from DealDash for Great Pics

dealdash pic tips

Taking great pictures is an important skill to have, especially if you want to win 1,000 bids from DealDash in the weekly contest.

Have you been entering the DealDash photo contest to win 1,000 bids? This is a contest that happens every week, and the winners are always ecstatic to win. That’s about $150 in free bids! DealDash has this contest weekly as a “thank you” to their loyal customers. Read on for some ways to improve your chances to win by taking excellent pictures.

How’s Your Lighting?

One of the key aspects for taking a great photo of yourself is to be sure that your lighting is adequate. You’ll want to Be sure that there is excellent lighting in your home, or take your item outside to take the pictures. Make sure that the light is focused onto you and the item, and that there are no shadows covering you. However, having natural light is best so waiting for a nice bright day might work in your favor.

Have a Backdrop

Another way to make your wins really “pop” is to set up a backdrop. This doesn’t have to be anything expensive or complicated, even just hanging a plain neutral colored sheet behind you would do the trick. Try using gray, cream, or beige for the best pictures.

After you have taken your photo of yourself with your win navigate to the DealDash Facebook page which is here, and “Like” it. Then you can post your picture to get free bids. Here are the instructions from DealDash detailing the instructions how to get free bids from Facebook:

1. Select an item you have won on DealDash to feature in the photo.

2. Take a high-quality photo clearly showing yourself and the item you won.

3. Send your best-looking photo to [email protected] and add a description which should include the following information: the item name, retail price, how much you paid for the item and a personal comment about the win as well. For example: “I got this $879 flatware set on@DealDash. I paid just $9.02 and used 109 bids! Thanks DealDash, they look nice in my kitchen”

4. In the end of the caption, please include the following sentence and the link (See the picture below):

See the Official Rules

You can see all of these instructions and guidelines on the DealDash Facebook page here.

And the Unofficial Rules

Other than great lighting, here are a few other tips to help you take great photos of yourself and your DealDash wins:

  • Take the item out of the packaging so it’s easier to see.
  • If the item needs to be put together, like a bike, then do that before taking the picture.
  • If it’s a small item hold it up close to your face.
  • If it’s a larger item such as exercise equipment try to get someone else to take the picture for you so you can either sit on it or crouch down so you and the item are on the same level.
  • Make sure that your pics are CLEAR! There’s nothing worse than a blurry out of focus dark picture where you can barely even tell what the item is that you are trying to display.

5 Big Ticket Wins in One Week at DealDash

It sure is fun to have an auction site like DealDash where there is no limit on the number of items you can win, the only limit on wins is you can’t win the same item twice in one week, so if you won the iPad Pro already this week, you’ll have to wait until next week to win it again, but you can go for a different iPad, like the mini or a Pro with a different amount of RAM.  You can also go on to win an Xbox One, KitchenAid Stand Mixer, a Ninja Coffee Maker and a dozen or more other prizes if you can, but don’t stop there, you can win as many items as you’d like all the time.

That’s why we don’t worry about winning limits at DealDash anymore, there was a great deal of strategy that surrounded the limits, if you’ve never known limits, you don’t know how lucky you are.  So, what I do now is go for just about any item I think I have enough bids to win, if I don’t I don’t try to win something with nothing.  That’s not to say that I can’t win with nothing, here are a list of items I won in one week, all big ticket items.  I won a handful of smalls too, but this was the boon!

$329 Shoulder Massager, $1.33,  29 bids

$$2162 Original Oil Painting $3.16, 76 bids

$224 Tall Hand Glazed Vase $1.42, 16 bids

$1125 Original Oil Painting, $4.03, 16 bids

$$180 BBQ Grill, $3.95, 109 bids

This is $4020 worth of merchandise that I won for only $13.89 and $36 for bids.  That’s a huge savings!  I did win the smalls, and honestly, I lost quite a few too, keep in mind you can’t win them all, and I’ve been playing for over two years.  It takes time to get this good, but you will while you are getting to know the site and the joy of winning.  Read the blogs on the DealDash Social Media and learn a lot of secrets to help you win.  I write the blogs so my fellow players play better, because if you play better, we all win more!

Good Luck and Happy Bidding!!!

DealDash Features Explained: Who's On Their Limit?

On every penny auction site there are bidders who will always seem to win all of the items they start bidding in.
You’ll know these bidders when you see them. They’re powerbidders, and as we told you in our Powerbidder’s Strategy to Winning DealDash Auction Series (See The Powerbidder’s Strategy to Winning DealDash Auctions Part 1 of 3; The Powerbidder’s Strategy to Winning DealDash Auctions Part 2 of 3; The Powerbidder’s Strategy to Winning DealDash Auctions Part 3 of 3.) These powerbidders are ruthless, and well, let’s face it – unless you want to spend all of your bids and buy it now (you will get your bids back with buy it now), it’s not always smart to bid against them.
A good thing about DealDash is that there are win limits in place to keep bidding fair.
Don’t like win limits?
Well think about it this way: Would you ever be able to win anything if the powerbidders were able to win everything?
DealDash’s Win Limits Explained
Each bidder can only win a set number of items each week.
The limits are there to ensure that everyone can win the same amount of items.
Each user can win up to 6 items valued at less than $200, and 3 items valued more than $200 per week.
The item’s price is stated as the Buy it now/MSRP price on each auction.
Once you’re logged in you can track how many items you’ve won each week by looking at the winning limit slots. This can be found next to your bid amount on the top right-hand corner of DealDash.com:

Deal dash win limits explained

Once you have reached your win limits, the site will not let you bid on more items. Again, no more than 6 items valued under $200, and no more than 3 over $200.
Win limits are reset first thing in the morning on the day of the week you registered. So if you registered on Saturday the win limits should reset at 12am Saturday morning.
Did you know that DealDash lets you see who is on their win limit each week?
How to find out who is on their win limit:
1. Click on the “My Dashboard” link right underneath the win limit meter and bids left section on the top right corner of the homepage:
2. On the left-hand side click on the link “Who’s on their limit”
3. Now you will see a page with a list of users who have won the maximum number of wins for the week. Notice how their names are shaded? In order to see who is on their limit you have to click “Show me the list!”
To see the list you will have to spend 1 bid.
You will be able to see an updated list for the next 12 hours.

Check it out!
