DealDash Tips You Wish You’d Known?

DealDash

No one can predict the future. What DealDash tips do you wish that you’d known before you started bidding?

Learning how to use DealDash properly can take a few tries. Reading all of the information that you can get your hands on is a good idea. There are blogs like this one and DealDashBlog.com to get you started off on the right foot. There is also an online tutorial, a help section, and customer service representatives an email away. What DealDash tips do you wish that you had known about before you started bidding? Read on for more information.

You should Use the BidBuddy

The BidBuddy is NOT a requirement to using DealDash. However, you really HAVE to use it if you want to win auctions regularly. Do you want to know why? Because everyone uses the BidBuddy. If you aren’t using the BidBuddy then you are at a disadvantage compared to everyone else who is in the auction.

The BidBuddy is easy to set up and does not cost any additional bids to use. Once you have decided to use the BidBuddy you can put in as many or as few bids as you like. You can cancel it or add more bids at any time. The BidBuddy is available on every auction that DealDash has on its website.

Only Bid on Things You Would Pay to Buy

You might be aware that DealDash offers the BIN (Buy It Now) option on all auctions. If you participate in an auction and don’t win, then you can always BIN (Buy It Now) and get the item, free shipping, and all of the bids back to use on another auction. This means that if you only bid on things that you would definitely buy you will always either win or get all of your bids back when you BIN. I wish that someone had clued me into this tip before I started tossing my bids around on things that I would have “liked” to win, but wasn’t “superdupercrazy excited!!!!” to win.

Don’t Be Intimidated By Other Bidders

When I first started on DealDash, long ago, I was very intimidated by people who had “unfriendly” bidder bios. Now, DealDash doesn’t allow mean or threatening bidder bios, and if you see one you should report it. However, bidder bios that said things like “I will still be bidding after you give up” or “Give up now, I never stop” are allowed, they just aren’t very friendly. When I first started and saw bidder bios like that it made me feel a little intimidated. However, after being on DealDash for many years now, I know that most of the things that people say on their bidder bios are pure fiction. Make sure that you fill out your bidder bio, everyone – and keep it friendly!

Bid Wisely With These Tips from DealDash

DealDash

Bidding on DealDash can be a little confusing sometimes. Here are some tips to use your bids wisely.

When you’re new it’s easy to waste your bids without realizing you’re doing it. A few bids here, a few bids there, before you know it you’re out of bids with nothing to show for it. Your problem was that you didn’t know how to use your bids wisely. DealDash (and I!) don’t want to see that happen to you. Read on for more information about how to use your bids wisely.

Don’t Scatter Your Bids

Some people prefer to scatter their bids, however, when you’re new I don’t think that it’s a good idea. If you want to put 10 bids on every item on the front page you might win something. However, there’s also a fairly good chance that you won’t win anything, and have nothing to show for your bids. If you had, instead, taken those 250 bids and put them all onto one item then you would have a much better chance of winning those items. Not only that, if you have put 250 bids onto one item that you really want to win, and you don’t, then you can always BIN it.

BINning an Auction is Wise

When you want to get the bids back that you placed in an auction, all you have to do is BIN (Buy It Now). This is a very wise way to handle your auctions. When you BIN the auction then you’ll get the bids back that you placed. If you were bidding on something that you wanted to buy anyway, why wouldn’t you spend the money to buy it? Then you can receive all of those sweet bids back to use on a later auction. Now that’s wise!

Get to Know Your Competition

While you might not want to get friendly with the competition, you should get to know them a little bit. Get to know who likes to bid on the same items that you do. Most people have a favorite category that they like to bid in. Find your favorite category, and then hang out and observe the auctions. You will start to see the same avatars and bidding names over and over again. Take note of who seems to drop out early, and who seems to hang in until the BIN price. This will serve you well if you happen to get into an auction with them and you are unsure if you should hang in there a while and bid, or cut your losses and back out. The more informed you are, the wiser decisions you will make when you’re bidding.

Don’t Let That Deal Slip Away on DealDash!

DealDash

Some deals on DealDash are just too good to let them slip away. Here are some tips and tricks to get those deals that you want.

I’m sure that you have noticed that DealDash often has the same items up for bid multiple times. This is not true of every single item in their inventory, though, some of the items are just a “one shot” type of deal. And other items are only available a few times per year. How do you know which deals need to be gotten right away and which ones can wait until later? It’s hard to say. However, if it’s something that you are really excited about, it would be best not to let the deal slip away from you. Here are a few ways that you can boost your chances of success.

Bookmarking on DealDash

The bookmarking feature that DealDash offers is one way to keep your special deal from slipping away from you. Bookmarking allows you to save auctions on your home page while you are browsing the auction pages. While you are browsing on DealDash, simply click on the small hollow outline of a star in the top right corner of the auction and you’re all set. The small star will turn solid yellow, and the auction will now be pinned to your DealDash home page. Using the bookmarking feature is a great way to remember exactly what you’re interested in bidding on in the near future.

DealDash Alerts, a Nice Surprise

If the item that you are interested in isn’t coming up in the next few days, then the bookmarking feature won’t work for you. What you need to do in this situation is set an alert. If you missed an auction that you were really interested in and you don’t see one coming up again in the next few days, then you can search for the item in the search bar. After you have found the item then you can set a DealDash alert. Just click the button that says “Alert me” and DealDash will send you an email when an auction has been scheduled for this item. DealDash will alert you when the auction is starting within a couple of days, and then again when the auction is starting within a couple of hours. You can set an alert for anything in DealDash’s catalog of items, it doesn’t matter how far away they are – DealDash keeps track of it all for you.

Like Winning? Then You’ll Love DealDash!

DealDash

If you’re the kind of person who “never wins anything”, then you should give DealDash a try. It’s easy to win when you’re a newbie!

Being a newbie on DealDash is a fun and exciting experience. Luckily, DealDash has a lot of features that makes it easier for newbies to get into the swing of things and win auctions even if they aren’t quite sure what they are doing. If you’re the kind of person who feels like they are not “lucky” or “not a winner” then you should still try DealDash anyway. After all, they do offer a money back guarantee! Read on for more information.

There is a Great DealDash Tutorial

Back when I started on DealDash there was no tutorial. There were “House Rules” and “How it Works”, but now there is something WAY better! There is an amazing interactive tutorial that you can use to learn how to participate on DealDash. Just navigate to the bottom of the DealDash home screen and you will see the “Help” section. You will find the tutorial in the help section. It’s fun to do, and you will receive 10 free bids for your participation.

You Won’t Be Thrown to the Wolves

When you’re a newbie on DealDash there are lots of things to help you get started. For starters, newbies who haven’t won any auctions (or have only won 1 or 2) have more auctions available to them than more seasoned bidders. They have all of the regular auctions, but there are also extra auctions for small items such as $10 gift cards and small bid packs that only other newbies can see. This makes it fairer so the newbies have a chance to get a few wins while they are still learning.

If You Don’t Win…

As a newbie, an important thing to remember is that if you “accidentally” bid too many times and you still aren’t going to win, you can BIN. BIN means Buy It Now. When you do a Buy It Now it means that you buy the item for the retail price. You will get ALL of the bids back that you placed, as well as getting free shipping. BINning items are a great way to not bust your bidding budget.
