Multi-region adaptor including cord. If you travel for business or plan on going on an overseas vacation this summer, then you’ll need a travel adaptor that can be used in multiple regions.
Twin USB Lightning cables. These cables are great for the newest Apple products and come with their own carrying case.
Phone cases for the new iPhone 8 and iPhone X. If you recently replaced your iPhone with one of the newer models, then you’ll want to get it a case. DealDash has you covered!

DealDash Tips: New Mystery Auctions

DealDash

DealDash has been rolling out many fun new features recently. What’s your favorite?

Have you noticed that DealDash keeps adding more and more fun new features to the website? They are really putting the “entertainment” back into “shopping entertainment”, which is DealDash’s category online. If you want some fun and excitement while you’re shopping online, then DealDash is the place to be! They are open 24/7, 365 days per year. Yup, they are even open on Christmas day for your bidding enjoyment. Read on for information about a new DealDash special feature.

Mystery Auctions

Mystery auctions are a brand new feature that I have not seen on DealDash before. How they work is simple to understand, though. When you sign into your account, if there is a mystery auction starting soon, you will see the picture to the above right – a purple rectangle with a question mark. It will also have a timer. The timer indicates when the mystery auction will be revealed so you can see what is up for bid. You cannot open up the auction or place any bids into the BidBuddy before the auction is revealed. After the mystery auction has been revealed it will be open for bidding 5 minutes later.

The nice thing about a mystery auction, and why this is such an exciting new feature is because you can only join the auction if you’re currently online. Since you can’t pre-book your BidBuddy, you have to wait patiently for the auction to be revealed. This way, there will be less competition for the item. In the case above, the mystery item was a $100 Wal*Mart gift card. This is a very hot auction item that typically ends with a fairly high final auction value. However, since you had to currently be online to see it and bid on it, the competition was significantly less, as you can see from the picture below.

As you can see, there are less than 30 people bidding in this auction. That is a far cry from the typical 100 or so that would be vying for this awesomely popular gift card. In short, the new mystery auction feature will give you an even better chance of getting an amazing deal on DealDash.

Tips for Getting to Know DealDash

DealDash is a fairly friendly community, and everyone is welcome. Here are some tips for getting to know DealDash.

Joining a new community can be hard, and sometimes a little bit scary. The unknown can be a little daunting, but don’t worry. DealDash Tips is here to guide you on your journey into getting to know the wonderful community known as DealDash.

Introduce Yourself

After opening an account with DealDash you will be taken to your dashboard. The dashboard is an important part of navigating around DealDash. One of the first things that you will want to do is introduce yourself to the community. How do you accomplish this? You can introduce yourself by posting a short bio on your dashboard. Simply go to Dashboard –> Public Profile –> Edit Bidder Bio. You can add up to 250 characters, which is enough for a few short sentences. Your bio already adds your DealDash start date, along with your home state. You might want to tell the community what your hobbies and interests are, your favorite sports team, or how many grandchildren that you have. It’s up to you, as long as you keep it friendly. No threatening or intimidating bios, please. They will be removed.

Show Yourself to the World

After you have completed your bidder bio, then it’s time to choose or make an avatar. If you are ready to bid and don’t have a real preference what your avatar is, you can simply pick from one of the premade ones. You can do this by navigating yourself to Dashboard –> Public Profile –> Select an Avatar. You can choose from 1 of the 30 premade avatars, or if you scroll a little further down you can upload your own image. Again, please keep it friendly. No threatening or intimidating photos.

App Bio

If you are using the DealDash app instead of using your computer at home, you have a different choice! You can design your own avatar right in the app! You can select skin tone, hair color, and facial expression. It’s a lot of fun, and I made an angry blond girl, just like myself! If you haven’t downloaded the DealDash app yet, it’s free! DealDash Tips – Make Wins Not Mistakes

Are you making wins or mistakes? Here are some common mistakes and some tips from DealDash on how to correct them before they happen.

You’ve heard it before – everyone makes mistakes. And that’s definitely a true statement, however, how you react after your mistakes and learn from them is important. Every mistake is an opportunity to learn and become a better bidder. Let DealDash help you in your journey towards the next big win.

Mistake 1

The first mistake that we are going to look at today is not listening to advice. I know, I know, when you first find DealDash everything is so new and exciting that you want to jump right in and bid. However, reading up on all of the House Rules, the Tips & Tricks section, and blogs such as this one, DealDashReviewed.com and DealDashBlog.com will offer you a wealth of information that you can’t get anywhere else. Other people before you have made mistakes on DealDash and are willing to help you when you are a new bidder. Be smart, and don’t make the mistake of not reading, watching, and listening to their advice.

Mistake 2

The second mistake that we are going to look at is not taking advantage of DealDash’s great sales and promotions. DealDash offers discounted bids each and every day. Depending on the sale, you could be paying as little as .12 for bids! However, .12 is usually just for special occasions such as holidays, but you can regularly snag bids at .14, .15, or .16 per bid.

Did you know that DealDash also gives away free bids just for bidding? It’s true. For every second that someone is the highest bidder in an auction they earn “free time” that is shown at a bar on the bottom of the screen. When the bar is filled up then DealDash will give you the number of free bids that you are eligible to “claim.”

Pay attention to the blogs, especially here on DealDash Tips. DealDash Tips will occasionally tell you about sales and promotions before they happen. Wouldn’t you be sad if you missed a great sale because you didn’t know about it?

Mistake 3

The final mistake that we are going to look at today is not planning ahead. When you see an auction coming up in the near future that you are very interested in, you need to plan ahead. Planning ahead means that you need to calculate how many bids will equal the BIN price, and be sure that you have that amount of bids available in your bid bank. If you plan ahead you will be able to get the best prices on bids, and that means that you will have more bidding power than someone who bought their bids at a more expensive price. Don’t make such an easily avoided mistake! Plan ahead!
