Tips to Deal With Not Always Winning

Unfortunately, we don’t always win every auction. Here are some tips to get you “back in the saddle” for winning another auction.

The old adage is “you can’t win them all”, and that is true in life as well as DealDash. But there are hundreds of auctions every day on DealDash, so there are tons of chances for you to win. Here are some tips and tricks from the DealDash Tips Blog to get you back on track to winning more auctions.

Explore Your Possibilities

When you’re on DealDash it’s important to explore the different auctions. Expand your mind and explore all of the different categories and items that are up for auction. There are currently 9 categories on DealDash, and this is something that changes occasionally as DealDash expands and changes things around on the site. Here are the categories that are currently offered:

New Items
Bid Packs
Bundles
Electronics & Computers
Fashion, Health, and Beauty
Gift Cards
Hobbies, Toys, Outdoors, and Games
Home, Garden, and Tools
Kitchen and Dining

No matter what kind of items that you are interested in winning, you’ll be able to find something that you’re interested in on DealDash. However, if you’ve been trying to win a particular item with no success, take a break! Bid on something else, try a different category. Explore and educate yourself on all of the different categories.

Take a Peek Into the Past

If you’ve been having trouble winning an auction, then check out some of the items that you won previously. What kinds of items were they? What time of day were you bidding? Was it on a holiday or a particular day of the week? See if you can spot some similarities in your previous wins and try to replicate them again and see if you can snag yourself another win.

Having previous wins is a great way to try and repeat your success, but if you are a new bidder and don’t have very many wins to compare, then you can always check out the “Winner’s Tab” on DealDash. Just navigate to the main page, and click the tab at the top that says “Winners”. This will take you to all of the wins on DealDash, starting with the most recent. You can scroll back indefinitely (as far as I know), once I scrolled back to the previous day. It’s really an invaluable source of information to take advantage of that DealDash offers anyone who cares to look.

BIN if You Don’t Win

If you are planning on purchasing any of the items that you are bidding on in a DealDash auction, then you’re a great candidate to do a BIN (Buy It Now) if you don’t win. DealDash offers the BIN on all auctions on the website. To complete a BIN, just pay retail price for the item and you will receive all of your bids back. You’ll receive your item, all of your bids back, and get to keep the clock time that you accrued while bidding, as well.

Be Your Own Valentine from the February 4th Blog

The theme of February 4th’s blog was shopping on DealDash for a Valentine’s Gift for yourself. The top tip of that blog was listing some excellent suggestions of items to make yourself feel loved. The list, written by Theresa, included:

Choosing a Chair from February 6th’s Blog

February 6th’s blog was all about the different types of chairs available for auction on DealDash. The chairs that were listed in the article are all high-quality, and all up for bid on DealDash. Make sure that you visit DealDash on Sunday to take advantage of this awesome bid sale price.

DealDash Special Promotions

This weekend DealDash is having one of everyone’s favorite promotions. 50% off of all auctions! This means that whatever the final auction price is when the auction is over, you will only have to pay half! This is an excellent way to take advantage of getting extra savings this weekend. This half-off all auctions sale will run the entire weekend, so be sure that you check out all of the auctions through the end of the weekend.

Also, do note that even if an auction isn’t over by Monday, you will still get the half-off auction price. For example, if you begin bidding on a laptop on Sunday evening, and it’s not over by the time you go to sleep that night, if it’s still running the next day when you come back to it, you will still get to take advantage of that great half-off price. DealDash realizes that there are people from all time-zones bidding, and doesn’t want to penalize anyone and have them not be able to use the 50% off promotion.

How you bid on DealDash can make the difference between getting a good deal or getting a great deal. Read these important tips and use them the next time you’re on DealDash.

See What the Hot Category is Today

How do you figure out what everyone wants to bid on today? By checking out the Winner’s Tab. If you haven’t been visiting the Winner’s Tab on a daily basis, then you might have been wasting some wins in a different category that you could have been getting. Most days, there is a category that people are more interested in than others, and you can easily see what categories are hot (or not) by checking the Winner’s Tab and seeing what price items are selling for.

For example, if you go to the Winner’s Tab and see that jewelry is going for less than $1 today, then you probably want to hop yourself on over to the jewelry category and get bidding. Alternately, if you see that home decor items are going for near the retail price, then you probably want to pick a different category to bid on that day.

Not Your Best Bidding Day?

No matter how skilled you are in bidding on auctions, everyone has an “off” day sometimes. To be honest, sometimes that off day can stretch longer into an off week! However, if you are having a tough time in the auctions, you can rest assured that you can receive all of your bids back from DealDash.

If you are having a tough time and don’t win the auction, you can always do a BIN, or Buy It Now, and get all of your bids back. You’ll also get free and fast shipping. When you bid on things that you would actually buy in “real life” for full price, then it’s not a big deal or an inconvenience to do to BIN on an item that you don’t win. It just makes good sense.
