DealDash Tips to Class Up Your Kitchen

DealDash classy kitchen

Classing up your kitchen won’t be too difficult with tips from DealDash. Here are some easy fixes to make your kitchen look great.

Owning your home can be a great experience, and one of the best things about home ownership is customizing your space. Most kitchens are fairly standard and fairly boring. Here are some tips from DealDash on how to class up your kitchen without spending too much money.

Backsplash

Backsplashes are a great opportunity to express your elegant style and fun personality without breaking the bank. Backsplashes are a good place to start with because they’re small enough to not require a large amount of material to completely change them. If you go to your local hardware store you can see many different designs of backsplashes, and most also have an additional catalog that you can browse.

Hardware

Using the standard hardware that your kitchen cabinets came with is what most people do, however, changing your kitchen hardware can add more upscale elegance on the cheap. You can get new kitchen hardware from just about anywhere – the hardware store, online, and even the craft store! Upgrade your metal to stainless, satin nickel, brass, or whatever you choose.

Art & Clocks

Adding a beautiful wall clock or even an elegant shelf with a clock can really make your kitchen stand out. Instead of the standard picture of a fruit bowl or chubby chef, why not put a beautiful painting on the wall instead? A landscape, ocean scene, or Tuscan village painting would look amazing and make your kitchen look more elegant than ever.

High-End Appliances

Having a few high-end small appliances sitting out on your counter can make your kitchen look very posh. My favorite go-t0 high-end appliance is the KitchenAid mixer. I adore my hot pink one, and I keep it on the counter at all times. It makes my kitchen look classy, as well as adds a personal touch. Check the reviews, people love KitchenAid mixers.

DealDash Tips for Art Placement

DealDash art

Art is something that should be in everyone’s home. DealDash reveals the best place to display art in your home.

Displaying art in your home should make you feel relaxed and happy, not anxious, worried, and stressed out. Art is a beautiful treasure that you share with your guests. Let DealDash take away the confusion of displaying art in your home.

What Do I Do With It?

There are many different ways to display art in your home depending on the size, shape, and materials that the art is made from. If you have just a few small sketches, pictures, or paintings that are easily fit into standard-sized frames that you can get easily from the big-box store or craft store, then perhaps you should display the art in a cluster of frames. If you keep a certain theme of the frame such as wood or buy/paint them all the same color they don’t need to be the exact same frame.

In fact, if you would like to save some money, you can go to the thrift store and buy frames that are completely different, take out the art/glass and spray paint them all the same color to have a nice theme.

If You Like Order

Perhaps a cluster of frames isn’t for you. How about lining up your art either behind your couch, above your fireplace, or on a single wall? If you have one large painting that you would like to display, then you should try to display it on its own wall, perhaps even with a gallery light shining on it.

You Have a Lot of Space

If you have lots of space in your home, and no pets or small children to knock it down, why not try displaying your art on a large easel? One of the benefits of displaying your art on an easel is that you can move the easel do different places in your home. Another advantage is that you can occasionally swap out the art to keep things fresh in your home.

DealDash Tips to Make Kids Happy

DealDash happy kidsTwo things make kids happiest – time with their parents, and toys! Why not do both and win some fun things from DealDash?

DealDash has so many fun toys, crafts, games, outdoor activities, and other kid-friendly items to choose from. Why not DealDash with the whole family? Gather up the family, go to DealDash, click on the Toys, Hobbies, Outdoors, & Games category, and let your kids choose what to bid on? Once they find something that they like, be sure to check the reviews on the product that DealDash provides to make sure that it’s something appropriate for their ages.

It’s Like a Math Lesson

If you’re going to let the kids choose what to bid on, why not turn the bids into a math lesson for them? For older kids you can get them to figure out how many bids you need to put in to reach the BIN (Buy It Now) price, and for younger kids you can let them count up to the number of bids you’re using. In case you need a little refresher course on how to do your DealDash Math, here’s a tip:

If you’d like to bid on a $10 Burger King gift card, $10 divided by .15 cents is approximately 67 bids. However, if you want to make sure that you don’t over-bid, you have to include the going auction price. If you join the auction at $4, whatever you do, don’t place 67 bids on a $10 gift card auction that has reached an auction price of $4! If you happened to win on the 67th bid you would be paying a total of $14 dollars for the auction you’ve just Won! Bids price + Final Auction Value = Total Money Spent.

Get Outside, Get Active With the Kids

If math lessons aren’t your idea of fun family bonding time, then maybe you should just do the bidding yourself. However, you should keep the kids in mind and bid on some fun outdoor equipment for when the weather starts getting nicer again. The good thing about that is most people aren’t looking for pools and trampolines at this time of year, so there will be less competition. If making your kids happy is the goal, trust me, when the UPS man pulls up with a new bike or soccer goal their eyes will light up, even if they can’t use them yet!

DealDash Tips to Save Time

DealDash Saves Time

Some people say that “time is money,” and I am inclined to agree. Here are some time-saving ideas from DealDash.

The first things that come to mind when I think about saving time are clocks and watches. How can you keep track of how much time you’re saving if you don’t have a reliable timepiece? DealDash has many clocks and watches up for auction. They have wall clocks, digital alarm clocks, regular wristwatches, and even occasionally have smartwatches for bid.

Meal Prep With a Vacuum Sealer

When it comes to convenience and saving time you should think about where you feel like you are wasting time. Personally, I feel like I waste a lot of time in the kitchen – cooking 3 meals per day for a family of five really takes up a huge chunk of my time. The way to mitigate some of this time loss is to try to be more efficient in the kitchen. One thing that I have recently started doing is prepping the meat for dinner in bulk. I can buy large packages of meat, separate them into meal sized portions, tenderize, season them, and then use my vacuum sealer to seal them. They will stay quite fresh in the fridge for 3 or 4 days at a time in the fridge. If you buy even larger packages you can prep and vacuum seal them then put them in the freezer for months at a time, then all you have to do is defrost them in the fridge 2 days before you want to use them. If you’re in the market for a food vacuum sealer, be sure to check DealDash first.

Snowblower, Leafblower, Timesaver

If you are spending time raking leaves and shoveling, you are wasting a large portion of your time. If you live somewhere that you are responsible for these tasks, you will save many hours of backbreaking work if you get a leafblower and snowblower. Don’t you want to save both time and energy? Then it’s definitely time to go to DealDash and bid on snowblower and leafblower auctions.

Delegate, Delegate, Delegate

If you have any small humans sharing your house, then it’s time to delegate some of the easier tasks to them! My daughter has been doing her own laundry (for the most part) since she was four years old. She needs help putting in the detergent since I keep it on a high shelf, but other than that she is able to load the washer, transfer the clothes to the dryer, sort, and fold them herself. Other tasks that you might be able to delegate: loading and unloading the dishwasher, feeding and watering the pets, watering the plants, vacuuming, dusting, general picking up, wiping down the appliances, and cleaning the counters.
