Tips for Enjoying DealDash Even MORE

Sometimes you’re a winner on DealDash, and sometimes you end up BINning (Buy It Now) but you should be having a fun time while you are using DealDash. If you’re not enjoying yourself then maybe you should try changing up your method of bidding. Here are some tips and ideas from DealDash.

Switch Up the Style

Most bidders on DealDash have set modus operandi that they follow, but if you want to try something different, why not do the opposite of what you normally do? If you normally do your research (which is a great idea!) why not take a break from that just for a day or two and bid on whatever moves you in the moment?

In contrast, if you are one of those “by the seat of your pants” bidders then slow it down! Do some serious research before bidding, on the product and on the other bidders. It’s fun to change your style sometimes.

It’s fun to change your style sometimes. If you don’t like the results, no problem, just switch back! That’s one of the great things about DealDash, you can bid whenever and however you choose.

Bid With a Friend

Normally I advise you to bid with the BidBuddy, and I still stand by that advice. However, this time I’m talking about sitting with a friend or family member and bidding on an auction together. Only 1 bidding account per household is allowed, but there is no rule against sharing your prize with a friend if you win! Let your friend pick something to bid on, and share it if you win.

Bid at a Different Time

Bidding at a different time can be fun and exciting. If you’re normally an after dinner bidder, bid before you leave for work in the morning. If you normally bid on your lunch hour at work, then bid right before bed. Bidding at different times might yield you different results, and you might just find yourself a new favorite time to bid.

Bid on a Variety of Items

Believe it or not, there are some people on DealDash who only bid on items in certain categories. Personally, I like to spread around the bids and bid in all categories. If you’re not regularly checking out each of the different categories you might miss an amazing auction because you didn’t know it was available.

For example, did you know that DealDash occasionally offers shoes for bid? You might think that they would be located in the Fashion, Health, and Beauty category, but they are actually located in the Hobbies, Toys, Outdoors, and Games category. So you see, it’s a good idea to regularly browse all of the categories so you don’t miss any auctions that you might be interested in bidding on.

Any kind of win is great, but a surprise win on DealDash is extra-special. Have you gotten any surprise wins on DealDash lately? Have you discovered the secret of getting DealDash wins every single day? Everyone needs a little bit of surprise fun in their life. Here are some tips to increase your odds on getting a surprise win.

Use the BidBuddy

You know what the BidBddy is, right? The BidBuddy is an automatic bidding tool on DealDash that will bid for you when you input the number of bids that you are willing to spend on an auction into the BidBuddy box and hit the “Book a BidBuddy” button.

If you are hoping to get a surprise win on DealDash, the BidBuddy is definitely the way to go. If you don’t want to stay to watch the auction, the BidBuddy is a perfect option for you. You can book the BidBuddy and either check back on DealDash later, or receive an email and receive a pleasant surprise to see that you’ve won the auction.

Book Multiple Auctions

Now that you see the value in booking a BidBuddy to get a surprise win, the best way to get that win is to book multiple BidBuddies at the same time. It’s such a fun feeling to see that email from DealDash saying “Congratulations…” and if you have booked multiple BidBuddies you won’t know exactly which auction that you have won until you open the email, which really ups the surprise factor.

If you have 50 bids that you want to “chance” on an auction, and you really don’t mind losing them, why not book 10 different BidBuddies of 5 bids each? You have a fairly low chance of winning any auctions when you are only booking 5 bids each, but wow, what a fun surprise if you were to actually win an auction! If you’d still like to spread the bids around in hopes of getting a surprise, why not book 10 bids on 5 different auctions? You have a higher chance of winning by booking 10 bids instead of 5, and it will still be a fun surprise to see if you happen to win any of them.

DealDash Tips to Use Bids Wisely

Using your DealDash bids wisely is very important. If you’re not bidding wisely you’re wasting money.

Do you have hundreds and hundreds of DealDash bids? Great! I’m very happy to hear that you have a wealth of DealDash bids to use. However, just because you have lots of bids to spare doesn’t mean that you should waste them or use them any less wisely than if you only had a few. The more bids that you use wisely the happier you will be. Here are some tips on how to use your bids wisely.

Do Your Research

Bidding wisely means making sure that you really really want the item before you start bidding. If you have put in a few bids while you are looking up the item, and after doing your research decide that you don’t actually want the item, you’ve wasted some bids! Do your research before the auction starts!

Make a Budget

If you’ve decided that you are going to buy 200 bids per week to use on DealDash, then you should plan out how you will use them before the auctions start. Don’t use up your entire budget on the first day, decide what you really want to win on DealDash, and save your bids for that item. If you put your entire bid budget on the one item that you really want instead of splitting up the bids on items you aren’t as sure about, then it makes a lot of sense to use the BIN (Buy It Now) option, purchasing the item so you can get all of your bids back.

Use the Bookmark Option

Don’t waste a bid “saving” the auctions that you are merely considering. Use the “Bookmark” option. Bookmarking is available on every single auction, and will save you many, many bids if you have been saving auctions by spending a bid on them to save them. To bookmark an auction, simply click the little star on the top right corner of the auction on the main page. The star will turn yellow, and that means that it’s bookmarked. Easy!

DealDash Tips for Balanced Bidding

What do I mean by “balanced bidding?” Balanced bidding is a technique I like to use to ensure that I am not wasting too many bids at once on the same auction. Balanced bidding is important because even though you can get bids on DealDash at a very low price they still add up pretty quickly and you can bust your budget quickly if you aren’t thrifty and frugal with your bidding. Here are some ideas to keep your bidding balanced and your budget in check.

If you’re bidding in more than 2 or 3 auctions at one time I would advise you to stop. If you’re letting your attention go in 6 different directions and aren’t paying attention to the auctions that you are the most interested in, then you’re not practicing balanced bidding. The BidBuddy is there to help you every step of the way, of course, but if you’re participating in a few hot auctions at once you’ll want to try and monitor your BidBuddies that you have set up. You’ll want to monitor them to ensure that they have enough bids, that you aren’t coming too close to the BIN (Buy It Now) price, and once the auction has gotten down to just a couple of bidders it’s smart to keep an eye on the auction.

Part of balanced bidding also includes not “stomping” on other people’s bids – it’s not only a waste of bids but also makes people upset at you and more likely to bid against you out of spite when they might have otherwise moved on to another auction.

Balanced bidding is an important part of enjoying your time on DealDash, and making sure that you are using your bids wisely. When you use your bids wisely, use your friend the BidBuddy, use the awesome BIN feature, and are a polite bidder you will have the maximum amount of fun on DealDash. And isn’t fun what auctions and entertainment shopping is all about?
