One of my very most favorite promotions is the “50 (or 75 or 100!) Auctions Start at the Same Time”. I have found that this is an excellent time to get a sneaky win in. What’s Going on Today?

When 50 auctions begin at once on DealDash there is usually a huge flurry of bidding as people are trying to get a win for just a few bids. Sometimes people are so focused on getting a big win for a couple of bids they ignore the smaller auctions that are starting. That would be a mistake! There are lots of great auctions that will start today at the same time, and it would not be prudent to ignore the smaller items.

Small Items You Should Check Out

While it might be exciting to get a really big win during a promotion, it’s still an amazing feeling to get a smaller win as well. There are tons of items that it would be worthwhile to check out even though they aren’t considered a “big win”. Here are some that you might come across today:

  • Clothing – When you think “big win” you probably aren’t thinking about clothing. However, there are some nice clothing items on DealDash that you shouldn’t ignore. Boxers, shoes, and ties are just a few of the clothing items that you can find on DealDash.
  • Jewelry – The jewelry you find on DealDash is much nicer than the jewelry you will find at your local discount store. It’s high-quality fashion jewelry that won’t break the bank. So you decided to sign up for a DealDash account? Great! There are a few things that you’re going to want to keep in mind as you are exploring the website. Don’t worry, we won’t get into anything too difficult or technical. These are just some DealDash basics. Read on for more information.

BidBuddy, Every Time

New bidders on DealDash might not have heard of the BidBuddy. I’m here to tell you that your BidBuddy is your #1 tool to help you win DealDash auctions. The BidBuddy is just as easy (or even easier!) than placing single bids in an auction. It might sound a little intimidating at first, but you will be very glad that you met the BidBuddy once you start using him to win auctions.

The BidBuddy is on each and every auction that’s held on DealDash. There is no extra charge to use him. Not knowing how to use the BidBuddy is not a problem, you can follow these easy directions:

  1. Choose an auction you would like to win
  2. Find the box in the auction that says “Book a BidBuddy”
  3. Type in the number of bids you choose to spend
  4. Hit Enter

That’s it! When the auction begins the BidBuddy will bid for you. If the auction is already in progress then he will begin immediately.

Search or Browse

If you are just starting out, you might not realize all of the ways that you can find auctions that you would like to participate in. For starters, you can just go to the main DealDash page and see the auctions that are currently in process. If you scroll down to the bottom you will see page numbers that you can scroll through to see what’s coming up next. Next, you can look at the drop-down menu on the main page. It shows all of the different categories on DealDash, in case you’re just looking for a general type of product. Finally, you can type anything you want into the search box, and you will be returned results of auctions that are happening now or in the future.

Some of these tips you might be familiar with, and others you might not have thought of before. However, all of them are great tips that you will be glad that you tried.

Plan Ahead

There are a lot of things that you can do to plan ahead for an auction on DealDash. Of course, you’ll want to pick an auction that is convenient for you. If this is a special auction to you then you will want to make sure that you are there to watch it, even if you are letting the BidBuddy take care of the bidding for you.

You will also want to be sure that you have enough bids to see the auction through to the end. If you’re bidding on an item that is $100, then you know that 50 bids probably isn’t enough. You want to have enough bids to reach the BIN (Buy It Now) price, so in case you don’t win the auction you can always BIN it afterward and get your bids back.

Don’t Bid When You’re Not at Your Best

There are many reasons that you might not be at your best. You might be tired, hungry, or maybe just in a bad mood. Any of these things can have an impact on your bidding. You don’t want these things to interfere with your bidding on an important item, so be sure that you are at your best while bidding.

Another thing that can cause you to not be at your best is if there are too many distractions. If you have visitors in your home, if your kids are being extra rowdy or anything else that can be distracting, then you need to change the situation. You can either try to remove yourself from the distractions or decide to step back and bid another day.

Tips to Rule the Roost on DealDash

Ruling the roost means that you’re in control. So are you in control of the DealDash auctions that you’re bidding on?

Being in control of the auctions that you’re bidding on is important if you want to establish yourself as a strong bidder on DealDash. There are certain ways that you can be taken more seriously when you’re bidding. Here are some suggestions from the DealDash Tips Blog.

Bid Early and Often

Many people like to get their bids in early so they aren’t locked out when the auction hits the $5 No Jumper limit. However, many, many people seem to just put in one bid to save their place. Sure, putting in 1 bid to save your place is a good idea. However, an even better idea would be to stick around and keep bidding. This is especially true if there aren’t many people bidding in the auction. If you can establish yourself as a bidder who bids from the beginning and keeps on bidding until the end, then you will be well on your way to ruling the roost.

Let the Stompers Stomp

Stompers are those people who bid directly after you and cheat you out of your “clock time” that you are collecting to get free bids from DealDash. They are extremely annoying and tend to make people quite angry when they do this. I have seen the scenario play out time and time again – a few people will be bidding on an auction, using the BidBuddy so all bidders are getting their allotted clock time. Then in pops a stomper and starts bidding directly after every single person. Usually, one of the “fair” bidders will get upset and try to out-stomp the stomper. This results in both the stomper and the fair bidder to use up lots of bids, get frustrated, and leave the auction.

It makes a lot more sense to simply let your BidBuddy do it’s work and not interfere with the auction. The stomper typically stops stomping after a short while, because they are spending so many more bids than they would if they just used the BidBuddy. For example, if there are 10 bidders in the auction that were taking turns with their BidBuddies, the stomper is using 10 bids to 1 of the other bidder’s bids. So when the other bidders have used 10 bids, the stomper has used 100. This is why it’s a much better plan to just let them stomp, they will tire of it pretty quickly and move on.
