Time Tips for Bidding on Kid’s DealDash Items

DealDash

You can win auctions all day on DealDash. When is the best time to bid on items? Read on for more information.

There is a winner on DealDash every few minutes, all day long, 24 hours a day, 7 days per week. It’s kind of exhausting just to think about! However, there are certain times that are good to bid, and other times where it is more difficult to win. There are also certain times of day when it’s easier to win particular items. This article will explain that in more depth, so read on for more information from DealDash.

Best Times for Kid Items

I find the best times to bid on kid items are late at night. Why is this? Because the majority of people who are bidding on kid’s items are parents and grandparents. If you are a parent, then you are most likely getting up early in the morning with the kids, making their breakfast, and tending to their needs. This can be very tiring, and most parents of younger kids tend to go to bed on the earlier side.

Grandparents are the other people who you will be competing with for kid’s items on DealDash, and they also tend to get up earlier on average. It’s only natural that people who get up earlier would go to bed earlier. So if it’s kid and baby items that you are seeking, then late at night would be your best time to bid.

Best Times in General

Personally, the best times that I find to bid in general are very, very early in the morning, or later in the morning before lunch. I am on the East Coast, so you’ll have to adjust your times accordingly if you are elsewhere. I find that in the extremely early morning is a great time to bid. I’m talking 4 or 5 AM. This is because even the latest night owls on the West Coast have mostly gone to bed, and there aren’t a lot of people on the East Coast that are up, awake, and ready to bid.

Another great time to bid is a little later in the morning, around 7 or 8 AM. This is because the West Coasters are not awake and bidding for the most part, and the East Coast people are getting ready for work, sending the kids off to school, or sitting in traffic. Of course, your results will vary, but these are slower times in my opinion. And if you really want the item that you are bidding on, simply do a BIN (Buy It Now) and you will receive all of the bids that you placed back into your account.

MORE DealDash Tips for Expecting Parents

more new baby dealdash

There’s no need to fear, new parent! DealDash is here to give you even more tips on shopping for the new baby.

If you read the last installment of DealDash Tips for Expecting Parents you’ll know that having everything prepared and ready to go for the baby can help ease the stress and worry a little bit. DealDash is here to let you know what else you might need for your new little bundle of joy. Read on for even more shopping tips.

The Baby Needs a Walker

Baby walkers can be a good tool to help your baby get around as long as you use them responsibly. The baby can sit in the walker comfortably and learn how to use their little legs to move around. This strengthens the legs and gets them used to putting a little bit of weight on their feet. Most baby walkers are adjustable. The walker that my baby has adjusts to three different heights. He is 12 months old and has been using it since he was able to sit up by himself.

I mentioned using the baby walker responsibly. Make sure that someone is watching the baby while they are walking around so they don’t pull anything heavy down on top of them or take anything dangerous off of a table while they are scooting around. Also please be careful that there are no stairways that the baby could accidentally roll down – please use them on your ground floor only. Use caution, be safe, and watch your little baby have fun walking around. My older kids love to chase the baby around the house when he is in his walker. DealDash often has baby walkers available for auction.

The Baby Needs a Play Yard

A Pack N’ Play or portable play yard is exactly what you need to put your baby into while you are busy doing chores that would prevent you from keeping a close eye on your baby. The play yard is the new version of the “playpen” from when we were younger. The play yard is smaller and is foldable and extremely portable.

When the baby is a newborn they can use it as a bassinet, when they are small they can use it as a playpen, and when they are bigger you can use it to store all of their toys when they aren’t playing with them.

The play yard is also extremely handy to have when you travel with the baby. All three of my babies spent time sleeping in a Pack N’ Play at some point or another. They are fairly inexpensive and I would suggest getting one. DealDash often has Pack N’ Plays available for auction.

The Baby Needs a Swing/Glider

A baby swing is one of those pieces of baby equipment that you think you might not need – until your baby just won’t stop screaming! If you have a fussy baby sometimes all they need is a nice ride in the swing/glider to make them feel better. My 12-month-old was a very fussy infant and sometimes the swing was the only place he would let me put him instead of carrying or wearing him. The swing was a real back-saver! DealDash often has baby swings available for auction.

DealDash Tips for Expecting Parents

dealdash tips pregnant

Expecting a baby can be a little scary. DealDash can give you some tips on shopping for the new baby.

Having your first baby can be especially scary, though the subsequent babies can be a little frightening as well! Having everything prepared and ready to go for the baby can help ease the stress and worry a little bit. DealDash can’t come to the delivery room with you, but can certainly help you get the baby supplies ready. Read on for some shopping tips.

The Baby Needs a Crib

Co-sleeping is very popular in some areas of the world, but doctors in America usually advise against it. I personally co-slept with one out of my three children, it was the only way that I could get any sleep! Even though I co-slept with her, I still had a crib left over from my first, and she took her naps in the crib. I would advise every parent to have a crib available even if you are planning on co-sleeping. DealDash often has cribs available for auction.

If you don’t want (or have space for) a full crib you can always use a Pack N’ Play or portable play yard as an impromptu crib. These are also extremely handy to have when you travel with the baby. All three of my babies spent time sleeping in a Pack N’ Play at some point or another. They are fairly inexpensive and I would suggest getting one. DealDash often has Pack N’ Plays available for auction.

The Baby Needs a Car Seat and Stroller

Many hospitals won’t let you take your baby out of the hospital without a car seat. For the first 6 months or so most babies ride around in a “baby bucket” type car seat that snaps into a base in the car and can also snap into certain strollers. The baby bucket is extremely useful and makes life a lot easier. It’s much faster to snap the bucket in and out rather than removing the baby. The combination of the baby bucket and the stroller that it snaps into is called a “travel system,” and DealDash often has them available for auction.

The Baby Needs a Baby Monitor

Once you have gotten your little bundle of joy home you’ll want to keep them under your watchful eye. Hopefully you’ll have an easy baby who will sleep by themselves and take lots of naps. This is when a baby monitor comes in extremely handy – you’ll be able to eat and shower while still keeping track of your baby. DealDash often has baby monitors available for auction.

DealDash Tips to Keep Creative Kids Occupied

DealDash Tips Purple Galaxy

The trouble with this weather is that it’s very hard to keep the kids occupied. Here are some tips from DealDash how to keep your kids entertained while stuck inside.

It is very important that you encourage your children to get creative and “think outside of the box” when it comes to keeping themselves entertained. DealDash wants to help your kids use their imaginations so they can learn to keep themselves occupied without the use of TV, iPads, and computers. Not that there’s anything wrong with some screen time every day, but there should be a lot of “imagination time” as well. Here are some tips from DealDash to get your kids (or grandkids) interested in entertaining themselves.

Dress Up

Both boys and girls love to play dress up, normally the girls enjoy dressing as their favorite Disney princesses and boys like to be tiny pirates or firemen. Here’s a tip – save their Halloween costumes! Most Halloween costumes are meant to be worn over clothing anyway, and tend to run very big. My daughter is still able to wear her Minne Mouse and Cinderella dresses from 2 and 3 years ago when she plays dress up.

Pretend Food and Kitchen

Most kids also enjoy playing with pretend plastic food. It’s a little surprising to me, but the $10 set of pretend plastic food that I bought for our playroom a few years ago still gets played with at least 5 times a week! Since the pretend food was such a hit I ended up getting a whole kitchen set, tea set, pots and pans, and appliances for the kids to play with. This type of play is excellent for their imaginations, and it’s very funny to see what kind of “meals” they end up making. Banana-tomato-pickle smoothie, anyone?

Cash Register and Store

Another thing that sees a lot of use in our playroom is the cash register set. We actually have had to replace the original cash register because it got so much use! The kids love to make a pretend store with some of the toys from the playroom and they take turns being the cashier and the customer. This is also a great activity to learn the value of different coins, and do simple addition and subtraction.
