Gear Up for Camping & Hiking with DealDash

DealDash is gearing up for camping season. Are you? For avid campers like me and my family, DealDash is a great place to find everything you need to make camping a wonderful experience over the summer. While tents may not be a daily item offered on DealDash, they do come up for auction so when you find something you like, set those alerts to make sure you are notified by email when they are up for bids. Search for tent, cot tent and pop-up canopy to make sure you’ve got not only a place to sleep, but something to cover the picnic table as well!

Important DealDash Tips for May

Welcome to the May DealDash Tips blog! I hope your May is going well so far. Here are some important tips for using DealDash in May.

There are some great things going on this month on DealDash. You won’t want to miss some of the great promotions and bid sales that are happening this month. The most important tip of the month is to be sure that you are going on DealDash and bidding! There’s no time like the present. Read this article and then head on over to DealDash and check out the new items.

Return of the Mystery Items

You might have noticed last month that DealDash has been offering some mystery items up for bid. The way this works is this:

An auction will appear on your home screen that says it’s a mystery auction
There will be a timer counting down to when you can see the item
When the timer runs down to 5 minutes the item will be revealed

The benefit to a mystery auction is that no one can bid on it way in advance like the other auctions. You have to be present, either on your computer or on your smartphone, to bid on the item when it’s revealed. Therefore, there is much less competition for these items.

More Promotions

In the Month of May, you will be seeing a lot of amazing promotions. For example, today all auction wins are 50% off! This gives you an excellent chance to save some money! The way that 50% auctions work is simple. You bid as your normally would, and when you win you only have to pay HALF of the final auction fee. Pretty cool, right? This means that you can bid even more if you plan on Buying It Now (BIN) because when you are calculating how many bids it will take to reach the BIN price you only have to estimate for half of the auction fee. It’s a great way to save money and have more fun bidding.

“ There are often “badge challenges” that can net you either free bids or super-special discounted prices on bids. You never know what might be going on with the badge challenges, so be sure to check in often.”

DealDash Tips: New Mystery Auctions

DealDash has been rolling out many fun new features recently. What’s your favorite?

Have you noticed that DealDash keeps adding more and more fun new features to the website? They are really putting the “entertainment” back into “shopping entertainment”, which is DealDash’s category online. If you want some fun and excitement while you’re shopping online, then DealDash is the place to be! They are open 24/7, 365 days per year. Yup, they are even open on Christmas day for your bidding enjoyment. Read on for information about a new DealDash special feature.

Mystery Auctions

Mystery auctions are a brand new feature that I have not seen on DealDash before. How they work is simple to understand, though. When you sign into your account, if there is a mystery auction starting soon, you will see the picture to the above right – a purple rectangle with a question mark. It will also have a timer. The timer indicates when the mystery auction will be revealed so you can see what is up for bid. You cannot open up the auction or place any bids into the BidBuddy before the auction is revealed. After the mystery auction has been revealed it will be open for bidding 5 minutes later.

The nice thing about a mystery auction, and why this is such an exciting new feature is because you can only join the auction if you’re currently online. Since you can’t pre-book your BidBuddy, you have to wait patiently for the auction to be revealed. This way, there will be less competition for the item. In the case above, the mystery item was a $100 Wal*Mart gift card. This is a very hot auction item that typically ends with a fairly high final auction value. However, since you had to currently be online to see it and bid on it, the competition was significantly less, as you can see from the picture below.

As you can see, there are less than 30 people bidding in this auction. That is a far cry from the typical 100 or so that would be vying for this awesomely popular gift card. In short, the new mystery auction feature will give you an even better chance of getting an amazing deal on DealDash.
