Win Small Items First

Getting started on DealDash just takes a moment, and before you know it you’ll be ready to bid on auctions. How will you know what to bid on first? I’ll be the first to admit that when I first started on DealDash I had no idea what I was doing and wasted quite a few bids as I was figuring out what I was doing.

One of the biggest mistakes that I made right away was to bid on items that were too big and expensive. Now, that’s not to say that a newbie couldn’t win a big expensive auction, but it’s unlikely. This is because there are so many people that are interested in big expensive items, and many of them have been bidding on DealDash for years and have developed a good technique. As a newbie, it makes much more sense for you to bid on easier and less competitive auctions.

Things like lower value gift cards, jewelry, flashlights, games and Blu-Rays tend to have less competition than expensive items like laptops, iPads, and video game consoles. Of course, bid on whatever you feel like using your bids on, but it’s significantly more likely that you will win a terrific smaller item as a newbie.

Always Use BidBuddy

If you’re a newbie you should definitely acquaint yourself with my pal, the BidBuddy. The BidBuddy will bid for you when you aren’t at your computer, or when you are but would prefer to watch the action closely instead of concentrating on bidding. Holiday bidding can go two ways – sometimes it’s not very busy at all because people are busy with their loved ones. Other times it can get very busy because DealDash always has great sales and promotions on holidays. If I had to guess, judging by previous years, there won’t be very much bidding going on later in the evening on New Year’s Eve. I would guess that there will be even less during the early morning hours on New Year’s Day. Of course, with DealDash you really never know what’s going to happen! That’s the fun of DealDash. However, if you’re busy during these times, no problem. You can always use your BidBuddy to bid for you when you aren’t available.

Welcome, January! As the last days of December pass us by we are trekking through the snow and ice to January. As cold and snowy as it is outside, don’t you need some new winter items from DealDash? DealDash carries a variety of products that are just perfect to use in the winter. If you need a little help figuring out how to win them, read this article for more information.

Identify What You Need

What sort of winter items are you looking for? DealDash has some nice items that would be just right for your home. Some of these items include snow tubes, coats, cold weather sleeping bags, and also things like candles that are perfect for a cold night at home.

In addition to these fun winter items, DealDash also has “not so fun” but essential products such as umbrellas, snow throwers, shovels, and more. No matter if you’re looking for fun and adventure in the snow or the hard labor of clearing your driveway, DealDash has you covered. So decide what you need, then move on to the nest step.

Bookmarking and Alerts on DealDash

Sometimes the thing you need isn’t available on DealDash at the very moment that you are looking for it. However, never fear, because DealDash has both bookmarking and alerts to help you. Bookmarking is so you can remember where an auction is that is starting in the near future so you don’t need to search for it again. You use bookmarking when the auction is starting in the next few days, and you want to keep an eye on it. Just click the star in the upper right corner, and the auction will be moved to your home page where the active auctions are.

Alerts are a different story. You use an alert when there is an item that you want on DealDash, but there isn’t an auction scheduled to start in the near future. Search for just about anything that you can think of, and click on the picture when it comes up. If there isn’t an auction scheduled for that item in the near future you will see a little button that says “Alert Me”. Just click that button and DealDash will send you an email when they have scheduled an auction that that item, and then again when it is about to start. I don’t know if this is just a coincidence or not, but I find that when I hit the Alert Me button DealDash seems to email me within a few days that the item is coming up for auction. My theory is that when enough people hit the Alert Me button on a particular product DealDash schedules an auction for that item. However, I don’t know if that is the case or not. Give it a try!

Now, if you are a regular bidder on DealDash then you are probably used to winning. However, no matter how many auctions you win, you’ll want to win more auctions with bigger prizes. Here are some tips to get you on your way to even more wins than before.

Bid in Your Budget

A way to be sure that you’re getting the most wins for your money is to be sure that you’re bidding within your budget. When you take the time to plan out your budget and stick to it, then you will be able to maximize your wins on DealDash. And we all want to maximize our wins. So take a little time before you get started bidding and plan out your budget.

Leave Yourself Enough Time to Bid

Another way that will get you onto the DealDash Winner’s List is to be sure that you have enough time to complete an auction before you join in. Some auctions, especially for higher-priced items can go for hours and hours. I have even participated in a few auctions that went overnight and into the next day. If you don’t leave yourself time to complete the auction, though, you run the risk of not winning the auction. Of course, you can always set up your BidBuddy to get you through until you can come back to the computer. However, personally, if I am participating in an unusually large or expensive auction I like to stick close to my computer and check the auction every half hour or so. It’s up to you! That’s the beauty of DealDash. You can bid your way, which is any way that you like.
