Using BidBuddy to Win DealDash Auctions and Save Money

Do you know about DealDash’s “BidBuddy” feature? Bid Buddy is a great feature to help you save both time and money when you are trying to bid to win the auctions on DealDash.

What is BidBuddy?
BidBuddy is an automatic bidding tool that will bid for you when you tell it how many bids you want it to bid for you
Pros of Using BidBuddy
You know the times where you get bored of watching the screen and clicking the bid button – especially after you’ve been bidding for at least an hour, right? Well now if you use bid buddy and set how many bids you want to spend to win say — 100 bids, you can set it and leave it or set it and watch it if you’d like.
Competitive advantage: Other users don’t know that you’re on BidBuddy, but take note… They could be on bid buddy too. BidBuddy bids at periodic periods during the auction, it could bid for you in the very last few seconds or it could bid a little bit earlier too. If another bidder is on bid buddy their bids will be placed, then your bids will be placed. Basically, everyone who is on bid buddy will take turns placing bids until all the bids from one bidder’s BidBuddy runs out. As soon as you book your BidBuddy, one bid will be place right away – once the auction has begun) and the rest will be booked and placed periodically.
BidBuddy may help you save money in bids as it will spend a set, controlled amount of bids at various times towards the end of an auction. This could help you save if you 1.) forget to bid and lose auctions or, 2.) are trigger happy and kind of impatient – causing you to spend more money than necessary to try and win.
Intimidation in consistency. You could intimidate other bidders to the point where they give up when they see that you are consistently bidding.
Internet failure/faulty computer? The most frustrating thing is spending money on bids to try and win a penny auction only to find that suddenly you’ve lost Internet connection… This happens sometimes, and since BidBuddy will keep bidding for you even long after your computer has been shut off or Internet disconnects (as long as you have enough bids set in the BidBuddy) you won’t have to worry about losing because you can’t bid anymore. BidBuddy is the surest way to stay in the auction in the event of network problems or computer glitches.
What happens if you put 300 bids on BidBuddy and win the auction with only 20?
All of the bids that you have entered into the BidBuddy system over the bids already used will be placed back into your account. So you will only spend what has been placed.
It’s good to still watch an auction and not walk away from it, but say you’re busy or won’t be by a computer and really want to try to win an item… A BidBuddy is a perfect option for when you don’t have time to bid and could be a pleasant surprise to check it later and see that you’ve won just be sure that you are ok with losing the # of bids entered if you end up not winning the item.
Cons of Using BidBuddy
Since the BidBuddy bids when it wants to and you don’t have as much control over it you could be bidding prematurely (it’s always hard to say) and could be bidding against a lot of others with BidBuddy, so until their BidBuddies run out you really have less of a chance of winning and as always it’s hard to predict when an auction might win. However, you can control how many bids are placed and you can stop the BidBuddy at any time.
How to Use BidBuddy?
On each auction page is the bid button “Bid Now” and the BidBuddy – your automatic bidding tool – see the blank white space? That’s where you book your BidBuddy – enter the number of bids you want to spend and then click “Book BidBuddy” your BidBuddy will now be set and ready to bid for you. So set it and sit back and watch the auction!

Do you use BidBuddy when you bid in DealDash’s auctions?
Here’s what other bidders have to say about BidBuddy:
PACKERS42 says:
“I agree with all the other post that have been posted.
BID BUDDY is the way to go when you really want the item your bidding on.
I hate when people keep jumping bids and think they are gonna win by wasting their bids and other bidders bids. All their doing is driving up the price and not getting their time in to get free bids.
Isn’t it all about getting a deal?
Note to all team players on dealdash:
“IF I SEE IT I REPORT IT”
HAVE A GREAT DAY & GOOD LUCK”

Wvajan shares:
How do you stay motivated? My answer is quite simple. Use the bid Buddy! Greatest tool on the site because you can load it with the number of bids you want and forget for awhile. I always come back and check my bids just in case it is down and I need to add more.
I have been on Deal Dash for over a year and have won a lot of nice things really cheap. My time that I bid is in early in morning and around 430-500pm. This seems to be the best time since I am in the eastern zone.
I also watch the winners list to see what people are paying for the item I like to bid on.
Gumball tells us:
I love Deal Dash! I have been able to win some great gifts for my family (especially around the holidays…with 5 kids and 12 grandchildren every little bit helps lol). I don’t like those that ‘stomp’ as not all of us have the extra money to buy bids all the time & we like earning our free bids. I do like that DD places win limits to make it fair for everyone & what a nice bonus to get free bids when you’ve been able to reach new levels! Thanks DealDash 🙂

So as you can see, BidBuddy is a favorite of many expert bidders. Try it and tell us what you think!
Good luck and happy bidding!

If you are new to DealDash what would you like to see or win in 2014?
So far today, in this new year, bidders have been getting great deals!
An Official MLB w/ display box just sold with no bids.
Schwinn 26-inch Meridian 3-Wheel Bike ended at $3.23 (323 bids),
a 200 bids bid pack for $0.20,

Philips 2000 Series 39-inch Class LED Smart HDTV $2.41 – that’s just $40 in bids spent by all bidders if all bids purchased were at $0.17 each!dealdash_smart_hdtv_led

Won by first time winner scottam2. Notice how bidders DebbiChan and jwcharles3 seemed to be consistently bidding against one another? Perhaps because soma21jarra came in and placed a bid then jwcharles3 placed one right after, Debbichan or jwcharles3 expected one or the other to place a bid, neither did and new bidder scottam2 bid and won. Congratulations scottam2! Another possibility could be that jwcharles3 and Debbichan were bidding on autobidder and both ran out of bids? Just speculating.
T-Mobile Nokia Lumia Smartphone $1.96 – that’s only 196 bids, and bids are currently $0.17 a piece for New Year’s – $33 spent by all bidders if they purchased bids at $0.17 each. Some bids could’ve been won with bid pack wins, too. So great deal overall.
There’s even a Toshiba Kirabook 13.3-inch Laptop ($1300 value) that ended for $14.72 lastnight.

DealDash Demystified

New to DealDash and have never heard of penny auctions before?
It’s about time you did. You could be missing out on some great deals!

dealdash.com
What Is DealDash?

DealDash.com is a pay-per bid auction, popularly known as a “penny auction.”
DealDash launched in the United States in February of 2009 and is the longest running penny auction site of its kind.
What does it mean to pay-per bid, and what’s a penny auction?
Penny auctions operate a bit differently from traditional online auctions where the last bidder to place a bid wins.
First, all auctions on DealDash start at $0.00 and have no price reserves. Each bid placed raises the auction price by $0.01 and the time on the auction clock by 10 seconds.
To bid you have to first register, next, buy bid credits.

Bids on DealDash.com are $0.60 each, but with the current Christmas Gift Clearance promotion bids are just $0.18 a piece.
Bids must be purchased in bid packs ranging  in packages of 200 ($36), 450 ($81), 950 ($171), 1,500 ($270) all the way up to 2,500 ($450).  dealdash-tutorial2
How do you win an auction?
The object of winning an auction on DealDash is to be the last bidder to bid when the timer hits 0. In other words, there must be no opposing bidders to place a bid after you have.
There’s no telling how many bids you will have to place before you win.
You could win an item with just 1 bid, or 100+ bids.
What’s the catch? There really isn’t one.
Say you’re a photographer and really want to win a new Canon lens, so far you have spent a bunch of money on bids trying to win it, and suddenly you get distracted by something else on the Internet, or your Internet connection mysteriously disconnects, bummer.
You were either already going to purchase the same lens and were just trying to score a deal, or you don’t care that you lost money. If you were wanting to purchase the lens before you started to bid, you’re in luck.

DealDash’s “Buy-it-Now” saves the day!
On DealDash if you don’t win an auction, you can use “Buy it Now” and get all of the bids you placed back for free. You can rest assured that the item is brand new and backed by the manufacturer. Payments are accepted by either credit card or PayPal.

What other items can be won?

DealDash auctions include major league baseball memorabilia, digital cameras, surveillance systems, iPads, bid pack auctions, small household kitchen appliances (Keurigs and K-Cup too!), and tools, video games, game systems, gift cards, CDs, water bottles, laundry detergent, seasonal items, kitchen tools, Bose speakers, GPS’s, laptops, iPods, and so much more.
What do you do once you’ve won?
After you win an auction be sure to go to “My dashboard” and your “Won auctions” to pay the final end price for your win. All items are shipped for free within 10 days.
How many items can you win?
You can win 6 products worth $200 or less and 3 valued at over $200 per week. Once you’re logged in there’s an indicator on the top of the site that keeps track of how many items you’ve won for you.
For 1 bid you can see who is at their “win limit.”
All items on DealDash are brand new and come with standard manufacturer warranties.

DealDash has over 2 million registered customers, won’t there be a lot of competition?

DealDash knows that the auctions are competitive, that’s why all auctions are “No Jumper” auctions. This means that after the auction price reaches $5.00, no new bidders can enter and try to win an item.

Why would you really want to even bid on a penny auction site that didn’t have buy it now? Try DealDash.com for yourself, you will see just how risk free it is!

7 Tips For Staying Focused on Your Auctions

FocusedIt’s easy to lose an auction. That is, if you’re not paying attention. Keep your eyes on the prize and don’t lose focus.

  • Don’t bid and multitask
  • Don’t bid and drive
  • Don’t bid and talk on the phone
  • Don’t bid while cooking dinner – or washing dishes – yeah, if you do that you may need to bid on a new smartphone or laptop 😉
  • Don’t bid then walk away from the computer for a minute, or even 7 seconds.
  • Don’t bid when your computer is about to do an automatic update
  • Don’t bid when you’re not paying attention

Okay, so it may seem pretty simple to stay focused on the auction you’re bidding on, but sometimes it really can be a challenge, especially if the auction has been going on for awhile.
It’s easy to get bored while bidding and even easily to open up a new tab and start browsing, playing a game or bidding in another auction even, so, with that said here are 7 tips to stay focused.
#1 Minimize Distractions
Before you start bidding make sure you are able to focus on the auction for as long as you decide you are going to watch and bid on the auction.  Set aside time to bid where you won’t get distracted. Find a quiet place to bid. Put headphones on maybe. If you have a hard time focusing on more than one thing. Turn your phone ringer off – set it to silent until the auction is over, or until you win. You’ll save yourself frustration and the other person on the line won’t be wondering why you keep freaking out.
#2 Set up BidBuddy – BidBuddy is DealDash’s automatic bidding tool that will let you set a predetermined number of bids, as many that you’d like to spend to try and win the item. It will only use your bids during the last few seconds of the timer. Others may be on BidBuddy too, and you won’t know it, but they also won’t know that you’re on bidbuddy. So set it and forget it, but really don’t forget it… Still watch and see where you’re at and how the auction is doing.
#3 Don’t multitask. Don’t open up new browsers and start surfing the Internet. Really, it’s easy to open up a new page and check something else out Online only to find when you switch back the auction ended and you lost your bids. Or – opening new browsers could freeze up your computer and not even let you get back on DealDash.
#4 Update & Clean Your Computer Make sure your computer’s software is up to date before you start bidding. A scheduled automatic update could suddenly force your computer to restart mid-auction. Also, make sure your computer is virus, spyware and adware free before you start bidding. Pop-ups and browser hijacking due to viruses and trojans will only wreck havoc, you’ll be unable to focus on an auction if you can’t get back in it. Some good, free software to use to clean your computer: AdAware, SpyBot Search & Destroy, Malwarebytes, Avast and AVG AntiVirus.

#5 Finish your chores first

Make sure dinner is already done. Laundry & dishes already started. Your homework or work obligations done. Your kids occupied or in bed. If you put off your obligations until the last minute and decide to take a break from them to bid, you are more likely to get distracted and lose an auction. So make sure that everything you need to do for the day is already taken care of before you start bidding.
#6 Train your mind to focus
Really, it seems easier than it is. It’s easy to get distracted while bidding, or while doing anything. Stop yourself if you’re beginning to lose focus. Apply this to all areas of your life, not just bidding, and you may just find more success when you manage your time and focus on the task at hand.  Start small with maybe just a few minutes a day and work up to larger amounts of time. If you find your mind wandering, just go back to bidding or whatever it is you’re working on.
#7 Set Goals and Time
Before you go into bidding write down how much money you want to spend at max to try to win an auction. Set how much time you want to spend bidding. Keep within this timeframe or budget and you will be less likely to lose focus on bidding.
What do you do to keep your eye on the prize and focus on the auction or task at hand? Tell us in the comments section!
Now is the best time to stay focused and try DealDash. Right now bids are only $0.15 each!
