Contacting DealDash

Did you ever contact DealDash.com?

When it comes to shopping online, one of my pet peeves has always been companies that hide their contact information and make it extremely difficult to get in touch with them.

This is not true of DealDash. Contacting DealDash is so easy. We can contact DealDash by chat, phone call, Facebook, or email. That is one of the things I love most about DealDash. Customer service is always just a click or two away.

When I shop on DealDash, I feel like they are as close to me as my next-door neighbor. Often times I can get a response to a question within a few minutes.

Facebook

One of my favorite ways to get in touch with a DealDash representative is through Facebook Messenger. The old ways of handwriting letters to family and friends and waiting a week or two for a response by mail are long gone. Now I open Facebook every day to stay in touch with family and friends throughout the country (and world whenever they are traveling abroad). Since I open Facebook so often, it is very convenient to contact a DealDash representative while I am already there.

Email

It is also very easy to contact DealDash by email, too.  Go to the DealDash home page where the auctions are listed, scroll to the bottom of the page, and look under the header “About.” On the bottom right of the home page you will see a big yellow “Contact Support” header. Click on one of those many options and you can soon be talking to a DealDash representative who can help you and/or answer all of your questions.

You can also find job listings here as well, along with some of the benefits of working for this awesome company.

Do the Math

Before doing any serious bidding, I follow a certain process. When I look for an auction product I might be able to win, first I consider both the known and unknown factors.

Known Factors

  • After the auction reaches the $5 and “No New Bidders” are allowed, I look at auctions of 30 competitors or less.
  • I check to see if the best-known power bidders have already been eliminated.
  • Over the last seven times this auction was listed, I check the average closing cost and the average number of bids used to win.
  • I check to see if any of the active competitors recently won a large bid pack?
  • I check the experience level of the active competitors.

This morning I started bidding for  the Bolvaint Leather Gloves Women’s – XL, with a retail price of $350.00. There were 27 bidders in this auction. The power bidders have already been eliminated. Five out of the last seven times this auction was listed, it closed for $10.29 or less and five out of the last seven times, the winners used 300 bids or less. None of the three active competitors left in the auction won any recent auctions. One was a new player and one had been playing for two years. Therefore, I figured I had five out of seven chances of winning this auction by placing 300 bids.

Unknown Factors

I did not know:

  • How many bids the remaining three active players had placed in the auction or
  • If any new players were going to join the auction.

What Next?

When the auction got down to me and one other player, a new player suddenly joined the auction. I then checked the winners’ list and learned the new player won an 800 bid pack 14 hours earlier. I looked to see if the new player had already used any of those bids in the last 14 hours. Yes, this player had used 520 bids to win another auction an hour ago. That would leave that bidder with at least 280 bids. Then I saw the same bidder also won another 200 bid pack for only 5 bids and 150 bid pack for only 5 bids. I figured this player would now have at least 620 bids to use on this auction and I only had 81. Therefore, I cancelled my bids.

That’s Not Fair

When I was young, I often said, “that’s not fair,” and my mother would say, “Life is not always fair, so get used to it.” I would respond by saying, “But life should be fair. I want it to be fair. It’s not fair that life isn’t always fair!”

Regardless, I still have a strong sense of honesty and fairness because most of us want life to be as fair as possible; right? That is the main reason I started shopping on DealDash.com — the fair and honest shopping site.

DealDash Is Honest and Fair

What makes DealDash honest and fair?

DealDash started with the idea of developing a “fair and honest” shopping site for its customers. Therefore, many customer benefits have been implemented with that goal in mind, such as the following:

  • All auction products on DealDash are high quality with accurate descriptions.
  • If new customers do not win with their first bid pack, they can ask for their bids back to get another chance try again free of charge.
  • Postage and handling is always free, with no hidden charges.
  • If any product is defective, it will be replaced.
  • DealDash offers several ways for its customers to earn or win free bids.

Outstanding Customer Service

The bottom line is that DealDash makes customer satisfaction a top priority. If we ever have any problems, all we have to do is contact customer service. I have been a DealDash customer since Feb. 8, 2012, and DealDash has the most amazing customer service I have ever experienced. They have been there to help me 24-7.

Read the Descriptions

“What you see is what you get.” Flip Wilson first coined that phrase on TV in the 1960s and later used it in his own show in the 1970s, but its origin dates back long before that.

You might ask, “What does this quote have to do with shopping on DealDash.com and/or is it true?” Well, maybe it is and maybe it’s not.

Auction Photos

DealDash does an excellent job of posting clear photos, so most of the time I think that just looking at the photos is good enough for me. I only read the description if I never saw the product before and don’t know what it is or what it does.

Before we start shopping on DealDash, however, it might be a good idea to read the descriptions of the auction products, too.

Auction Descriptions

By reading the descriptions we learn a lot more about the auction products than we do by simply looking at the photos.

For example, I once placed a lot of bids on a projector screen that I did not win, so I did a BIN (Buy-It-Now) to get all my bids back free. That was a huge mistake because I failed to read the description. Therefore, I ended up with an expensive product that I did not really want. I wanted a smaller, mobile screen with legs that I could take in my car and set up at various locations. Instead I got a huge screen that was meant to be permanently installed in one place. It came with a lot of complicated hardware to mount to a wall and roll up and down.

It was my own fault that I ended up with a product I could not use because I failed to read the description. If I had read the description of the movie screen, I would not have placed bids on it in the first place because it was not the kind of screen I wanted.

Customer Reviews

Besides reading the description of the auction product before we start bidding, we can also read customer reviews. By reading the product descriptions and reviews, we could avoid wasting money on products we never use.

Winning Photos

Did you ever wonder what it takes to submit a winning photo on DealDash.com?

Let’s take a look at some of the things we can do to take an outstanding photo that could win the “Photo of the Week” contest and get rewarded with 1,000 free bids.

Good Lighting

To take a great photo, we might make sure we have good lighting so the photo will not come out too dark or out of focus. We can often get the extra light we need by turning on some lights or opening some curtains. If we turn on lights and take the photo directly into the light, it can cause light spots and we do not want that to happen. Light spots can usually be prevented by standing in a different place. Sometimes we need to move around and take the photo from different angles to get the best results.

Close Up Photos

Distracting backgrounds that takes the viewers eyes away from the main subject we want to include in the photo is what we might call “noise.” To avoid a distracting background, the photographer should not stand too far away from the winner with the winning product. It is usually best to get a tight, close-up photo of just the winner with their product, nothing else.

Happy Faces

The winner should have a happy and/or excited expression on their face. The subject’s facial expression should not look as if he or she is attending a funeral. Winning a product at a bargain price should be a happy event and the photo should depict that.

Be Creative

Do not be afraid to get creative. Instead of taking a photo of the winner just holding the item he or she won, perhaps you could take a photo of the winner actually using the item. Action shots are often more interesting to look at. Think of different ways to take the photo that will make it stand out from the usual static shot.

Save Money, Get Free Bids

One of the best ways to save money when shopping on DealDash.com is by getting free bids. Shoppers on DealDash can get free bids in many different ways.

Shopping Daily

By shopping on DealDash every day, customers can win up to 15 free bids. For each day we open the site and place a minimum of one bid, we automatically receive free bids, starting with just a few until we reach a maximum of 15.

If we want to keep our daily free bids, however, we must make sure we open the site within the same 24-hour window each and every day. I have such a crazy schedule that I often lose my daily free bids. When I fail to check in the same time every day, it starts all over again. Do not make the same mistake. To get the maximum free bids every day, it is best to keep a set schedule to ensure you do not miss that 24-hour window.

Submit a photo

If we submit a photo with an auction product worth $200.00 or more, we can get up to 350 free bids. All we have to do is take a clear, close-up photo with the product we won, along with some basic information like our name, the name of the item, the Buy It Now price and how many bids we used to win it. We can also add a brief comment about how we felt about winning it. Then submit the photo by email to: [email protected].  DealDash customers are allowed to submit up to one photo per week.

Earn Time on the Clock

Every time we place a bid in any auction on DealDash, we earn up to 10 seconds on the clock. If we look on the bottom left-side of our computer screen, we will see a green line. Every time we place a bid, our time line moves to the right. Once it gets all the way to the right, we will win free bids. How long it takes for our time line to move all the way to the right and how many free bids we receive depends on what level we are at. The higher the level, the longer it takes, but the more bids we receive. Every time our green time line gets to the end, we move up a level.
