Want Wins? DealDash Tips to the Rescue!

DealDash

Do you like you should be getting more wins on DealDash? Let’s look at your strategies and see what might be going wrong.

Everyone who bids on DealDash uses a strategy, whether they realize they’re using it or not. Some of us think deeply about our strategies and others not so much. Some of us consciously try to change up our strategies to confuse other bidders, and some don’t. That’s the great thing about DealDash, you can bid any way that you want, and other people can bid any way that they want. There are very few rules on DealDash, such as no team bidding and no vulgar names, but you can basically bid however you feel best suits the particular auction that you are trying to win.

Are You Being TOO Cautious?

Personally, I feel like I am a rather cautious DealDash player. I don’t ever go for huge wins such as TVs or computers because I am not prepared to BIN (But It Now) them. I stick with small to medium sized items or gift cards because I am always ready to BIN these things. However, there are bidders even more cautious than me who rarely spend more than 25 or 50 bids on an auction. This is probably because they aren’t prepared to BIN if they don’t win. If you’re more on the cautious side, then perhaps you should stick with auctions that you actually need and want. This way you can spend more than 20 or so bids and have a much greater chance of winning the auction.

Or Maybe You’re Too Reckless

On the flip side of the cautious coin, there are other bidders who are much too reckless with their bids. They will throw 100 bids here, and 100 bids there, and another 100 bids on another auction, all at the same time. They won’t stay and monitor the auctions, they just keep throwing bid after bid after bid onto different auctions, all at the same time. This is not typically considered a good strategy, because even though you can use the BidBuddy on as many auctions as you like at the same time, you will have better results if you monitor the auctions that you are bidding on, and add more or cancel your BidBuddies as you need to.

Bid How You Like

No matter how cautious or how reckless you are on DealDash, that’s okay! Maybe you can be cautious one day and reckless the next, and keep the other bidders guessing. It’s always good to have a little mystery in your life, why not start with DealDash?

Tips for Dealing With Other DealDash Bidders

DealDash

Have you had a little bit of trouble with other bidders since you started on DealDash? Not to worry, DealDash can help you with a few tips and tricks to get along with the other bidders.

Bidding on DealDash is fun and exciting, but sometimes you might get into little tiffs here and there with the other bidders. Not that you’ll really know, anyway, since there is not a bidder chat feature. I personally think that is a GOOD thing. I can only imagine some of the things that people might say to each other! Here are some ideas to keep on the other bidder’s good sides. Why not? Keep it friendly!

Don’t Stomp, People. Just Don’t.

If you were to ask other bidders what their pet peeves are, “Stompers” and “Jumpers” would be at the very top of the list on DealDash. What are Stompers and Jumpers, you might wonder? A Stomper picks an auction, and rather than bidding politely and waiting for the timer to go down to 2 or 3 seconds they bid immediately after a person, therefore cheating the person out of their “clock time.”  The Jumper is someone who waits until the auction has practically reached the $5 No Jumper limit and places their first bid, usually between $4.50-$5. This is also true when DealDash runs their “$3 No Jumper Limit, as well. The Jumper will wait until the auction has reached $2.75 or so and then jump right in.

Don’t Over-Bid for Fun

Are you the sort of bidder who stops bidding when you have reached the BIN limit? Great, keep doing what you’re doing! However, if you’re the sort of bidder that keeps bidding on and on and on, even after the auction has reached the BIN price, that’s not a good way to get along with other bidders.

Have you ever been in an auction that ended for twice the amount of the BIN price? This happens fairly often in gift card auctions when it’s a Half-Price or Free Auction Weekend promotion. It’s very aggravating to the other bidders, and no one will thank you for it. It can sometimes backfire on you as well if the auction ends unexpectedly and it’s NOT a Free Auction Weekend. Of course, these are just my personal suggestions, please feel free to bid however you like on DealDash – they are your bids to use as you like. All bidders, rude and polite, love to bid on DealDash.

Tips to Maximize DealDash Wins

DealDash wins

Everyone loves to win on DealDash – no one plays to lose, after all! Here are some tips from DealDash to maximize your auction wins.

Have been paying attention to all of the helpful information that all of the DealDash blogs provide? Wait, you didn’t know that there was more to read than just the DealDash Tips blog?! You’re missing out! There are actually three blogs that provide daily information. In addition to this blog, DealDash Tips, there is also DealDash Blog and DealDash Reviewed. Be sure that you are checking out all three of the blogs on a daily basis, you wouldn’t want to miss anything.

Bid Early and Often

If you aren’t checking out DealDash when you get up in the morning, then you aren’t winning as many auctions as you could be. There are definitely fewer bidders participating in the early hours of the morning when compared to the “prime time” bidding hours of around 8PM-Midnight. You might have to set your alarm clock a little earlier in the morning, but it’s totally worth it when you realize how many more auctions that you can win in the early morning.

When I say to bid often, I mean every day. You don’t actually have to place bids every day, but at least check out the site and see what people are bidding on and by checking out the Winner’s Tab you can see when the auctions are closing, and what the final auction fees end up costing. When you bid early and bid often you’re a step ahead of the competition.

Use DealDash Bookmarks and Alerts

When you see an item that is coming up for auction soon but isn’t going to start for a few hours, then bookmarking is the way to go. Bookmarking an auction on DealDash is just one click! Just click on the little outline of a star in the upper right corner of the auction and you’re good to go! The little star will turn solid, and the auction will now be pinned to your DealDash home page. If the auction is further away, then you’ll want to set an alert.

Setting an alert is simple and can be set on absolutely anything in DealDash’s massive inventory. All you have to do is click the button that says “Alert me” and DealDash will send you an email when an auction has been scheduled for this item. DealDash will alert you when the auction is starting within a couple of days, and then again when the auction is starting within a couple of hours.

Tips to Greater Wins on DealDash

DealDash

Small wins are easy on DealDash. How do you get greater wins? Read on to find out.

So you think you’re a pretty great DealDash player, am I right? I’m sure you are, look at you, winning all sorts of small auctions! There are bigger wins to be had out there, though, are you ready to get bigger and greater wins? The bigger the win, the more bidders that are interested in the item. The more bidders that are interested, the harder the item is to win. Here are some tips from DealDash to get that next big win.

Know Thy Competition

One of the most important things about snagging that big win is to do your research on the competition. Because realistically, the other bidders are the only thing that’s standing in the way of you getting your coveted prize. Now, DealDash likes to keep a friendly environment, but there’s nothing wrong with a little healthy competition.

How can you get to know your competition? There are a few things that you can do. Firstly, you’ll want to keep an eye out for re-occurring bidders that you see when you are bidding in auctions or even just watching auctions. Be sure to take note of any bidders that you see over-bidding. For example, if you see someone bidding on a $25 gift card whose price has risen to $24 already, you know that they are going to end up paying more money than the gift card is really worth. Either they are not very good at math or trying to prove a point to the other bidders. Either way, you’ll want to steer clear of them.

Big Bids, Big Wins

If you have finally decided to go after a bigger win, after only participating in small auctions, you’re going to have to adjust your thinking a little bit. Doing a BIN (Buy It Now) on a $50 gift card or a $100 pair of earrings isn’t too financially painful. However, if you’re looking for a huge score such as $14,000 massage chair, well, it’s pretty unlikely that you’re going to do a BIN on it if you lose. Therefore, you’re going to have to adjust your thinking to get used to the idea of losing some bids without the safety net of Buy It Now. Of course, BIN is available on every single auction, including the high-valued ones. However, the average bidder on DealDash doesn’t typically do BINs on such expensive items.
